The GX470 is a hidden gem 🔥
I agree. I hate when people label them soccer mom cars because I already knew that the gx470 is one of the best, reliable and most capable off road vehicles made. They’re baby land cruisers. A lot of people didn’t know about these vehicles until the overlanding craze started to get popular
I love that people label them soccer mom cars because they're less desirable to kids who will destroy them. It's hard to find clean 4Runners for that reason. @@Mr.International82
This build is so beautiful. I would never do all of the off roading but I would make the exterior look like this just because how perfect it is

This thing is super nice. Just got in to a GX470 and looking for ideas. So far I like it way more than my FJ Cruiser though. I feel like I could have kept more of my stuff from the FJ Cruiser though to use on this. But I'm looking forward to a fresh build.
The color on this is definitely hot though. Lot's of neat little touches.
I wanted an FJ myself a few years back. When choosing between the two platforms there's a lot of factors to consider (V6 vs V8, seating, price, heritage) and I don't think you can go wrong either way. Good luck on your build!

Why did u Mount the uhf on the dash.. u only need the hand piece visible as all the controls including the speaker are on the hand piece .. would look much cleaner if u put the uhf under the dash.

Holy crap those are beautiful headlights but ouch at a 6 month wait and $1500. It doesn't appear that the front has bump stops, did you need/do an upgrade to the rear. That is an amazing vehicle I just thought I had an awesome GX🤣 but I was wrong. Happy trails from Texas.
the lights are not cheap but the difference it can make at night is well worth it!
