About The Mod
Mercury Rising is a custom campaign mission based on a multiplayer map Mercury Falling. It's using a variety of cut and custom assets all of which have been edited to some extent to work properly. The map is fairly open and you can take different routes to reach your destination which will give you a different experience every time you play.
The entire mod has been made in roughly 5 weeks. There are some things that could have been done better but the whole idea was to make the mod as fast as altis94 could.
Co-op
The mod works on co-op. Each player has a slightly different character model and both players appear during cutscenes.
Equipment
There are 2 new grenade types:
Bubble Shield - Provides cover for 10 seconds
Health Regeneration - Restores player's health and shields over time

Digsite team - Cyborg, Drinol and Slug Man bipeds, Shadow and Spectre vehicles
VKMT - Gravity Rifle, Excavator, Sniper Rifle weapons

Galap - Fixed engineer animations
unevenelefant5 - marine and sentinel variants, artybug biped, chaingun and SMG weapons
Lone Warrior - Sentinel Crawler biped

It is shocking the Spartan now is going up against humans who sided the Covenant. This mod is intense.
It baffles me how someone hadn’t made a “Contact Harvest” mod or halo spin off’ that’d be tight !

Amazing. Stands up and above to the OG Halo CE. You could definitely pass this off as a DLC for the game back in the day. High quality.
Sniper enemies are super frustrating, but on the flip side it’s really cool to see an almost entirely different sandbox. I love the pistol especially with its more headshot friendly magnetism, as well as the Proto-hydra weapon

Music in the beginning is pretty good

All halo 2 had to be was this: same look, same motions, same sounds, just new campaign and some new items. That's it.

Incredible mod, anyways, are you planning on updating your AI spawning mods in Halo 3? That mod was one of the best until it doesn't work anymore.
