Hello, I tried following a long to install the windows 10-365 lab environment but during the install process i am running into a notificatio that goes "cannot validate argument on parameter 'percent complete' the 105 argument is greater than the maximun range of 100 Supply an argument that is less than or equal to 100 and then try the command again. I have tried trouble shooting with no luck.
After clicking on next the same bsod occurs I tried every way to go to that recovery or automatic repair option but in mid way that bsod occurs, I'm helpless Can any know anothor way to go to the command prompt
You may not have crowdstrike installed. If you need to update windows it should be fine; just make sure it is not the other windows update issue that some people had. That issue was not crowdstrike related.
how do you elevate admin mode when in safe mode our systems sop and wait / prompt for that elevation and thus cant remove the file, i have a linux usb that will boot and let me navigate and remove but not for remote users
If the file is not there it could be an issue with something else. Also, I heard that in some cases file is called something else, like, instead of 291 it is 32 something... I forget which.
@@KristyGurung555 U need to update windows and transfer the data ,somehow some data will be lost.But,There is no option u need to update windows.Go to the service centre he will do it.Mine was also the same prblm ,I gave it to service centre
@@KristyGurung555 The issue could be with windows update and not crowdstrike, this is why there is no folder for it. There is a windows update that cause the same issue, BSOD.
both methods didnt work for me (dont see the startup settings), I had to take the HD out and put it in a external enclosure, unlock the BitLocker, browse to that location as E:\drive and delete the file
We've been deleting the 33.sys file not sure why everyone is deleting the .293 as we have had great success booting in safe mode deleting that driver and restarting. I work at a hospital with over 20K computers. this fix works just fine.
@@Cobuman after booting on bootable usb when I click on next on language and region selection screen it crashes to that bsod say ntfs.sys failed I can't find any way to go to the automatic repair screen for accessing cmd
Or you could use a Windows PE on a bootable flash drive and just go through and delete the bad file, then reboot back to the main OS and everything should be fine...

I have mentioned this in the video. If you have bitlocker enabled it will ask you for the bitlocker key. I don't know about most companies as that would be insider information about security, but normal practice is to have a local admin account on every computer with a LAPS that changes every day-which will let you login without network.

It loads up windows and a dos window. And you command like to the c: cd \windows\system32\drivers\crowdstrike folder. And from there you either del c-00000291* or ren c-00000291* WHATEVER NAME. This takes about 5 to 8 mins per computer. I just did 200 yesterday and a few this morning. And if you come across one that just loops that different steps. But the same at the end once you get the option to up.

If I don't see the crowd folder in my dell driver am I safe to do an window update? I'm very hesitant to do any window update.

Try to start your PC with Hirens Boot CD (USB). You will have access to all your files.

Imagine that some people would eventually run into this issue and would have to rip the drive.

You may have other issues. It could be a bad hard drive. Reinstall OS at this point is what I would do.

Sure, any hard drive utility that can access the file system can do it.
