Just a heads up someone commented on my thread with your pic and and an ad pretending to be you. Luckily I'm not dumb enough to follow the link but just letting you know
The best thing about sakura is her potential. She had so many things to develop, so many things to show and problems to solve (issues with parents and family which narusasu had nothing to do with for understandable reasons, uchi naru sakura as her 2nd personality (really interesting inner conflict between disciplined and hot-tempered sakuras), genjutsu training with Kurenai for example, earth and water jutsus, creating her own one, usinf a slug sage mode or something like that, caring about being a shinobi but not about your appearance, loving the person who treats you well, representing the idea of hard-working and loving yourself). With naruto sakura definitely was herself (he was too; with hinata naruto is dumb and way calm) and, without a shadow of a doubt, he was a good couple for her. She had a lot of things to study. Sakura could not just copy tsunade but become somebody like Orochimaru who knows a lot and can do a lot. Being the smartest among kakashi students haruno could have been the brain of team 7. Shikamaru would have been a great teacher of strategy for her. She could have befriended Lee with Hinata and neji, asked them to teach her taijutsu that also would have improved their relationship. So many interesting fights were not shown with her (itachi - genjutsu type, kabuto - medical ninja, sasuke - 5 kage sammit arc, konan - a talented woman vs a hard-working girl). Her friendship with Ino had an opportunity to make them soulmates just like naruto and sasuke, represented a sisterhood in this story. The relationship with uchiha would have been interesting too: she could have moved from an obsessive girl not able to tell him off to a lady being herself with her comrade and ready to punch this boy to bring him to life if he starts freezing up like the mc sometimes. Not only naruto but she also could have helped him change for the better and been that person who forgave him but stayed his good friend and believed in him, saw the light in sasuke. My question: was it that difficult to write? Well, what am I talking about? Even her trainings and parents weren't shown in the manga, let alone something else. Sakura obviously is the biggest wasted potential of kishimoto
@@lucyuzumakirose It was a short crack fic that was called "Goal oriented" i think. Its litterally sasuke Being a absolute idiot And still a good guy even thought he did everything the same as in the Canon up until the Itachi fight where he was just Like "Well i guess i should go back home now."
Shes the only one who didn't come from a ninja family right? If I'm not mistaken she's LITEREALLY the only one from the main cast that is basically a normal person in a world of police ninjas, and she help her own for the most part I'd say. Especially since her two teammates were gods.
Sakura vs. Sound Ninja is probably my favorite moment in all of Naruto and I love part one Sakura. Sakura's entire character arc is about dealing with her deep self-hatred and overcoming her insecurities, which I related to a lot watching as a young girl. She acknowledged how hypocritical she'd been. None of her actions, up to this point, aligned with her words or how she wanted to carry herself. In that moment, she vowed to work hard to change herself, and she did. It takes a lot for someone to admit to their shortcomings. She had so many admirable qualities from the beginning, I really don't understand the flack she gets.
That was a really wonderful moment for Sakura, and my second-favourite after the Sasori fight. Even though she lost, she did *incredibly* well with a very limited skillset, and at one point was inches away from straight-up killing Zaku. It was the first flash of true inner strength we got from Sakura. The problem is... she actually didn't follow through. Not for a very long time, at least. There was a *MONTH* inbetween the preliminaries and the 3rd round of the chunin exams, and Sakura... did nothing? Even if all the Sensei's were busy training 3rd round candidates, there was zero mention of her doing any work on herself whatsoever - which was very jarring the first time I watched, because it flew right in the face of the resolve she found over the course of the prelims & forest of death. And EVEN AFTER she could barely help in the fight against Gaara, even when Sasuke was unconscious for weeks after his encounter with Itachi, even when Naruto went on a hunt for Tsunade to get Sasuke back on his feet and nearly died in the process, Sakura was still just sitting around in Konoha doing nothing. It's only when the timeskip started that Sakura FINALLY started training. I mean, I'm pretty certain at this point that Kishi was straight-up at a loss with what to do with the majority of the young female cast if he couldn't damsel them. It really feels like he panicked after Sakura's moment in the Forest of death going "Oh crap! Can't have her become self-reliant yet, need her as the damsel in the Gaara fight/crying at Sasuke's bedside/tearfully begging Sasuke not to leave/tearfully begging Naruto to bring Sasuke home".
@@ceridwenaeradwr8105 she did follow through though. She becomes the strongest kunoichi in the Hidden Leaf and the top medical ninja in the Naruto universe. I agree with you, it wasn't instantaneous growth, but can you blame her? I don't think she had any direction or focus until Tsunade came back to the village. She's not from a prominent ninja clan so she doesn't get any special jutsus passed down to her, and there weren't any teachers who took special interest in her. She's already skilled with ninja tools and basic ninjutsu, there's only so much she can do by herself without the direction of a teacher. It's not until Tsunade returns and heals Sasuke that Sakura realizes where her talents can be of use. She seeks Tsunade out and trains super hard during the blank period and we see it pay off in Shippuden. By the end of the series, she's accomplished everything that she set out to do and continues to grow throughout the blank period and into Boruto. She wavers and her growth isn't always linear, but it's realistic, and that's why I identify with her so much. I do agree that Kishimoto dropped the ball with almost all of his female characters, and as a female fan, it's frustrating to watch. There's so much more that could have been done with Sakura's character. Despite that, she's still my nostalgic, comfort character.
Okay. So, the joke is that Sakura is useless and some people take that joke too seriously. I mean, early on in the story, I can actually absolutely agree with that, but she grows, gains new abilities and definitely has her moments later on in the story. Of course, she also has plenty of moments where she completely drops the ball, but that's beside my point. In all honesty, over time, she becomes a kunoichi of very respectable strength and I genuinely think Granny Chiyo and Sakura vs. Sasori is one of the best battles in the entire anime franchise. The problem with Sakura isn't that she's truly useless. The problem with Sakura is that Kishimoto is self-admittedly bad at writing female characters in general, worse yet, teenage girls. As a result, her character was mainly focused on two things throughout the entire story. One being Sasuke, and two, getting stronger in order to be near Sasuke and Naruto. What completely ruined her character was a single-minded obsession with Sasuke that persisted even when he was trying to kill her. Which happened more than once, iirc. They never had anything in common, they never had any reason to be anywhere near each other beyond being part of the same squad, and Sasuke's reaction to her excessive unwanted attention was entirely justifiable when they were kids. No matter what happened, all she ever focused on wss Sasuke. It was extremely annoying and generally disgusting the way it consumed her. To the point where all she could do was swoon, even when he was about to stab her with intent to kill. Effectively making her nothing but a hindrance to the people who cared about her. Then, they capped off the story with her marrying her abuser. Something that pretty much encapsulate the entire problem with her character. Sasuke x Sakura wasn't a love story. It was a tragedy and it was painful to watch. She was nigh-unbearable in pretty much any scene where she wasn't fighting. Like, straight-up, she got less charisma than a potato and it's exhausting. Oh, and it was absolutely revolting when she pretended to be interested in Naruto to try to stop him from going down the path he was on. Genuinely some of the most repulsive and reprehensible behavior in the series. All of that is why she is very possibly the worst Naruto character. Also, there's virtually nothing interesting about her character. She pretty much doesn't have a backstory or much of a story at all until she becomes Tsunade's pupil. Due to Kishimoto's aforementioned lack of aptitude when it comes to writing female characters, he didn't put any energy into her at all. So, she's pretty much just an actually near-useless third wheel until she decides to become Tsunade's student.
@@laney1267 She does become a kunoichi of very respectable strength, but that's ruined by the fact that her personality is a complete dumpsterfire. Debatable whether she's the strongest kunoichi though. Since she pretty much just becomes young Tsunade. Edit: My mistake. For some reason I thought you were saying that she's the strongest kunoichi in the world. She probably is the strongest kunoichi in the Hidden Leaf at this point, but I wouldn't say she's the smartest and her personality is still terrible.
Had Sakura been given a little more character development earlier and a chance to shine properly, I think she would have been recede better. In Shippuden, I came to like her as a character. Her fight with Sasori is me oft my favorite arcs in the series.

I can't remember for sure, but I believe what happens is him trying to stab Sarada like he's having flashbacks about his "wife". 🤣
That Riley Reid line killed me😂. Sakura on her own is quite formidable as well as on a tram being the best assist/healer a team could have. Great video
I wish that Sakura had more fights like the one with Sasori. Sooner in the series. I think she’s still an underutilized character all things said & done. I also would have also liked to see her get over Sasuke & have him chase her. It would have been nice to see her intimidate him more power wise & personality wise.
I don't have issues with Sakura, but this guy (like many others) is telling lies about naruto being a reincarnation. Lies he shouldn't tell you because it's highly disrespectful of japanese and asian beliefs If you want to know the reincarnation point is actually a cultural problem that Naruto has. This comes from the fact that the Japanese have a very different view of seeing these concepts. I'm sorry if this is a bit long and complicated. This reincarnation, like this story of child of the prophecy are actually Buddhist concepts (the samsara and karma) which are well known in Japan and Asia. Rinnegan literally means "the samsara eye" and karma you generally know what it is (as a reminder if you do good/bad things, good/bad things happen to you). The main concept of this reincarnation is that each person's basic situation is caused by the karma of the actions of their past lives (in this case the basic situations of Naruto and Sasuke were greatly influenced by the actions of Hashirama and Madara) but despite everything they can react in the present by their own actions (which explains the end, and yes this thing is the logical continuity with Neji). Page 70 of Naruto databook 4 also confirms that the cycle of reincarnation in which Naruto and Sasuke are is the samsara. Naruto who is the reincarnation of Ashura is nothing special, it's just a natural phenomenon on how many people view life in Japan (and Asia). Globally, there are between 1 and 1.6 billion people in the world who believe in samsara (Hinduism and Buddhism combined). It's just that here Kishimoto tries to deal with this aspect by showing that even if what happens to you is similar it doesn´t mean that you will make the same choices (as the rikudo says) For the story of the child of the prophecy, the prophecies also exist in his religions. It´s actually the actions specific only to Naruto because what Gamamaru sees is the karma of individuals (page 83 of databook 4 explains that gamamaru has the power to see the karma of individuals, in Buddhism it´s the divine eye power from what I have read). This is again a problem of cultural conception Naruto also has a third level reading on religion (which is basically its main subject if you look deeper) since the conflicts between the Uchiha and the Senju are in terms of beliefs a big representation of the conflicts that exist between Shintoism and Buddhism (which are the 2 main religions of Japan, besides susano, amaterasu, izanami/izanagi etc… come from Shinto folklore), and the manga ends on the fact that it´s by overcoming hatreds and divisions and by advancing together that it will be possible to bring peace and build a better world (moreover for the anecdote, in Japan it´s possible to be believers of the 2 religions). I get these informations from several searches on the internet (wikipedia, interviews and forums), in term of video I recommend the video of Korean Dost on Naruto and also the video, Naruto's Complex Subtext and Themes: Buddhism, Shintoism, and Hinduism if you are interested . Pay attention to what you hear on the internet. The case with kimba and the lion king is already a big proof, but this case is even worse
@@hc.117 That was a fascinating read, but I wonder if you mistyped a part of it. Your first sentence states; "I don't have issues with Sakura, *but this guy (like many others) is telling lies about naruto being a reincarnation* ." However the beginning of your fifth sentence in the third paragraph states; " *Naruto who is the reincarnation of Ashura* is nothing special, ..." I'm confused as those two statements completely contradict each other, which is why I thought you may have mistyped. Unless this is one of those, "Well yes, but actually no." situations, in which case I am more than open to hear you elaborate on it. I'll definitely check out those vids you recommended, because that sounds just as fascinating as what you shared today.
Let's talk about the fact that no one ninja village should be willing to go to war with Konoha, they have 6 (7 if you want to count orochimaru) kage level people in the village. It honestly makes 0 sense to want to fight that, you're almost destined to lose.
Assuming you talking current Boruto: Naruto Sasuke Sakura Orochimaru Old ass Tsunade ? Lee? If you give him gates and call him war guy? Boruto/Kawaki?? Konohamaru and Sai o_O Which are the 7
I think of Naruto & Sasuke's relation to Sakura is like how soccer/football is portrayed (and sports in general, really), the offense is much more popular and glorified since they score the goals and usually are the ones doing the flashy plays, but no one can object to the defense being just as important. The defense's job is to stop the opponents from scoring, but that's not as exciting and therefore defenders are less popular overall, and subjected to more criticism as their mistakes pave the way for goals and losses more often than when the offense makes a mistake. Naruto and Sasuke definitely portray the offense, but Sakura is much like the defense, both just as important as the other but Naruto and Sasuke get to live in the spotlight and Sakura's really only paid attention to when she makes a mistake (lying to Naruto at the end of the Kage Summit arc). Sakura does have offensive power, but as a medical ninja her role as a defensive and protective character is better suited for her.
Nah... the issue isn't that no one cares about Sakura, it's the fact that she's actively hated. Like, no one talks about defenders because the strikers are doing ronaldo chops and bicycle kicks, but no one says "Yeah that defender is useless" or "That defender is annoying". So, comparing football to this doesn't really work.
Damn I always though “what does Sakura get!?” Or “how is she keeping up with these powerhouses around her” and this video perfectly sums it up! Love it man
People call Sakura trash based on a misinterpretation of her actions (well, lack of action) during the early Naruto days when she completely froze up during the Zabuza arc and not doing much to help her team. You absolutely were meant to view her as weak and useless during that arc because the Zabuza arc was made to show that ninjas are not mindless invincible tools but they are complex fragile humans, so her breaking down and crying in the middle of battle while doing nothing of use for the mission actually emphasises the fragility of her humanity in a cruel ninja world. Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura on that day learned that being a ninja (a child soldier) is a horrifically cruel experience. Zabuza and Haku shaped them into the adults they eventually became. During the 4th Ninja War, when Kakashi fought the reanimated version of Zabuza and Haku he thanked them both for being his students' first opponents. Team 7 realised just how awful the ninja world was, how weak they were and the importance of friendship between one human and another. This is why Naruto cried for Zabuza and Haku even though they were his enemies, it was because both of them were human victims of a cruel world.
I couldn't have said it better myself. For many years, it was long awaited for Sakura's dynamic growth. But... *Kishimoto be like* : Let's buff Naruto and Sasuke as hell and make it seem like Sakura is actually catching up to them... (Whisper) "Psst, she actually doesn't but let's give her insane abilities". *Happy Celebration of the Female Child* everyone 🎉🎉👍👍

@@hc.117 Your points make sense, but the problem is the Kishimoto also goes out of his way to make it clear a large amount of the power these characters gained is BECAUSE of their reincarnate status. Do you think Naruto and Sasuke would've been visited by Hagoromo if they weren't reincarnations of Indra and Asura? If that were the case, how come the first thing Hagoromo tells them about is their reincarnated past lives? Why is that his main focus before moving onto Kaguya? And the fact that the entire storyline of the war arc revolved around these reincarnates (Hashirama, Madara, Naruto and Sasuke) lends more credence to the idea that in Naruto, your power is moreso dictated by your connections than your own strength. That's not to say that one's own power doesn't help at all, but even a 50/50 split between genes and hard work spits in the face of original Naruto's message and considering the level of power Naruto got from Hagoromo alone (not even including the power given to him by his bloodlines and parents [Kurama, Uzumaki chakra pool, Sage Mode compatibility]), it's almost a joke to say that Naruto is entirely made by his own decisions. and 'just influenced by the karma of his past lives'. I get what you mean, Naruto's plot draws heavily from the mythology and religious pretext of Japan, but the execution of those ideas was morphed over the 15 years (1999 - 2014) that it ran and the story went from "Naruto is heavily disadvantaged by his family life and his past and so his own strength is what decides what he is capable of" to "Yeah his parents are ninja Flash and the worlds strongest chakra battery, he's a reincarnate of Ninja Jesus 1 and 2, his dad (ninja Flash) gave him the most powerful chakra generator in the world, and Ninja God gave him power so that he could fight Ninja Satan". The amount of powers Naruto uses during the final fight that was entirely his own can be summarized as: Shadow Clone, Rasengan and Rasenshuriken. Everything else was given to him either by genetic compatibility or because of his family connections. He wouldn't have gained 80% of the power he did if it werent for the fact that his dad was Minato, since that was the reason Jiraya took care of him and Kakashi watched over him. His compatibility with Sage Mode was genetic, his ability to use KCM was because Minato put Kurama inside of him, and his use of Six Paths Sage Mode was because he's a reincarnate of Asura. What it comes down to is Neji was just right at the start when he said fate determines everyone's lot in life and no one can escape it, Naruto was fated to become the strongest and fight Sasuke. The only thing he changed was that he didn't kill Sasuke but the prophesy was that they would fight not that one would win so even that's fairly loose.

That's not to say that one's own power doesn't help at all, but even a 50/50 split between genes and hard work spits in the face of original Naruto's message and considering the level of power Naruto got from Hagoromo alone (not even including the power given to him by his bloodlines and parents [Kurama, Uzumaki chakra pool, Sage Mode compatibility]), it's almost a joke to say that Naruto is entirely made by his own decisions." kurama is its reason for being weak at the base. being an uzumaki does not give him any advantage either since kyubi absorbs his chakra and if he controls it badly it is because of him it is sure that hagoromo gives him his powers at some point, but anyway naruto has proven against neji, gaara, and pain that a failure can surpass a genius. this is not the case here, here the message is to say that the mistakes of the past are not what freezes the future "and 'just influenced by the karma of his past lives'." it is a natural phenomenon, it is the main belief in asia. nothing special "I get what you mean, Naruto's plot draws heavily from the mythology and religious pretext of Japan, but the execution of those ideas was morphed over the 15 years (1999 - 2014) that it ran and the story went from "Naruto is heavily disadvantaged by his family life and his past and so his own strength is what decides what he is capable of" to "Yeah his parents are ninja Flash and the worlds strongest chakra battery, he's a reincarnate of Ninja Jesus 1 and 2, his dad (ninja Flash ) gave him the most powerful chakra generator in the world, and Ninja God gave him power so that he could fight Ninja Satan". The amount of powers Naruto uses during the final fight that was entirely his own can be summarized as: Shadow Clone, Rasengan and Rasenshuriken. Everything else was given to him either by genetic compatibility or because of his family connections. He wouldn't have gained 80% of the power he did if he werent for the fact that his dad was Minato, since that was the reason Jiraiya took care of him and Kakashi watched over him. The only thing he changed was that he didn't kill Sasuke but the prophesy was that they would fight not that one would win so even that's fairly loose." I repeat it but kyubi is a disadvantage (it's not because he has a ton of chakra in him that he knows how to control it, controlling his chakra requires training) you overestimate tail beast because of the fact their large size and great chakra, but fighting them is possible for any well-trained ninja in the naruto universe (like jiraya or tsunade for example). being an uzumaki doesn't help since he has kyubi in him. and I let you reread my first message on reincarnation and the child of prophecy this part of your comment "ninja jesus" shows more how the misinformation stems from a cultural problem
Y’all Sakura already kinda has sage mode with that seal. She gets a power boost, regeneration , and more chakra . What she really needs is to use Gen…. . Low key she could be one of the strongest in genjustsu.
something ive always thought about. Given sakura's borderline immunity to genjutsu how easly would she break out of a genjutsu by say itachi? Sakura has been shown capable or resisting genjutsu from otsosuki in The Last movie when they went to the moon. Shikamaru said they wouldn't have gotten so far if it wasnt for her resistence to genjutsu. So how strong exactly is this resistence?
She got a big helping of Ahsoka treatment. Started out as an annoying brat, became stronger, actually became useful to the other main characters, fans actually like when she shows up now because she's part of the ol' gang and also much more mature & respectable as an adult.
I'm happy you understand her better now, but NCHAMMER 23 has been leading at this for such a long time, that I accepted her over Sasuke really long ago. *HAPPY CELEBRATION OF THE FEMALE CHILD*🎉🎉👍👍
As a girl whose faverotive character was always Sakura and would defend her to death as a child, it feels really great to have someone see her story and potential too. You're awesome :)
She's ass bro she healed Naruto and got carried by granny chio and would've got killed if it wasn't for her that's all she's done and she's fucked up numerous times like with obitos eye which would be changed everything
I never hated Sakura (actually I hated her one time when she confessed her "love" to Naruto) or thought she was useless, because she had medical ninjutsu and just thought she was mid and now after seeing this guy video @NCHammer 23 he changed my mind about her. Yes, Sakura is great!
When I was a child on a weekly basis watching flashbacks from last episode hearing Sakura felt like a drag because I was enamoured by what was Naruto or Sasuke up to. Rewatching and binging the series was much better than waiting the whole week and at one point every month 😂 My whole opinion on Sakura changed while binging
It’ll be dope if Sakura got Slug Sage Mode. Since she has Earth Release Kishimoto should’ve shown Kakashi training her using this like he trained Naruto using Wind Release.
Kakashi literally just tossed her aside. He taught sasuke and naruto and didn’t do a single thing for her but the bell exercise and that’s just teamwork smh.
@@tevinwilliams6661 why would he ? There are plenty of talented Kunoichi so it would make more sense for one of them to train her. I personally like that she trained with Tsunade I wish she would’ve also trained with kurenai
@@illwait__ that’s true but as her sensei he should’ve taught her something before she idolized tsunade and asked to be her pupil. He took an interest in sasuke first then assisted naruto in shippuden with the rasen shuriken. I’m just stating he could’ve been a better sensei toward her.
All what you said and more. With the abilities that Sakura learned from Tsunate, she could apply them for who knows how many years. I'm more than confident in saying that she is effectively IMMORTAL. A feat by the way that Orochimaru has technically not achieved as he has t switch bodies every 3 years, where Sakura does not.
@@gabrielbrooks336 ok point taken, what ment was that Sakura did it in her own body, while Orochimaru had to keep swapping bodies until he got his white zetsu one. No steeling or swapping bodies to prolong her lifespan.
Neji's point of view on destiny was missing the bull's eye but he was ultimately proven right by Naruto. What Neji was missing is that you can dictate every step that carries you towards where you're supposed to be and outsiders making commentary on your fate are very often wrong, only you know where you're supposed to end up.

Excellent video about Haruno Sakura. Always Glad to see some Respect put on Her name. She was an unfortunate casualty of short sightedness in the Fan base and Shonen tropes. By the second Naruto movie, I was a fan of Sakura and Loved seeing Her Grow as a Shinobi and Character. Thanks for Your views on this subject.
she disappeared. she is not even in the Boruto manga at all. she only had less than 3 pages of mentioned. she has no shot against any Otosuski member as well, including the new Androids.
@@Beerzy4444 Sakura is NOT important to the story though. also there was no nerfing on her since she is no match against the main villains to begin with.
@@Danny-mg1hu I'm pretty sure basically. None of the original main villains(from the Akaski to Kagura) could take on the new ones, but Sakura could take them on. In other words, Naruto/Boruto has a powerscaling problem that has gotten out of hand.

I swear to god I love you for this vid. I always loved Sakura from the beginning. I used to be a 12-year old Girl myself, when I started watching Naruto and she completly blew my mind. She has always been a role model for me, still to this day I think about her daily just because I love the concept so much that she was that one generic, almost invisible girl with all those insecurities and she overcame ALL of them, Just like me!! and she reached all of her goals through hard work, she even got to marry Sasuke. This makes me grow and bloom and working hard myself and I'm 29 now. You cant imagine the Impact she has had on me, I really dont know where I would be without her.
That’s literally why I have been saying that they fucked up Naruto’s story. To proclaim that he had to work hard, when he was already at Chunin level in the first episode, is crazy. He should have never been a reincarnation.
Ohh yeah. She's able to make a crater in the ground with one punch and you're telling me she can't even kill one dude who's already GOING BLIND?? Wait, the blind dude's Sasuke. Nevermind, my bad. Yeah, no. She could lay him out with one pimp-slap and, stop me if you heard this before, *HE'S ALREADY GOING BLIND.*
Thats the weird thing about yall, the creator made the show how he pleased and she is what she is, which is a great Shinobu but no where near the levels of Sasuke and Naruto, and nowhere near the level of importance.
I would of rather Gaara been the main character. I feel the leaf is kinda..... boring The sand has so much potential to show the struggle of just surviving. The leaf always has great starting points for everyone. The sand would be gritty and darker
My favorite part about Sakura is that she actually throws hands. None of those fancy ninja magic. If she also chose to train under Might Guy in the 8 gates, in combination with mitotic regeneration and her ability to put chakra into her strikes, she'd be the most deadly taijutsu user in Team 7, on top of being the best healer ninja in the world.

Sakura truly had it rough because she was a main character that got treated like a glorified side one. She was average, not special in any way, lacked the resources like chakra to perform at the same level as most ninjas, yet got bodied by writing and those around her taking all the attention. Sakura hardly got trained at all before the time skip because naruto was getting training from jiraiya and sasuke was being the favorite child for kakashi who btw didnt teach sakura ANYTHING like literally. Kakashi before the 3rd round of the chunin exams focused entirely on sasuke. He didnt give sakura any direction to improve herself, teach her any basic jutsu or genjutsu (like he said shed be good at), or even send her to anybody to get some special training. He completely abandonded her growth for sasuke and naruto. Sakura didnt really know her strengths at all and only until just before shippuden comes around that she finally gets trained. But this only happened because SHE took the initiative not kakashi or tsunade. Sakura had to make the move because nobody else pointed her in the right direction. Her strength before the 3rd round was completely stagnated because of how shitty of a sensei kakashi was to her. He never made time for her personally and only trained her when it also involved naruto and sasuke. Sakura could have been so much greater if her growth wasnt totally stunted by those in charge of helping her grow completely ignoring her existence and playing favorites. She would have been WAY better off with might guy because while he played favorites with rock lee (and that was understandable rock lee really needed it anyway) he still made plenty of time for neji and tenten both as a team and 1 on 1 training.

Found your channel like 3 days ago honestly I had this argument how Sakura literally came from regular background to become strongest chick aside from Kaguya to many feats and leveled up nicely
She would be a part uzumaki, senju, namikaze so she would have even better light speed mobility. Even though shes alrdy light speed by the kaguya fight BUT if she was an uzumaki she would have more chakra than any uzumaki so that wouldve been cool
I completely agree with everything you said about Sakura character. Honestly i don't know why people diss on her so much. Without her most people in the main plot of Naruto wouldn't survive. I honestly think though she didn't need to pair up with Sasuke just only have a kid by him and have them just be co-parents, there personalities, goals, emotional compatibility is not compatibility at all, how the relationship was and the past trauma they both went through its all trama bonding and that's not healthy EVER. I think it would have been more realistic for Sarada parents co-parent her instead and she still would have grew up in a healthy home.
I wonder how many people went into this with an open mind enough to actually listen to what you’re saying compared to all the people who went into it refusing to listen to your arguments because they just refuse to give her any credit? Anyway you could make a poll for that lol
I couldn’t help it but to giggle and get goosebumps every time u spit a fact. I might have trash her once or twice in Part 1 but she def earned my respects. I would love to see her step up as Hokage, I just hope her character then wont be done dirty as a Tsunade 2.0. See, it would be more interesting to see her do things that outfit her master’s achievements. Thanks for the video. 🙌🏻
Agree to all of this! Though it also does bring up something about my favorite character Kakashi. I really wish Kishimoto had had him stay true to how he was portrayed at the very beginning. That his sharingon was a huge benefit, but that it was more his mind and skill that made him dangerous even to people more powerful than him. That the Sharingon was just a tool that gave him more, as opposed to what it became later on and his using like 3 other jutsu
The sensory thing isn't Canon. It contradicts the manga. This guy was just listing fillers and non canon novels instead of using what kishimoto actually wrote
100% love the Sakura advocacy. The fact that she was the definition of a literal nobody and came out of the series stronger than anyone who wasn’t canonically given power by god is definitely true main character strength

Sakura Haruno is the true underdog. She was the only person in the Rookie 9 to be a civilian, the only one. She didn't have a hidden jutsu, a flashy jutsu or physical strength but just her intelligence and she did great things with it that are left unnoticed or overlooked by haters. She used jutsu she learnt at the Academy and became the only ninja-like ninja in there. She then struggled to be in the samd team with 3 depressed and orphan boys, even though Sakura was truly written like an orphan: stupid commets, no a single image of her parents, no backstory etcetera. She knew she didn't have anybody to give her strength so she turned to Tsunade, who became a whole clan teaching their new generation their secret jutsu. She didn't realize she was carrying the legacy of the Senju (chakra) and the Uzumaki (seals) with her despite not having a reowned name. She became the strongest girl from her generation with the help of the Hokage alone and her true innate talent. Then she unlocked her full power, she went through really awesome growing processes, made mistakes, learnt from them and faced her fears. But you know, she's a female so people will always talk trash. She's not your average mc's love interest with big boobs, shy and with no personality. She rejects the "god mc" that everybody is supposed to worship and people get mad like a woman is obligued to love the man that moves mountains for you. "She simped for somebody else while Naruto loved her" but she's not entitled to love who she doesn't want. People love to talk about her all the time. Good things or bad things, Sakura Haruno is the most talked about female animanga character in the world. "I hated when shebsaid she loved Naruto" is like she said that to the reader instead of to Naruto who got enough braincells to understand why she said that. She grew from an "orphan bully" in a matter of 3 manga panels, and as an adult she, alone, thought about building a mental health hospital ward for orphans and she succeeded. Surpassed her master, became the Head of the Medical Department, directs Konoha Hospital, is the main doctor of the series, teaches medical ninjutsu and still goes on missions. Hell she's the only jonin kunoichi of her year alongside Temari. That's the growth of a "kunoichi with no particular talent" to "the strongest kunoichi in the world". She doesn't have your average vanilla and boring marriage. She has a story, full of angst and trust, friendship and loss. Not your bad movie where the mc is gaslighted cause "everybody loves this female except you man". She understands her husband's role and accepts it, even if it causes pain to herself, there's always a moment for redemption and forgiveness. "She's flat chested" oh for fcks sake this is why nobody likes otakus. The fsct that the animation studio made Sakura as unappealing as possible so dudes can hate on her more, the diametre of her breasts doesn't determine her worth as a character. Sakura Haruno is truly the strongest kunoichi, best medic and most useful female character in that series called Naruto. But I guess everybody prefers the shy, big boob and no personality woman that hentai has brought to us.
@@sarveshnathan7559 "Useless throughout out part 1" nope friend, you read the manga and she did more ta expected for a ninja with no shinobi background and that learnt everything in the Academy. She even got others copying her because of her intelligence and praising her all the time you just selectvely choose to ignore it to make this idiotic comment for likes. "Obsesses about Sasuke" damn you just described Naruto. In fact, Sakura tells Naruto to stop obsessing over Sasuke and the boy couldn't open his mouth cause she was right. "Bitches about Sasuke not loving her" absolutely no panels of that ever happening you watched Naruto on Tiktok. "Ended her friendship with Ino over a boy" nope. She ended it because she didn't want to be in Ino's shadow nor her tag along anymore. Ino was getting to comfy and always talked about Sakura being inferior so she had to punch the blonde in the face to tell her she was growing on her own. Not to mention Ino always made fun of her and never once told Sakura to be friends again. "Emotionally blackmailed him" you think Sasuke Uchiha can be blackmailed? You just thrashed his character to hate on Sakura you suck man. Sasuke killed people he didn't want but didn't kill Sakura when he got over the curse of hatred because he loved her. "Recklessly makes stupid decisions in an effort to prove she's Naruto and Sasuke's equal" when? When she destroyed over a hundred biju clones in the War? Queen shit she did so much. When she attacked Madara? Bought time before Madara could kill them and then transformed into Kaguya so either way nobody could have done anything. You're just blaming her cause she didn't get any power ups but look at how she was the only one to survive being stabbed and now is immortal unlike your friendly nerfed characters Sasuke and Naruto. "No backstory" she was bullied and her relationship as Ino's pet prompted her to grow. More than the average side character. "No ambition" yeah of course cause wanting to help Naruto help Sasuke so she turned to Tsunade is no ambition at all you just made a fool of yourself. "Destroyed character development" yeah sure cause becoming the best medic ,the strongest kunoichi, Head of the Medical Department, director of Konoha Hospital, sole founder of therapy Centers for children, teacher of medical ninjutsu and jonin (the only jonin woman with Temari of her generation!) isn't character development? You made a fool of yourself buddy hope the likes make you feel better with yourself and enjoy all the Sakura Haruno content that Japan is giving us cause she's the most popular female character and very much loved. Your dudebro comment won't stop Japan from releasing content for their Japanese directed public and you will be tired of seeing he until you accept how great she is when you do 50 years of brain growing. Bye you're so not worth it anymore.
I love when you spill the tea on her cuz i aas bullied for liking her character in middle school when this started airing on toonami and didnt know enough about the series to appropriately defend her
The same sakura who people called useless was one of the very few people who resist kabuto genjutsu and they say she's useless in the end she also save two of the most powerful ninja in konoha yet people continues to say she's useless
I still think she should have gotten more genjutsu training. She would be so much more offensively useful if she had a couple of even minor illusions to make openings
Yay! This is why I love Sakura. I was right there with everyone in part one who disliked her annoyances with her obsession for Sasuke (even though he's been one of my favorites since he was introduced) but seeing her hard work in part two made her one of my favorite characters of all time. The only person comproble to that is HInata imo. We just didn't get to see as much of her training arc as we with with Sakura. Thanks for explaining this for people who weren't paying attention. She really did have stuff stacked against her as part of team 7, more so than the boys she was with. She's an amazing role model in this way for young women who want to keep their femininity but also be considered tough and able to handle anything they face. Great anaylsis, Nick! Thanks!
Thank you for this video, people don't give Sakura credit that she deserve.
your positivity on sakura is one of the many reasons i love your channel and all the naruto content you make
The best thing about sakura is her potential.

Well said and I completely agree with you

I don't have issues with Sakura, but this guy (like many others) is telling lies about naruto being a reincarnation. Lies he shouldn't tell you because it's highly disrespectful of japanese and asian beliefs
If you want to know the reincarnation point is actually a cultural problem that Naruto has.
It's just that here Kishimoto tries to deal with this aspect by showing that even if what happens to you is similar it doesn´t mean that you will make the same choices (as the rikudo says)
For the story of the child of the prophecy, the prophecies also exist in his religions. It´s actually the actions specific only to Naruto because what Gamamaru sees is the karma of individuals (page 83 of databook 4 explains that gamamaru has the power to see the karma of individuals, in Buddhism it´s the divine eye power from what I have read). This is again a problem of cultural conception
Naruto also has a third level reading on religion (which is basically its main subject if you look deeper) since the conflicts between the Uchiha and the Senju are in terms of beliefs a big representation of the conflicts that exist between Shintoism and Buddhism (which are the 2 main religions of Japan, besides susano, amaterasu, izanami/izanagi etc… come from Shinto folklore), and the manga ends on the fact that it´s by overcoming hatreds and divisions and by advancing together that it will be possible to bring peace and build a better world (moreover for the anecdote, in Japan it´s possible to be believers of the 2 religions).

That was a fascinating read, but I wonder if you mistyped a part of it. Your first sentence states;
"I don't have issues with Sakura, *but this guy (like many others) is telling lies about naruto being a reincarnation* ."
However the beginning of your fifth sentence in the third paragraph states;
" *Naruto who is the reincarnation of Ashura* is nothing special, ..."
I'm confused as those two statements completely contradict each other, which is why I thought you may have mistyped.
Agree to disagree all really depends on the era.
Not really a good point since other villages lost at least 2 kage in the war and all the hokages died in ambushes

Sakura
Orochimaru

So, comparing football to this doesn't really work.
i like this idea
This should be made at April fools :(
Damn I always though “what does Sakura get!?” Or “how is she keeping up with these powerhouses around her” and this video perfectly sums it up! Love it man
People call Sakura trash based on a misinterpretation of her actions (well, lack of action) during the early Naruto days when she completely froze up during the Zabuza arc and not doing much to help her team.

Hagoromo visits Naruto because he received a part of each tailed beast
"If that were the case, how come the first thing Hagoromo tells them about is their reincarnated past lives? Why is that his main focus before moving onto Kaguya?"
because his situation is influenced by karma, like the ninja world. but naruto shows that this is not what is important, the important thing is the choices made despite the situation

kurama is its reason for being weak at the base. being an uzumaki does not give him any advantage either since kyubi absorbs his chakra and if he controls it badly it is because of him
it is sure that hagoromo gives him his powers at some point, but anyway naruto has proven against neji, gaara, and pain that a failure can surpass a genius. this is not the case here, here the message is to say that the mistakes of the past are not what freezes the future
"and 'just influenced by the karma of his past lives'."
it is a natural phenomenon, it is the main belief in asia. nothing special

I repeat it but kyubi is a disadvantage (it's not because he has a ton of chakra in him that he knows how to control it, controlling his chakra requires training) you overestimate tail beast because of the fact their large size and great chakra, but fighting them is possible for any well-trained ninja in the naruto universe (like jiraya or tsunade for example). being an uzumaki doesn't help since he has kyubi in him. and I let you reread my first message on reincarnation and the child of prophecy

Especially to keep up with her family like something to stun the enemy so she can heal or land a 1 hit blow
She got a big helping of Ahsoka treatment.
Started out as an annoying brat, became stronger, actually became useful to the other main characters, fans actually like when she shows up now because she's part of the ol' gang and also much more mature & respectable as an adult.

Right, I agree with you.
She was also my role model and my fav character in Naruto.

Sakura just needs her character to be fixed. Especially when around Sasuke.

I feel the leaf is kinda..... boring
The sand has so much potential to show the struggle of just surviving.

@@baonguyenxuanthai711 perfectly said. Kakashi is the worst sensei in naruto, change my mind
@@annett5 Indeed he is.
I fell in love with your channel holy this is such factual, logical and good content
Not hard to stay to the end of the video when it’s well thought out and delivered correctly.
Found your channel like 3 days ago honestly I had this argument how Sakura literally came from regular background to become strongest chick aside from Kaguya to many feats and leveled up nicely
Sakura CRAWLED so modern females like nobara could RUN.
EVERY strong female character after 2010....owes thanks to Sakura.
I think shes the first anime witb pink hair.
Nobara is Dead and useless what?
Imagine if Sakura was Naruto's sister.
Sweet Home Alabama🤣
Exactly why Rock Lee and Sakura are two of my favorite characters! Took every bit of hard work to get where are!👊🏻
@massage-Nicopage?
I wonder how many people went into this with an open mind enough to actually listen to what you’re saying compared to all the people who went into it refusing to listen to your arguments because they just refuse to give her any credit? Anyway you could make a poll for that lol
Theres alot of hatin ass niggas who dont care and are indenial its sad
I have to say Sakura is really good at defense she's able to buy people time which is so important as a ninja she serves a purpose for team 7
Thank you for continuing to produce such incredibly well articulated, researched and entertaining content
lmaoo “congratulations you’re a well adjusted adult”
Could you do a What If video on if the Sasuke Retrieval Mission had been successful and gotten Sasuke back to the village?
His what ifs usually have this in them
Agree to all of this!
15:50 - Apparently Shikamaru was not Naruto's friend in the manga.
18:30 - She's not a sensory type, yet she was able to do all that. Impressive.
The sensory thing isn't Canon. It contradicts the manga. This guy was just listing fillers and non canon novels instead of using what kishimoto actually wrote
Thank you for putting respect on Sakura's name.
100% love the Sakura advocacy. The fact that she was the definition of a literal nobody and came out of the series stronger than anyone who wasn’t canonically given power by god is definitely true main character strength
Physically stronger only. That doesn't mean she couldn't or can't get stomped out.
She's a tank now I guess but not necessarily an interesting one.

If not then why are you taking time to naysay a character in the comment section of a video showing her appreciation?
@@amelieshuman3324 well for starters I never even paid much attention to some "typo". Secondly if you viewed that as an aggressive act then I don't know what to tell you other than gaining more perspective. I take this view with everyone in the previous Konoha 12 generation when a claim is made about their perceived power.
Apparently she now has the power and speed of all 8 Gates released and none of the severe drawbacks. I am allowed to question that until she takes out a big bad all on her own. Plus without "God" powers Naruto is still very formidable.
Rest assured I would come with the same skepticism if NChammer was a Rock Lee fanboy. Thanks.
I now have a different view of Sakura. And of the story as a whole
I still think Naruto did rise above the circumstances of his birth but yeah totally agree that Shipudden kinda....murks the message. Also among the Hokage, Minato is the only one who was not born into a bloodline with special talent or secret skill set, even if he was taught by Jiraiya....who also kinda rose above his birth now that I think about it....huh.....
And yes Sakura, Lee and Guy are honestly the only ones who truly come from nothing to become something through hardwork
I’ve always liked her since the granny chiyo sasuri arc
I once had a conversation battle with 30 people when I says Sakura might be next Hokage if something happens to Naruto suddenly
ive alway thought this growing up so heartwarming to hear this 15 years later
I really admire NCHammer 23 and his work. Making a video about the most misunderstood yet the most immensely powerful kunoichi in Naruto history (after Kaguya, my fourth favorite female (:

*HAPPY CELEBRATION OF THE FEMALE CHILD DAY* everyone
I don't have issues with Sakura, but this guy (like many others) is telling lies about naruto being a reincarnation. Lies he shouldn't tell you because it's highly disrespectful of japanese and asian beliefs
If you want to know the reincarnation point is actually a cultural problem that Naruto has.

I love this video so much, Sakura is actually an incredible character. Sure she could have been written better to have cooler moments and fights scenes so she wasn't always viewed as the damsel in distress, but ultimately just Sakura being present saved so many characters lives throughout the series. Heck Sakura saves Naruto from Zabuza's thrown sword by tackling him to the ground, preventing him from getting cut in half or decapitated. Then in the forest of death when Naruto is made unconscious by Orochimaru and about to fall to his likely death, she throws a kunai with pinpoint accuracy pinning his jacket to the tree. These are both before the Sound 3
"THE main character" is very interesting wording to say the very least.
Thank you for showing respect to Sakura i need to share this
I love yow you take the time to understand the character and don't just dump on her unnecessarily.
Yeah unlike toxic animie "fans"
Most people who says sakura is trash haven’t watched shippuden
All they saw was her doing almost nothing in the chunin exams before she got her strength or healing
Love this take! And clearly a significant amount of people agree with you because out of the hundreds and hundreds of Naruto fanfiction I've read, hands down, the best written ones are Sakura-centric where she is the MC.

How could anyone dislike her after the scene where she pumps Naruto's heart with her hand, that one got me back in the day
I wish someone would make a rewrite or a what-if series of natuto where they make the female characters live up to the potential they had rather than get sidelined

Geez, when you talked about the fight against Kaguya... My body shivered entirely. What an amazing video. Thanks bro, you enlighted me on this "truthness" that Sakura is indeed """just""" a normal kunoichi and was side by side with gods.
wow. thank you for the compliment at the end. i don't know if i would agree, but I really appreciate the sentiment! :)
Its really a shame how Kishimoto handled Sakura, right after the Kazekage retrieval arc she was sidelined like all the other characters and for no reason at all started to underperform.

I didn't have any hate for Sakura, I was just unaware of how insanely badass she is.

"Useless throughout out part 1" nope friend, you read the manga and she did more ta expected for a ninja with no shinobi background and that learnt everything in the Academy.

The only person comproble to that is HInata imo. We just didn't get to see as much of her training arc as we with with Sakura. Thanks for explaining this for people who weren't paying attention.
