Shisui wasn’t ‘blindly following the leaf’. He is the grandson of kagami uchiha. The right hand to the 2 Hokage. They were uchiha who could see beyond the trappings of a clan or village. Shisui knew a war would break out if a coup were to happen. so he left it to itachi, who knows war all to well and that all the lives lost aren’t worth it. Dan so wasn’t to blame entirely. Hiruzen if you ask me is shady as hell. Your right about about him not sitting down w fugaku and express their concerns. Probably same outcome but worth a shot

It sucks for the Uchiha that they weren't allowed to help with the Nine Tails rampage which killed Minato and Kushina. Minato as Hokage was hope for the Uchiha clan similar to Hashirama who accepted them as family. Tobirama was prejudiced towards them and Hiruzen's indecisiveness allowed the prejudice to continue. Minato was different because he actually wanted to do something but died young. It's one of the reasons why Itachi and Fugaku highly respected him. If Minato had not died young and continued his communication with both Itachi and Fugaku then he could have made way for no more Uchiha prejudice and make it known that the Uchiha belong to the Leaf as nobility.
I would not call Tobirama prejudiced, as his reasons for what he did to the Uchiha were based on his experiences, and logic (if slightly flawed) He observed the Uchiha enough, and he had battled them for the first 20ish years of his life, so he had a slight understanding on their thought processes. He saw that their intense love was a potential danger, as it could easily switch from Love to Hate. I personally believe that he made the Police Force keep them inside the village, as this decision would allow for a Lower Risk of the 'Curse of Hatred' to cultivate inside of their clan, as each member is put at a lower risk of dying. The Uchiha were also one of the best choices for the Police Force, as their Sharingan would allow for the Police to pick up on very minor details other clan members might miss (Obviously it would've been better for there to be Multiple clans like the Aburame, Uchiha, Hyuuga, Inuzuka, etc. to all work together as one main force, but having all of those clan members Co-operate would be much more difficult than it just being one clan doing the job itself)
Danzo's decision to not allow the Uchiha to help during the Nine-Tails rampage was both incredibly stupid and smart. As yes, they could easily stall or control the Nine-Tails to stop it, but at the same time having all of the Uchiha grouped and/or helping civilians would've allowed for them to uncover the identity of the person they presumed was controlling the Kyuubi (Doing this would allow for reports after the attack to show who was accounted for, and if there was the possibility of a Rogue Uchiha or not. But then again this was filler so this was never mentioned again and leaves a semi-major plot hole)
I would like to mention that from the Uchiha POV they believe that Tobirama was prejudiced towards them, but I was trying my best to put together a nonbiased (which is impossible) theory on what I think Tobirama's decisions were (I will admit that Tobirama is my favorite character, so I'm slightly biased towards him, but I tried my best to not have a bias)

The beautiful thing about Fugaku and Minato, is that in a different place and time they'd have had a rather good relationship. Their wives were best friends, they were both contemporaries in the Third Shinobi War, they were both candidates for Fourth Hokage, and all major Clans (I think) have a seat on the Council. The two of them would have been a dynamic duo.
Unfortunately it's often the good people that try to help that end up dead and the bad ones that live 😔

I'm black and I saw heavy references from the Uchiha segregation and I hated it, because it's just like what my people had to deal with in America. Arguably the Uchiha were treated worse, because they had power, yet still powerless. We go through the same things and I'm forever proud to represent the Uchiha Clan.
Shisiu was definitely a good guy, he stopped the coup which would have ignited another great ninja war killing millions of people, if that could be stopped by killing of a clan who did not see anything other than themselves i would do that

Theory: Shisui MS genjutsu is slightly different for each eye. And the one Danzo didn't get is a long-term/control type in which he can continuously change the instruction (think BioShock's "would you kindly"). He had, at some point, cast it on Itachi, and used it whenever Itachi was hesitant, changing the instructions. That's why his last words were "Finish the mission", he was cementing his final wish to make sure Itachi stops the coup and protect Konoha.
That also explains why he said the plan was ruined; his remaining eye was already in its 10 year dormancy when he used it on Itachi.
Following this logic, his plan was ruined from the start because he already used his genjutsu on Yukai. Meaning, after he uses it on Itachi he no longer has access to his MS. I think this is really interesting theory, but it needs tweaking to fit in the timeline
Awesome theory but young kids are already pretty pliable and easy to manipulate especially if your their only friend. I don't think shisui needed tricks itachi was gona follow him simply because he was itachis mentor and friend

@@Tom-bi7ir You forgetting, it's Itachi. Even as a child, he was pretty intuitive and would've picked up on things. Plus, it wouldn't matter, cause Kotoamatsukame his able to cast without the victim even noticing (as seen when Danzo used it). The way Itachi hyped it up, I don't think he himself would've noticed it on him.

You gotta love how the “good” guys solution was to brainwash the Uchiha and the “bad” guys solution was to just kill them and amongst all these incredibly smart and powerful men, no one could come up with anything else, like maybe actually trying to rectify the discrimination they’ve faced and hearing them out so that you can unite the village and preserve the strength of Konoha. Not so surprising that it was Hiruzen who also decided leaving Naruto to fend for himself and letting him be hated and believe no one cared about or loved him was a good idea.
Sounds a lot like the elite trying to suppress poor minorities and figure a way to handle every citizen across the world.
Any other decision would be insanely complicated and very risky. The Uchiha were already preparing a Coup, and most of the Clan members were already finished with the preparations by this point.
Shisui's option has minimal risk, as controlling his clan with the most broken ability in the Verse isn't risky. Danzo's option had a much higher risk though.
You cannot get rid of the hatred that everyone in Konoha has, as many people saw the Sharingan eye reflected onto the Kyuubi's when it attacked, which from there most people pushed the blame on the Uchiha.
Hear them out? How. Most of the village was suspicious due to the Kyuubi attack, and it was somewhat justified, as an Uchiha controlled the Kyuubi (A rogue one, but an Uchiha nonetheless. but Citizens could not possibly know that)
I believe Hiruzen did attempt to talk to them or wanted to. But Danzo had Itachi slaughter them all before anything noteworthy could happen.
Naruto was fine. He had a House/Apartment with a training room inside of it (Which Sasuke didn't have btw, don't know why people think Sasuke has the better home) He had Food and Money. The only things you can say he did not really have would be Family/Friends

@@StonersStowaway Hiruzen was not a bad Hokage at all. The only notable things that were bad for Konoha that happened during his 50ish years of being Kage was 1. The Wars (which are basically unavoidable) 2. Uchiha Massacre (Semi-Avoidable) and 3. Orochimaru's Experiments (which were linked to war, and Danzo's manipulation) He was a great Kage for leading his village which was considered the strongest for 50 Entire years.

Though if they don't help, a lot of death will transpire....even danzo if im not mistaken whom was part of making that decision was just like "let kuruma rampage...it'll be alright, a bunch of deaths are inevitable." As he was speaking to his root members......sooooo, hiruzen could've again stopped Minato and kushina from dying...except he was on bs with his decision making. And even towards Naruto...the man knew heavily of his parents, and yet DECIDES not to speak on them towards poor little naruto...barely tends to him, unless it's to give him some money to survive. Enables the village to just hate/despise him. Like "yeah, it's a great idea to have a whole village despise a jinjuriki...how about we follow the same crap the hidden sand did. See how much benefit that did for them...." So no.....sure he was hokage for 50ish years...doesn't mean he was entirely a good one. Actually he could do nothing against kuruma either....if Minato didn't step in, the village was DONE FOR....so again....I could speak on tobirama and other hokages...though they actually had sense. Danzo being a shadow hokage was horrible...literally enabled the creation of the akatsuki, and the killing of the Uchiha clan...whichhhhhh, holdup, hiruzen could do NOTHING towards...all he did was "take" power away from danzo, which still did NOTHING if im not mistaken. You left out that Shisui’s death and note did work to delay the coup. Part of his plan with his death was to dissuade the coup, so really he was working towards a nonviolent solution until his very end

The more i hear about Ms the more I'm sure that thier manifested powers are related to the trauma they experienced upon awaking it. Example shisui running from his friend leaving him behind cause of jealousy probably grieved thinking he wished he thought differently to save him. Itachi wishing he could have changed reality or control it but knowing he couldn't

@@jasoncruz3910 just because Hiruzen stepped down doesn’t mean Minato would and he wouldn’t step down like a year into his reign. Hashirama and Tobirama died in office. He wouldn’t step down after the Kurama attack. He would probably be Hokage for as long as tsunade was at least since he’s much younger. By the time he was Fugaku would be dead since he was 40 at the time of the Kurama attack. Next it would be Kakashi anyways since he’s his student. Then Naruto. Fugaku could’ve been hokage instead of Minato but before nor after because other people would fill those positions like Hiruzen and Kakashi.

I think when Shishui said that lost of his 1 eye made the coup unavoidable because he can't perform kotoamatsukami has some missing context. Just like Nick said, casting it on Fugaku alone is pretty weak. What if he needs both eyes to cast it in the whole, if not majority, attendees.Thus missing 1 eye will make the coup unavoidable.
I wonder what the other Mangekyo ability was. Itachi had one eye to cast Amaterasu and one to reduce it, Sasuke the same. Obito had the ability to use Kamui short range and the other was to use it long range...
@@nicholasbradford2021 They are both Kotoamatsukami for Shisui. You see it when Itachi uses the one to break free from the reanimation jutsu, while danzo uses the other periodically.
There may be different capabilities within Kotoamatsukami for each eye, not sure. But I do know both eyes had the ability

The problem with all naruto characters is that they think using superpowers are the answer to everything when it just escalates the problem leading to war
Watching this now, I'm starting to empathize with Sasuke's decision to say "screw what Itachi wanted, these people destroyed my brother and they're going to pay." Still better ways to go about it than what he did, but...I do see it, now. And the Sasuke/Danzo fight takes on a whole new level of epic in light of it.

I really wished the series hadn’t just glimpsed over the prejudice the Uchiha faced in an effort to make them seem unreasonable, because in different ways every single side in that incident was unreasonable 🥲 More backstory on Fugaku would have been nice to explain it properly from the Uchiha’s side. WHY didn’t Fugaku just talk to Sarutobi? And vice versa? For Sarutobi to be upset once the clan’s dead and demote Danzo (slap on the wrist that it is) claiming that the Uchiha were part of the village too, even though he never actually made an effort to outright address the source of the problem with Fugaku, just makes him even more unreliable as a character.
Too much pressure. He wanted the current hokage not the old trash. But lost all hope after that. Anyway, he wanted the coup they had enough. Being treated worse than the weak clans that were given shelter?! No way peace was never an option. The uchiha should be treated BETTER than hyuuga. Yet they were outcasts. Konoha really is rubbish. They treat their jinchurikis, warrior race and other villages worse than humanly possible when looking at their status. Someone like Naruto should be cherished even if for twisted reasons (like using him as a weapon).
Who's responsibility is it to open dialogue, though?
When there's such a massive power imbalance in place, how is it conceivable for a marginalised people to initiate any brand of discourse in their favour? Socially ostracised minorities, and in the case of the Uchiha I'd add physically relegated since they were confined to their compound and to a very specific (and pointless) role within the village, don't possess such agency to enact a diplomatic intervention. Simply put, they don't possess the devices necessary to be taken into consideration.

You know, I just realised something. Indra did things through force to achieve an outcome, Madara wanted to bring peace to the Village by making the others subservient to Konoha, Shisui wanted to protect the Village by making Fugaku and his Clan subservient to Konoha. Itachi did everything he did to Sasuke, just to get the outcomes he wanted for him. Sasuke did every terrible thing, to achieve each new goal that came his way.
Its funny that there is such hatred for Sasuke, but due to the Curse of Hatred perhaps creating an internal personality trait of all Uchiha, can it not be said that perhaps all Uchiha are somewhere on the gradient of just being terrible people? Madara and Sasuke get an excuse at least, since their essentially patient zero point one and point two, Indra redux. And also, while yes... Sasuke did terrible things, can it be said that other Uchiha wouldn't or hadn't done the same? They all seem to be extremists in their own ways.
Exactly that's the curse.... Even if they had the Will of Fire like Itachi and Shisui it didn't really matter. The powers they have access to just continue the cycle even if they have good intentions.

The members of the clan wanted to revolt even more than Fugaku, so shisui's mangekyo sharingan wouldn't have worked. Unfortunately, Danzo method was the best and only method to protect Konoha.

Why doesn't Itachi give Naruto Shisuis eye after he used it to be released from genjutsu. It was still a strong Sharingon and would have help Naruto kick ass and with all of Narutos charka he could use it very effectively. Using sage mode and a Sharingon in tandem would be insane.
Because it was deactivated. It has something like a really long cooldown period after itachi used it once.
So what do think would’ve happened if shisui before he died “hey itach danzo just basically killed me so forget about saving the village my final wish is for you to kill that guy.” How would the story change then would it for better or worse?
