As a former gymnast for 12 years, I've had my fair share of breaks, including hairline fractures, including 2 broken vertebrae. Orthos dont give you a choice between a splint and a cast. They tell you which they're giving you. And they wouldn't cast an arm for only 2 weeks, its usually a minimum of 4.

    • @ambermoon1401
      @ambermoon1401 Год назад +6

Actually they have done that for my sister in law. They weren't sure if it was broken on sister n law and told her "well we can cast it for a few weeks or give u a splint." she chose cast because she wanted sympathy. They'll do that for people who are crying in pain and claiming they think it's broke , just in case so they don't get sued or to shut them up (I think that was the case with sis I'm law)

It feels to me like they were trying to placate a child that kept complaining when nothing was wrong, with mom encouraging it all just to make dad look bad. If my kids tell me their arm hurts I don’t immediately take them to the hospital. Tell me how it feels in a day lol.

If radial head fracture most common fracture both splint and caste are considered equivalent, the Ortho office gets paid more to cast, I’m a pediatrician and the newer decs are braces when able due to care issues. Now 2 weeks is pretty odd unless sprain.

I think the tears are genuine. I'd be tearing up too. When I get emotional like that, the fact that I'm starting to get choked up and my fear of being looked down on for being a grown man who cries *make it worse* and can make it impossible to stop even when the emotional charge isn't that powerful.
This idea that it's "unnatural" for men to cry needs to go away.

Thank you for being brave enough to stand up to this. I have a 13 year old son who I'm trying to raise to know that it's ok to show other emotions besides anger, but I have a husband who can't stand the sight of a man crying...like Mike. The fact of the matter is that we all have a vast array of emotions and the idea that it's ok to show some but not others is ridiculous. And if crying over the possibility of losing one's children isn't worthy of crying over to Mike, then he's just been raised wrong. Period. If one loves their children they'll do anything for them, including cry in the face of losing access to them.

@@vanessamw1140 My father was a fantastic dad in all regards. But I only ever saw him cry once. It broke my heart to see it -- but mainly because what made it painful was how hard he was trying NOT to cry.
It was at his father's funeral. And by cry, I mean, in rapid succession, a cough, followed by a snort followed by him getting up and leaving the room. Out of respect for his dignity, I didn't follow, but that hurt me then and now 35 years later hurts me just as much to think about.
I love Mike, but we're miles apart on this. Hopefully your son will at least have the option not to choke it all back and die a little in the process. My hat's off to you for that.

Everytime he starts crying she starts smiling. She looked too pleased when he was tearing up about her "talking it to the extreme." I think she has tortured him mentally and emotionally and is determed to make his worst fears - not seeing his kids - come true.
He only cries about not getting to see his kids and he sucks it up - or tries to for everythibg else as quick as he can. I believe he loves them more than anyone else and has been trying to keep all this in as much as possible but seeing he smirk at him makes it hard.
He does not come off as a narcissist but just totally in love with his babies and very protective of the very little time he gets with them.
She did not offer make-up tine for funeral. She took him back to family court with this very hearing. I saw that first on Biggin's and then this one.
He seemed angry and hurt in the 2nd video so I felt unsure.
I totally believe him now after seeing this.
There may have been dv but this lady is super manipulative and a feeks like very skilled liar. But she is too pleased - not scared, or sad or tired or bored or hurt or angry but pleased that he is so upset.
Idk if you can get both clips to the one of the body language youtubers or not and see what they say.
If he does not gave a genuine anxiety disorder he is a way better actor at a panic attack than anyobe else I gave seen. He was flushing and undid some buttons, had pain in his chest before he even did that from the way he was movibg his arms. His emotions seemed real genuine. Panic attacks happen to dudes too...even if they were not in the military.

The mom looked like she was ready for the investigation. He started to cry a whole lot more...grabbed his chest and said he needed air. That (at least to me) seemed like he was worried about really being dug into. Also when he was talking about the order of protection from Georgia (the one where he said she made everything up) toward the end he said "I'll never do that again, I have 10 years in jail hanging over me and i took the class the judge ordered" as if he had done something in the past and he wouldn't make that mistake again. He said it not long before the judge brought in the GAL.

Hey Mike, this is not hate in your comments, just giving a perspective from been through it.
I would have absolutely agreed with you 3 years ago. I both have fathomed a grown man, a father, being the victim, getting that emotional. That was me before having my children abducted from me.
So I do understand how Akeen Holtz saying he's a victim and crying comes across losing credibility to anyone not put through having their life and joy taken away from them, however, once you hear stories from real dads in courses like "Managing Anger", "Respectful Man", and joining Mates Groups, your perspective completely changes.
My 3 year old and 3 month old were abducted from me. I did not get to see them for 2 weeks before an expensive lawyer and emergency hearing and that pretty well destroyed me. In courses and groups with only men in them, including prison officers, other super tough types, there are men who can't afford lawyers and have not seen their kids for 2 years!!!
Many of us are victims of spousal abuse. The law defaults 100% to the mother. I was the clucky one and we agreed I would be the stay at home dad. In her court documents she kept contradicting herself, proving every claim was false in other sections of her own affidavits.
But it doesn't matter what the mother is a proven pathological liar, they get full custody by default and the father has to fight tooth and nail for every single minute of visitation rights.
Victoria Crawford is cool and calm because that's what pathological liars are like. They can and do say anything against you without thought or regard for the truth and it always has some semblance of truth, just massively distorted.
Eg: she references a photo being deleted but makes up a complete lie around that.
Eg: she references her daughter flinching at the dad going to brush her hair and makes up a complete lie around that.
    Etc etc etc etc etc.
    That's what my ex did.
So then like Akeen, we're not playing the victim, we are put in the massively difficult situation where to tell the truth, we don't just say none of that happened, we acknowledge the parts that are true but explain the situation honestly. Defending against a pathological liar, if you're giving them the benefit of doubt first, tends to make us sound like we're telling a story, is making excuses, us trying to explain away injuries.
My ex had a friend studied in psychology and knowing exactly what to claim to get everything she wanted. She did not care that it was going to cost 100% of the kids' inheritance just so she could get all the control and keep the kids away from me. The reason? Because when the 3 month old would cry, she could not soothe her. She would always reach for daddy, and stop crying with me. I'm the one who would feed her and change her and put her to bed. That upset the now-ex and she refused to listen to her counsellor and seek help for anxiety and post partum depression but her friend convinced her she could make our baby bond with her if she cut me out by Stockholm Syndrome and get all my money.
Nearly 3 years on and the more 5 year old and 3 year old still have just visitations with me, 6 days and 3 nights a fortnight but they still cry and try to run away from their mother when they're forced to return, and every time I pick them up they still run flat out into my arms jumping up for a huge hug.
No matter the amount of control she forces, the hundreds of thousands of dollars the gold digger took from me, she can not force them to love her or buy their love.
She's got a new car and living in a large place and buys them things all with my money while I'm left in a small apartment.
This last week as a one off they had an opportunity to be with me or their mother during her scheduled time. We wanted to try having one of them sleep with me and one at hers alternating for a few days.
As soon as the one staying at her place found out the other was getting to stay at mine, they were inconsolable, despite being explained they were going to swap next night, until she gave in and let them both stay with me, such that I had them on three of her nights consecutive to my two, and still the only way to get them to go back willingly to their mother's was by telling them she's taking them to a cousin's birthday party.
The eldest started school in February. She controls everything.
She made DV accusations and went and stayed in a women's shelter for months to use against me but my lawyer subpoenaed her psychologist's notes and it was proven she went against her psychologist's advice and did that to set it up to get default custody so I'd have to battle for every minute to see my kids.
There are so many men who assault women including their babies mothers, women need protection and help.
But, until I was in this situation, you could never imagine just how many women rort the system. There are obvious ones and there are pathological narcissistic liars and even when that's proven, it doesn't give the father primary or even equal custody, not even close!!!!!

The point about my kids wanting to be with me more and hating going back to their mother's is, I bet Akeen and Victoria's daughter is the same, and 90% of other situations where the mother by default gets 90% custody and 100% nights. If but for the fact I worked hard for decades and married in my 40s before having kids to afford lawyers, my kids wouldn't be getting time with their dad like all these other dads I met in courses.
My now ex so much younger than me had no money of her own but hired barristers against me borrowing against my money that she expected to win purely on the basis that she's the biological mother.
Its such a shame that I can not repeat what an ex-family judge in a $10,000 mediation day said to our solicitors about what he thought of her attitude towards our children.

Is it possible that the shelter where Miss "feeds the homeless" stays requires its residents to have TPOs?
Sounds like they had a fairly normal break-up. Nothing a good phone block wouldn't fix.
But, if she claimed abuse to the shelter I could see the need for them to seek a legal remedy to keep him from coming around.

The supposed injury and the description of the cause do not jive. At least, the descriptions of them are not compatible. If he caused a fracture by holding the wrist and twisting, a resulting fracture would be longitudinal, possibly a green stick fracture if enough force was applied. Even if a longitudinal fracture didn’t show on x-ray, there would be no doubt of the severity of the injury due to pain and any physical exam.
Further, if there were a likely fracture, the girl would have immediately been referred to orthopedics-it would not have taken a second visit.
Also, anybody notice there was no mention of pain management? 👀
When the orthopedic offered a cast or splint for two weeks (if my memory is correct that she said “two weeks), that was very likely an attempt to placate a very, very insistent parent. Outside of a very few cases, like a radial head fracture that barely even shows on x-ray, a cast would probably be worn 6-8 weeks. The floor would be 4 weeks, maybe.
If she had a compartment injury or reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome, I might be able to believe that, but that seems less likely than a troubled, histrionic, lying mother.
That’s just the way I see it, tho.

So Mike has voiced his opinion that a man getting emotional "destroys credibility" on several occasions. Mike has also stated that a man disclosing that they were emotionally traumatized or even had to get counseling for emtotional distress being "nonsensical" I'm not really sure what or where you get off. I have gotten pretty emotional when dealing with family court and even civil issues, because to the person going through them these can be taxing and emotional shit. I've also had to get counseling for PTSD due to combat in Iraq being more honest and available emotionally is pretty damn important for one's health in the long term and the idea that this somehow robs one of legitimacy in juris prudence is absurd. Thank God I wouldn't want someone like you representing me...

  • @Disarray91

I'm gonna disagree with Mike on the man showing his emotion. He isn't wanting to show his emotion, it's spilling out due to the stress and fear of losing his kids, AGAIN, because of the harpy who is obviously lying about him. Not saying he's innocent, but his emotion is genuine and not for show.

Because the system is incredibly good at fucking over fathers in every possible way imaginable at every opportunity, to the point where a whole lot of people see 1 full day of custody per week as a MASSIVE victory worth celebrating. Its fucking disgusting and infuriating and the number of people who are okay with it is abhorrent.
This is one of the few issues where I will absolutely never see Mike's views as correct.
