This is the best teaching video I have watched. No unnecessary talking, straight to work, step by clear step of the process with a visual example of the steps taken. Wow so doable. Thank you.
Fantastic video. You should give tutorials on how to do RUclips videos. You didn't talk too much you got right to the point and you were very clear.
Chocobutta47 haha thank you so much xoxo
I agree, Chocobutta47. #NoYaddaYaddaYadda LOL
I agree with the others who say that you get straight to the point.
Some youtubers take forever and a day to explain where, why, when, and how about each item they're working with. Along with talking about their child in the next room and their dog whose barking outside! Too much small talk has made me change many channels... Thanks for being precise, quick and simple!
Thank you so much 💕
Triple Thick will not withstand heat. I use clear engine enamel spray by Rustoleum. It is good up to 500 degrees. You won’t have the textured effect, but you have to have it withstand heat.
Thanks for the tip 😊
who needs 500 degree heat protection for their coasters@
Thank you for your information. It was the answer and solution to my question regarding hot beverages on the coasters. Would love to see what the final product looks like with engine enamel spray compared to this video.
@@Marie.b most epoxies and clear coats are only good to just over 100F. Hot coffee cups leaves marks and the coaster sticks to cup when you pick it up.
I found someone doing a review and the engine varnish was a fail(certain brand anyway) One for cars worked the best. Here's the link to the short video review. acrylicpouring.com/best-heat-resistant-sealant-for-tiles-and-coasters/
Very cute. I like the idea of adding the glitter. Thanks for sharing your DIY.
I Love them. I made mine with family photos.
Great video, no messing, about, straight to the point and precise.. Other Utube presenters could learn a thing or two from this wonderful person
I've been feeling the creative juices roaming around in my soul... this would be a great way to actually start DOING something! Thank you so much for sharing!
Vera Johnson : loved your reply. You sounded like me. I purchase craft bits and pieces but never get to it and complete anything! Drive myself nuts 😂
Thank you for a nice, simple tutorial. Great job! ❤️
Very Nice! I have these same napkins.
I'm gonna to upgrade my table coasters with these, they should look Lovely on the table next to a plant whose pot I Decoupage with these napkins.
Thanks for sharing
Lataundra Ardoin thanks for watching 😀
Ok.
That looks easy enough.
Ok. Very pretty.
U make great things that in stores will cost a lot! Thank u for the great things to make and save money at the same time
Great video!! Informative and time effective! (And you even pronounced Mod Podge correctly!!!) Yay!!
Beautiful coasters. I am going to give this a try. Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Before you put the napkin on the tile you didn't take the backing off if it was a two ply napkin? Did you use the entire napkin unfolded? Great idea.
I was going to ask will that be ok to sit cups with hot liquid on them..will that triple thick hold up...those are so pretty I want to make these just want to make sure about the top coat especially for gift giving..the matching napkins with the coasters great idea
Can not thank you enough for sharing this. Got it almost perfect in the first attempt itself. Tried another technique first but failed. Lots of love ❤️😀😇
Those are beautiful and simple to make. Love your idea will be trying. One question what color glitter is that?
This is such a cute project, definitely gonna try to make these! Thanks so much for sharing!
amrb521 thanks for watching 😄😄😄
Do you peel the backing of the napkin? Seems like other people do when mod podging. What's the difference? Thank you and beautiful work!!!
Love your videos! Can you tell me where you got the plastic bags to put the napkins in? I've looked all over but cannot find any.. Thanks!
Love anything Napkins...will try soon thank you!
kathleen strode have fun and thanks for watching
These are great. Where did you get the tiles? I read at the end that it’s for decorative purposes? The coasters? Can one use it for glasses? Also where did you find the triple thick?
Peel off white backing paper off before gluing down. Only top tissue printed part should be used .
I loved your video and your way is so much easier to do. Can these Coasters be used for both Cold and Hot Beverages?
yes great video, she explains everything can't wait to get started
Helped me a lot, very easy to follow instructions. Thank you
You don’t peel off only one ply of the napkin before you place it on the tile?
Are you separating the napkins and using the top one or all of them ?
I separate and use only the top.....
Hello Wandy, nice coasters! It didn't look like you removed the extra ply, do you need to?
Question: what type of tiles do I get? Are they cement tiles? Are they painted with whit acrylic before adding the mod podge?
These are just a simple bathroom tile, 4x4. You can buy a whole box for about $10.00 for 100.
Do you need a sealent after the triple thick so you can use them outside or put ypur glass on them with out sticking
Very nice, great idea for gift giving. Thanks for sharing
Those are gorgeous! Must make!
Thank you for a great video. Do you separate your napkins or leave them like they come? Thank you
Nikki Schwartz thank you.. depends on the napkin.. some it's kinda stuck together so I leave it..
Great video, where do you buy the triple x, can you use a clear sealer spray....?..
I was wondering the same thing..what can you use to seal from heat and cold
Great demonstration and gift idea. Thank you. 😍
Do you ever put feet or anything that will allow the coasters to sit up off of the table?
No I havent but that would look super cuteeee
I will definitely be making some of these. Thx for sharing
I couldn't find triple thick in any of my local stores. Do you think the mod podge acrylic sealer spray would work just as good?
Savannah Terry you can use just the mod podge 😉
Triple thick would withstand hot mugs ?
That is sooooo weird.... I bought the SAME Napkins (butterfly) today!!!! .... Here in New Mexico... "Small World" ... Love your video... ;)
Judi Christopher Oh wow 😃 they are very pretty... thanks for watching
This looks so easy. Do you have any problem with them getting messed up after a drink sits on them too long?
Very pretty and you make it look so easy!
Great idea are they heat prove and can they be washed?
Awesome video! Straight to the point!
WOW cool idea! Looks great
I love this video I watch it over and over thanks 👍
Love this idea!!!!
No way you got those napkins at the dollar tree 😂. Your dollar tree must be very nice!! Mine has some sorry looking things here in the San Francisco Bay Area 😂😂
Love this Wanda! About how long does it take for the Mod Podge and Triple Thick to dry?
Kathie Bendinelli thanks kathie.. bottle says 1 to 2 hours but I'm impatient lol.. I usually touch the napkin and if it feels dry I do the next coat 😄
you created a very easy to follow video. Thanks!
Janet Sammons I
These are really pretty and seem easy to alter tfs Jax xx
Nice im want to try it.. Where did you get the triple thick from an also where did you order the back from..
3 ply serviettes straight on???
We separate the layers and only put top one on.
Hi. I love it!!!! I will make that. Thanks!
So pretty
Don’t you have to remove the back layers from the napkins? Or did I miss that step
Love this project. How many napkins did you include with the bundle? I'd like to give this a try.
This is an old video ... I think I did 4 🤪
@@WandysSweets Thank you. It's a great project.
Wandy I love this project. I have a question. I have heard of Triple Thick but never used it. But I wanted to ask you what would be better to use the triple thick or I think Mod Podge has a water resistant one that is safe for water and its shiny. yours came out beautiful.
Thank you ... yeah you dont really need triple thick people use mod podge all the time 😉
@@WandysSweets thanks
@@maggiesegura8753 You might try dishwasher safe mod podge, a bit more water proof - but none is heat proof for hot coffee or tea made this way - be careful.
Did you use the whole napkin or did you peel the layers off??
This napkin was thick and pretty stuck together so I did not peel it off
Can you use wrapping paper for the tile coasters?
dear wandy thus this is great work...BUT HAVE A QUESTION
WHAT is the heat resistant varnish? ? I don't want the cup to stick due to high temperature of liquid inside the mug or cup????
followyourdreams /artistic channel hiiii.. sorry just saw your message... I haven't tried it with anything hot
I love what did and this is what I am looking for thank you 😊
Is the sanding block one of those things you use to buff your nails?
Locarella yes 😄
So you just use the complete 2 ply napkin, huh? I'd heard that you needed to separate the layers and work with the printed layer only. Did this for my first try and it was all wrinkly. Going to try your process. Thanks for the great vid!
Have fun 🥰 these napkins were really thick so I didnt have to separate 🤪
Great video--thanks so much! I was doing alcohol ink coasters (also fun) but happened upon a bunch of napkins at Dollar Tree yesterday. Can't wait to make these! Including the matching napkins for a gift is a great idea. May I ask where you got the cellophane bags for the extra napkins?
Cathy Brown thank you so much... I think I got those bags from a online site called clear bags.. thanks for watching 😄
Did you separate the backing off the napkin before you placed it on the tile?
Triple Thick did not pass the hot cup test for me. How does it work for you? Do you use any other sealant with it?
Adding glitter is just an extra expense! You can purchase Mod Podge with glitter already in it! It cost me $4.00 for an 8 oz bottle and it makes my projects Gorgeous!!
Shelley Londry Glitter Modge Podge is a nice idea. I personally prefer to control the amount of glitter that I apply.
Karen Daniels as do I!
I like to control the colour of the glitter but the glittery mod podge is cool
can you spray an sealer on top of the triple thick to make it more heat resitent to the coasters? i want to try this for a quick christmas gift for someone who drinks coffee and cold drinks
I'm not sure I didnt spray mine since they were more for decorating purposes...
@@WandysSweets okay thank you for your reply. i really love your video. so awesome! i think i will find a spray sealent for my coaster. i did get the triple thick to use. i will use that for the one for decorating
Do you separate the layers of napkins of the complete napkins. Beautiful napkins.
Ray Harris thank you... I didnt.. depends on the napkins some are pretty strong and kinda stuck to each other...
Who puts out the Triple Thick, and where do you get it.
I just watched this video and I have 1 question for you. How do these hold up with moisture from the glass? I know I tried making these a few years ago and the top finish came off when they got moisture on them :(
Moon Raven I gave these as gifts haven't had any complaints yet 😜
You don’t remove one ply from your napkin before gluing it down on the tile?
Depends on your napkin
Those are awesome! I have one question - did you modpodge the whole napkin (all layers) onto the tile, or did you cut one square layer of the napkin? What a great gift!
Gail Holcomb my napkin was pretty stuck so I didn't peel off the layers but you can 😄
Can this be used for hot and cold drinks?
Never mind Wanda. I found your answers. Sorry. Thank you. Keep crafting & sharing 😊😊😊😊❤❤
Can I spray clear acrylic sealer over the mod podge when finished doing my coasters.
What did you put on top the very last thing? Didn't hear you say the name and can't read it. Great idea!!
I have tried exactly your method with different thicknesses of table napkins and when I lay them onto the Mod Podge'd tile, it is never smooth. NEVER...always little bumps or ridges under the napkin. Is that why you add the glitter...to cover up the irregularities?
like your video . and you hv explain very neat what the after second coat you sprinkle and after that not understood pls explain. also request u to pls material detail in discription thank u
Is the tripple thick heat resistant?
Love your video thank you xx🤗🤗
How long until the whole thing dries before I can add the triple thick? Is it just a few minutes??
Did you separate the napkin? I think those or either 2or 3 ply. I didn't see you separate it.
Nice! Do you leave the tissues in theback when you start mod poging?
Eileen Moore depends on the tissue... some I take off some I leave 😀
Wandy's Sweets for this specific butterfly napkin did you leave the layer or left it with the single layer instead of doubled layered? Love your video by the way!!!!!
I lovvve this video where do you get napkins ina package or did you just put them in a bag
Donna Berrios tfw.. I got the napkins from Tuesday morning
The napkins are usually 3 layers. Overtime, do the napkins start to peel away?
Every RUclipsr who does decoupage coasters removes one ply to place on the coaster. To prevent wrinkles, place Saran Wrap (cling film) on top of the napkin and smooth out before peeling the cling film off. Then let dry.
Did you separate the napkins to one ply?
No these were a one thick ply
thank you for the great video, can you tell me what kind of napkin? where i can get it? ^^
SisuV thank you so much.. I get my napkins from dollar tree or Tuesday morning...
Where do you get those plastic bags for the napkins?
Where do you get these awesome tiles? ;)
Amazon has great tiles.
Can you use resin instead of Moshe podge?
I love this, what website did you order the backing from?
Yes, would love to know.
Although I ❤❤ that you don't waste any time talking (lol) you get straight to the point & explain it enough so that anyone can understand. I think you should either add the links to the places you buy your materials at or SAY where you bought them at. I also would like to know what website you use to order the backing of the coasters & WHAT are they called ? I also would like to know what type of plastic did you use to wrap them in ? I think it's a GREAT gift idea & would like to try it. PLEASE. Respond quickly. I would like to get started. Thank you for sharing. God bless you
what is the sealing coat...triple thick....is there an alternative
Wow love it thanks for an awesome video!!!❤️
Do you separate the napkins or do you put all 2-3 plys on the tile?
Jody Shafer-Mezeske it depends on the napkin... you can do it either way some napkins come apart easy so I take them apart some don't so I leave it
Beautiful! TFS💕💕💕
Hi. Am international. What exactly is triple thick. Is it like a varnish. Please
Can you use these with hot drinks?
