Nice video, but if I can make a recommendation: add time stamps or chapters or whatever RUclips calls them. That way those of us trying to get Platinum ourselves can jump to the specific sections giving us trouble. 😎
Hey. I like that suggestion. I actually wanted to do it a few videos back but didn't know how to do them. I'll have to look online and see if I can implement them into my videos going forward.
The fact that you had to look up and use a specific build for certain things shows that it deserves 8/10, how much harder would it have been for you if you didn’t have access to the builds others had already tested over and over to see what one was best for witch mission.
Though I agree to a certain extent it's still possible to make it easier with things that are in the game. Some games are an 8/10 but have no way of making them easier, so you simply have to get good. Regardless of that, I only found a few missions to actually be hard, while most were pretty easy for me personally. But that's the thing, difficulty is different for everyone.
Well I'm 2 trophies off the Plat for Thymesia (You done this not long back if i'm not mistaken)... currently breaking barrels as I type this 😴 How about yourself?
@@bombchop oh yea haha. The final trophy... GL bro. Looking forward to seeing the video. Not sure yet, next one will probably be Far Cry 5 or The Crew Motorfest 🏆
Ooof never a fan of trophies where you have to play the game from start to finish over and over again. It usually kills the game experience for me. Never played one of these games, but it was fun watching you fight your way trough this! Congrats on the plat✌🏾🦖
That's usually the case for me as well, but this game actually changed up a decent amount from playthrough to playthrough. Yeah it was a new experience for me as well and thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it. 🏆
About a chapter's worth of missions get added throughout each extra playthrough and the game allows for a massive amount of customization to your mech so even when replaying the game it can be a really fresh experience.
The whole difficulty thing with this game depends on builds more then on anything else. You saw it during your first playthrough: even with so little footage I can say that you've just bruteforced all the bosses with that "guided" gatling-songbirds build of yours. Simple deleting enemy's health bar quicker then enemy deletes yours. I have some broken builds of mine too, so yeah, I understand how one or two builds made universal can rush through whole game like red-hot knife through a piece of butter😁 And I think that guides have gigantic influence on this game. They remove all the hard part from the game since it's not about famous "git gud", it's about simply knowing what to do. And when you are told what to do, you have all the information about how to beat any enemy with ease. So I think that game difficulty is so subjective that no one can estimate it properly...
Yeah builds are absolutely a huge factor on difficulty. I actually switched up my load out a lot. Just always returned to that build. For playthrough 2 though I mostly used the shotguns with the crab legs, then playthrough 3 i used a different shotgun with a super agile build. 🏆
@@MrLeeNingVs I have 3 builds for every situation: speedy 3 shotguns + coral blade for fast S-ranks and big bosses; heavy stuff with laser lance, multy-energy rifle, shoulder laser shotgun and stun needle for any AC vs AC battle or if I need very high burst damage; and flying tetrapod laser/plasma/coral arsenal for some wierd stuff. But almost each and every of my builds contained at least 1 melee weapon. Because I play melee in every game)
@@Sargatas Haha nice. Yeah, I saved like 4-5 builds for different situations. Even though certain builds can trivialise some missions, I love that multiple different builds are good and are hot swappable. I wish I used those Lazer shotguns earlier. I used them for that final S-Rank anything else. They were a godsend for those missions. Same with the Flame thrower for the second to last S-Rank. I really hope they release DLC in the future. But, Fromsoft are super hit and miss with releasing post launch content. 🏆
@@MrLeeNingVs unless you're doing S-rank) But I think that this game has veeeeeery generous conditions for most S-ranks. There are some exceptions like redguns elimination, that mission with invisible mechs and ambush the vespers. Boss battles are the easiest, because there is only one condition - don't die. Some missions has their own. Like when you escort a helicopter it must not be damaged more then 85% of it's HP. Or some defense missions like tower defense (Xylem tower shield must not be destroyed) or rocket "fireworks" (all 3 rockets must remain). Your hated coral transporter destroying misson needs 0 helicopters left. And in fact this is very easy mission for some light stuff with reverse joint. Actually this is very good to have different condition for certain S-rank because this is another mini-game for me.
Agreed. S ranks really do rank easy as a 1 all the way up to a 8-9. And yep, that transport mission is a perfect example of how the wrong build can make it a 10/10 difficulty to a 2/10 with the right build 🏆
I'm calling BS on him beating Ayre on the first try. Also hilarious how the "worst mission" that is "lame" and "crap" is the one mission he actually struggled with.
He literally googled the meta PVE build for just face rolling your way through most enemies. Of course it was easy for him, but not nearly as fun for him. He only played half the game, because the other half is learning to make your own builds and making them look cool. I have the same build as him but got bored of it and beat the entire game with a melee heavy build, wayyyyy more fun and significantly cooler looking when you are fighting the boss face to face.
Solid GOTY. I'm yet to properly dive into Lies of P. I tried the demo back when that came out and loved it. So I'm excited to get into the full game in the future 🏆
There are some people who feel that playing the game over and over for a trophy ruins the experience. Completely understandable, for me it depends on the game. I love fromsoftware games but most of their platinum's in my opinion really suck. In my experience the best platinum they did was Elden Ring. My favorite fromsoft game is Dark Souls 3 but the platinum is terrible, and I feel especially bad for those who went for the trophy long after the game released. Elden Ring's platinum has you play pretty much all the content in the game, thankfully not PvP because there are people who don't like it. But it was fun to do, I'm not sure how but ER's plat just feels right. On the other hand I love AC games. Played all of them since Ps1 but this was the first time I ever went for a plat in an AC game. It wasn't worth it. I wish I didn't do it. I really do. I'm usually pretty good at managing my emotions but the Perfect Mercenary trophy brought anger out of me that I have never exuded because of a video game, even a fromsoft game. I can control my anger and remain mature about it but for those who can't I suggest not attempting this. It is enough to make someone hate the game. If you want love this game, If having bad feelings about a game you love bothers you, you shouldn't do this. Its not worth it. Literally every other trophy is fine, you interact with all the required content in the game and experience its amazing story, honestly I encourage getting them. Imo the game is intended to be played 3 times and aquire all 3 endings. But The Perfect Mercenary trophy is where I draw the line. If you're dead set on getting the plat more power to you. But there are other games with platinums that are much more fun to get. Infamous Second Son, Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal, Persona 5 Royal, just to name a few. Sorry for the long comment but I genuinely felt that I needed to say this, but to any who cared enough to read this far, thanks.
Thanks for the comment mate. I agree, most of the time having to replay games for trophies rarely actually adds anything to the experience and I normally just want it over and done with. Some games however, this game included. Add reasons to finish them more than once. Most trophies in this were pretty easy but I have to agree that, S-ranking some missions were a right pain in the arse! For me personally, my two favourites to Platinum were Elden Ring and Sekiro, with Bloodborne being my fav game from them. Certainly not my favourite platinum trophy list though. 🏆
@@MrLeeNingVs for sure, the way this game does playthroughs and endings is amazing. The first 3 playthroughs are experiencing the game and the way it differs in playthroughs, anything after should done of love for the game, sweating S ranks isn't the way to do it, missions have different requirements for the S and can go from being challenging/fair to just being annoying. But I do think in terms of multiple playthroughs this game is up there with Ds2. Ds2 might not be as good as the others but it has damn good NG+ and I feel the same about this game. Its enjoyable and there is a reason to play it multiple times. I wish Elden Ring and the other Dark Souls games where able to do it how AC6 did.
Agreed. I really like how this game handled NG+ you actually felt stronger and that your mech had advanced from the first playthrough. Honestly, not sure if I said it in the video but my main complaint was some of the boss mech just moved way too fast, which imo made them a dodge and spam attacks fest 🏆
