- Don't underestimate the value of organizational tools to help you keep your preps organized. Jonathan found these fun items and was thrilled with the variety of uses he found for each of them. Our goal is to live within a budget and stay out of debt. You can find inexpensive alternatives that can help you get organized. Check out your local thrift shops.
We purchased these at Costco. They were much less expensive at Costco than on Amazon but here are the links just in case.

I work as a nurse. I can see that being a first aid/ medical station. Have your prescriptions in one box. Bandages in a second box. Sharp implements like scissors scalpels Etc in the third and other implements such as heat packs and miscellaneous things in the 4th box.
I can not tell if those are waterproof. But I can see them holding copies of important documents in the basement or cellar even if you need to put them in vac bags first.
Other papers like area maps or manuals.
Endless possibilities.
Keep kids meds separate from adult meds. You don’t want to accidentally mix em up in an emergency.
100%
Retired RN. I wish I saved up on outdated saline bags and tubings to use as a drip irrigation or used 30-60ml syringes & #18 needles that wasn't used on humans. I can go to Animal feed stores to get . I also have a great first aide section.
I use the ammo boxes as blackout boxes, one with batteries, one with matches, lighters and candles and one with headlamps and flashlights
You two are a really lovely couple, it is a pleasure to watch you ❤
I sew. For storage of sewing supplies, which we are all going to need if something happens (either for making or repairing garments, tents, blankets, etc., or for extreme emergency sutures), I use a fishing tackle box. Lots of compartments, and they lift up and fold out so you can see everything. Also, tackle boxes are rectangular so they store easily alongside other items and they come in all kinds of sizes. They’re also good for first aid kits because you can see what you have with all the different trays.
I bought an $8 plastic tackle box on sale at Walmart to use as a first aid kit; I love it!
The collapsible boxes I use for ordering in the back of my car when hau,ing things that you don't want getting crushed or mixed up -- grandkids presents, groceries, picnic supplies, etc. Good for temporary hauling stuff around the house (cans, blankets, garden supplies) while you find a place for it to live more permanently.
Those plastic ammo boxes with the tray are cool. So cool that I bought one with no idea how I’d use it!
Those little ammo boxes would make excellent med kits. Label each one with specs. I use the bigger plastic ones with removable trays as same for med supplies when in the bush.
Waterproof and easy to haul.
Those little ones are neat!
The Green bins are ammo cans. You can store different caliber in different canisters. They hold very heavy weight!
I also store seeds in them.
I use a lot of clear bins so I can see what's in them and I like to keep a sharpie and labels near each storage place in my house, so when I take something out or put something new in, I can mark it on the bin. The labels on the bin are in alphabetical order to keep track.
The smaller bins are definitely ammo containers. They can also be used whenever you have small items that you want to store in a tightly sealed containers that will keep out moisture. As you said, great for storing seeds or valuable documents.
😮The ammo boxes are good for lots of little things that need to be kept together --- over flow sewing supplies, batteries, camping hygiene items, first aid, sharp tools.
Oh Boy, Oh Boy!!….. Endless possibilities!! Garage, gardening supplies, basement clutter ideas!!😂
I have a lot of small electronics - cables, adapters, 12v stuff, 110v stuff, solar components, hand crank radios, thumdrives, rechargable everythings, etc. It would be awesome to organize all of that. The one organization system that has endured the test of time uses 1-gal or 2-gal ziplock freezer bags. They are cheap, reasonably sturdy, clear, and can be re-organized when necessary. Freezer bags go into labeled totes according to their category. Whatever I do, I add an inventory list! Excel is every prepper's friend.
I too use ziplocks a lot. I label them and the boxes they go into. I don’t use excel (or a computer), I use paper and pencil for inventories and have two copies. One for the master book and one for in the box so I know at a glance what’s in there.
Also want to say that printed excel or other papers, as well as ink from a pen, will run when wet. Pencil does not.
For the tan boxes in the green tray, my first thought was a large first aid kit, organized by type. My second thought was camping equipment, all of the smaller items that need to be containerized.
The tan boxes I could see storing some of my food that comes in little pouches, such as gravy mixes, onion soup packets, or even some of the Augason Farms packets. Also spices could store in them.
Love that collapsible tote! Seeds also came first to mind for that other organizer.
As for the crate, I can see it holding a backpack size suitcase. Each one has a laminated paper with assignments if you will for needs in an emergency to gather quickly . If you are dealing with small children then they know what they need to gather and put in the box. I think this would help free up adult time in a crisis in a crisis.
Hi thank you for these handy container ideas! The pop-up crate, as I said, would be very handy during an emergency evacuation to pop up and go around the house and grab all the photos and pictures off the wall. In an emergency those can be forgotten! God bless you both! 😊🐕🦺🙏✝️💕
Thank you for being part of the solution!!
We use a couple of the flip out bins when we load the trailer with food. I have a list of food I will need for the trip... pantry, fridge, dry & freezer. As I load it, others carry it out and load into cupboards or fridge/freezer, bring it back in and I fill more and cross off my list. We do the opposite when we come home. Grab the bins and pull all the food out and take it back inside... if there is any leftover.
My hubby and I are drowning in our preps. We have 3 of everything but can’t find 1. Another getting to the heart of issues. Great video! Thank you!
I have collapsible bins that have slotted sides similar to a milk crate and work great for camping organization and taking supplies to charitable events during setup. The bins you have with the red rim are rated at a maximum weight capacity of 66 pounds. The green organizer is ammo cans, which also work well for an emergency car kit (first aide in 1, tools, emergency triangles/glow sticks/hi-vis vest, etc.), using it for seed storage is also a great idea. My favorite find has been a water tight storage box from Home Depot for my camping kitchen, 5 gallon buckets with gamma sealed lids, and an emergency binder (which I filled with the recommendations from your book!) Hope this helped.
Batteries, cords, external hard drives would work great in the 4 boxes
I can tell Jonathan is loving these crates. 🥰
Great Finds - I purchased the Store-All Crate for ammo, but returned due to poor design, they angle inward at the bottom limiting the amount of ammo that can be stored. For the price Costco is selling them for, there are better options. But, know thinking I should have kept them to store prepping items (First- Aid items, etc).
Thanks to one of hour videos…i found easy-to-assemble metal baskets that hang over doors on Amazon…
I bought and assembled 6 for the inside of closet doors…
This added at least 50 linear feet of can or spice storage…wow!
Thank the Kansas woman for mentioning it during a video!
Wiw!
Okay. Fine! I succumbed and went back to Costco bought 3 collapsible crates and one he storage boxes. Was just glad my wife agreed to the purchase. Thanks
I would use them for seasoning packets . They look like a perfect size
I used 2 of these to grow potatoes in last year.
I have a couple of those collapsing crates, one I keep in my truck for Costco trips.
Great finds. Thank you Jonathan and Kylene. Happy trails!
The pack of 4 small plastic bins from Costco for $9.99 are my go to storage. I can’t lift much and they stack wonderfully, out of season clothes, gardening supplies, etc etc. they are often on sale for $7.99 for 4. I currently have 4 packed with evacuation food, in a closet by my back door, clearly labeled with contents and about 11 pounds each. Something I can handle at 72.
I'd be putting meds in there. Dark and cool, easy to label and stack.
MTM Case-Gard ammo crates are larger than the four you showed in the tray. They weigh little, come in several sizes, are designed to take heavy loads, seal tightly and stack securely. A medium-sized one sits on top of a large one (it’s just taller than the medium) and is just the right height to sit in my pickup bed under the cover, without wasting space.
One thing I find useful for small objects is hanging bag organizers. They are clear plastic bags with zip lock type closures. They measure about 10 x 12 inches and have a hanging hook for a regular closet rod. I use them for cables and chargers and miscellaneous electronics. They are clear so you can see everything at a glance. I bet they would work nicely for first aid supplies too.
the ammo cans are MTM knockoffs: fire stuff in one, water stuff, one with freezed dried food pouches, shelter in the last one. All topped off with small towels, utensiles, etc where ever things fit and are compatible (ex. don't put sterno cans in the food box)
Would be helpful during an emergency evacuation such as a wildfire.
I have those 4 small tan organizers in the green tote. I store ammo! Different calibers in each box. Super handy, sturdy and versatile!
keeping mylar fd food packs in the fold up totes... the 4 pack... ammo...spices... batteries or charging cords...or small packets... like gravy, taco seasonings, ranch dressing, packets of hot cocoa in another... or if your crafty... keep sewing notions in them.... bias tape, lace, zippers, thread, patches, buttons, pins and needles, & sissors
Wow, how lucky the choco fairy stopped by. That was a good size demo. Although now I am craving chocolate.
That’s cool that it came with chocolate. Haha. Jonathon knows you so well.
I could see these collapsible crates and ammo box trays being used at my mosque for organizing our plastic tyableware, spices or other supplies we use for our community meals
small box totes could be used for small mylar bags of food, seeds, spices, bug out things like rope, small tools, fire starter things, water purification items , first aid as stephy below mentioned as well
I didn't hear you say it but but if that tray with the 4 boxes are airtight like what I have, I put jello (which lasts forever) in one, gravy mixes in the others. Then I labled them. I consider these things food "extras" needed for morale and want to make sure I always have them full. ❤️👍🇺🇲
I love those ammo can sleds. Use them all the time.
Hey those plastic folding crates would work well folded away, then put grocery bags into to keep from rolling around in the back my cargo minivan escape pod… someone told me they were at Costco, but I couldn’t find them. Maybe I look 👀 at the one in suburbia when I go to an appointment next week. I think those boxes (that had 11 bars of chocolate, hmmm) are “ammo boxes”. I got one of those in bright orange because of the rubber gasket to store a HT GMRS radio along with 6 FRS radios & battery brick/usb charging cable with lighting. We keep it in the big locked equipment bin for our neighborhood CERT team for a backup eComms.
I use mine for ammo. Those are sold at most gun stores. To head to the range or hunting you just have to grab one or maybe two.
I ❤❤❤ just looking at storage items. We are visiting where we used to live and I can’t wait to go to a bunch of stores like the Container store. I once asked to just get to visit the Container Store for my birthday😂.
Have you ever been to IKEA? They have amazing storage items, and also storage furniture! 🤩
@@customer5032 sure have but not I live nowhere near an Ikea 😢.
The foldable tote would be good to carry groceries in...havIng lots of plastic grocery bags...
You guys are so cute! I keep a couple of insta-crates in my car's trunk. If I need more space, I can easily fold them up and set them to the side. I use a large toolbox as a first aid kit. It's sturdy, easy to organize items and has a handle.
Thanks we just got 3 packs of the Ammo can storage bins
They sell the instacrate with a kid online from the same manufacturer
Laundry basket seems like a good idea.
Great containers!
So, I have to admit that I was at Costco last week and did have the Greenmade 4-pack in my cart. After getting the other things I needed (and plenty of what I didn't need) I ended up putting it back. After seeing this, I may go back Saturday and get it. Still have yet to decide what I will use it for. Fun video!
LOL! It's so hard to get out of Costco for less than $200.
The boxes are AMMO boxes. Put your ammunition in the ammo boxes. 12 gauge, .22, and assorted other ammo. Yeah.
I'd maybe store seeds, and dried produce, and meats and fruit in Mylar bags in the 4 boxes.
😂😂😂…LOL… chocolate. We use the boxes for screws extra nails small candles and batteries
Would the 4-pack of containers work for freeze dried meals for camping? Rodent safe?
The smaller containers look like ammo boxes.
The 4 boxes look like ammo boxes, one could be ammo, and the rest first aid, and other supplies to throw people off who might check to see what they are.
We bought a bunch of those when I was stationed in Germany back in the early 90's. Very popular over there.
Nice savings compared to Amazon! Thanks
Lovely crates, would painting them give UV protection?
I would put extra light bulbs in them, so they don't get broken.
Bulk spices?
Good option thanks for sharing YAH bless !
Only thing I have issues with is money to buy anything. 😂
Walmart sells similar items for much, much less money. 👍
Looks like ammo container. Is there spot to lockup the front?
Spices
Ammo boxes
Please share more info regarding this "women who prep conference" you speak of. And aren't those ammo cans?

I know nothing about trading /investment and l'm keen on getting started. What are some strategies to get started with?
Hmmm... more plastic?
That's not in my game plan.
Yes I need to organise myself, my stuff better... but I'm totally sure that process does NOT include more plastic gimmicks.
Jonathan, please consider not panning audio left And right, it’s not good for the kind of content you’re making.
Are you members of the 144,000 and expecting the next coming?
you clearly know your facts do you also know the name of Elohim what ministry do you follow? First comment I read with such facts since I myself learned of them
Didn't you know that those ammo can stackable boxes all come with at least one ammo can full of chocolate?
Better make a return trip to Costco to check out what you left there.
LOL!
