My Wholesome Lovely Day In Indore India 🇮🇳

  • I decided to leave Udaipur and I headed toward Indore. I heard it was the cleanest city in India and I was ready for a change of scenery, even though Udaipur is beautiful and easily my favorite city in India so far. But I felt it was time to get a move on. So I took a dreaded night bus from Udaipur to Indore which took around 9 hours. Those night buses are killer, I hate them. I can't sleep to save my life on those things. So, each time i get to a city I'm completely drained and exhausted. By the time I got to my hotel, I was just ready to sleep, which sucks though because the day is just getting started and I feel like I'm wasting an entire day by sleeping.
So I get to Indore and snooze for a few hours. A friend from Indore told me they were celebrating Holi again and that there were going to be celebrations all throughout the city. I wanted to capture a little bit of it but I was in no mood to party and get all colored up like last time. Also, I wanted to go eat some Mcdonald's because it sounded friggin amazing since I hadn't had any Western food in so long.
The first time I went out I wore my clothes from the last Holi just in case I got dirty. Which I figured I would. I didn't get too dirty but when I was heading back to my hotel, I got BLASTED in the face by some kids that were riding by on their scooter. I didn't mind that bad because I was heading back to my hotel anyway and I could clean up.
The second time I got out I was trying to make my way back to McDonald's because they were closed earlier. I was really hoping not to get dirty this time. I don't exactly have tons of clothes and I didn't want to wash them if they got dirty so, I tried my best not to get anything on them, but that didn't last long... Some kids threw orange powder all over me and got me covered. Yay, Holi! So I had to head back and wash those clothes and then I just decided to put on my other clothes from before even though they were still wet.
In the end, I made it to the McDonald's unscathed thanks to a funeral that was being held.
The McDonald's video will be in the next video...

I roll into Indore after an all-nighter bus ride where I get zero sleep. I'm exhausted and I just wanted to go for a stroll and catch the end of the Holi festivities and not get too dirty. That didn't go as I planned though...
    What would you have done?

I feel your frustration man and can relate to it! As an Indian, when I was a kid I used to go all out playing Holi - get all drenched and colored up. As I grew older I preferred to enjoy the spirit of the festival rather than getting colored up.
But if you are in India and tryna walk on the streets looking all clean on the festival day, you’ll be lucky if you don’t get tagged along. 99 percent of the people will be nice and will understand and will let you be but man there’s always that 1 percent. No matter how much you persuade them, nothing works on them especially when some liquid courage is mixed in the situation.

always go by train for long distance in India whenever possible. you have foreigners quota available for booking train tickets. You should try to book train tickets in 'Foreign Tourists Quota ' from IRCTC's online site with your valid international passport. Please always go for AC class in trains never general class.

Nick it is what it is. When we white boys walk around in India or Nepal during Holi, it's open season pal. I didn't really want to be in the Holi celebration in Kathmandu when I got there but had to make a quick attitude adjustment and bought a Holi Tee. The rest is sweet Nepali history. Much more enjoyable than in India I think. Nepal is a much more laid back country and the people are quite nice and very honest. There's very little happening the way of BLOW HORN. That really gets under my skin in India.

Yupp, foreigners always go to underdeveloped parts of India which give them more views and controversies. To enjoy India with full experience he should go to States Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Ladakh, Sikkim, Uttrakhand, Goa, Kerala and cities like Hyderabad, Ahemdabad, Vizag, Gurgaon, Noida, Lucknow, Bengaluru, etc.
These are new cities with world class infrastructure but they choose old stereotypical cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Kolkata. We aren't China who will demolish old ugly areas and build Skyscrapers, it's democracy and government can't touch anyone property before Courts order.

I have gone through all your videos about india
You have tried everything to paint a picture same as what BBC and other racist news media does
You said that britksh did good to india , ask the locals what british did , by just showing 2,3 buliding doesnt mean that those monsters were good
And then your videos thumbnails in india and of other countries is completely different. You are adding every racist element about india in every video
What i can tell you are a racist travel vlogger who just thought india would be same as you think , but for sufficing your viewers you gone to some underdeveloped places in the city for some cheap things.
And everyone is saying happy holi to you , they want to make you feel special and in holi you color the face , but then also your video title is MY FRUSTRATING DAY IN INDIA
now i would like to advice my fellow indians , who see this and learn that never ever give any hoot to foreigners

    • @NickKTravel
      @NickKTravel  Месяц назад +2

You clearly see only what you want to see and hear. When did I say the British did good things? never. I give plenty of examples of how the British did terrible things in India, you clearly didn't pay attention. Me commenting on a few British colonial buildings is me praising the British? lol really
My frustrating day in India has nothing to do with the festival itself or getting my face colored. It was more about how I was just minding my own business and I got blasted in the face with powder by some passerby. Or colored after I had cleaned up and told them no, I don't want color. I enjoyed myself in Udaipur during Holi, it was amazing.. but you didn't mention that. Also in the video said I had just got off a terrible night bus where I didn't get any sleep and I just wanted to get food. When passing people I was saying Happy Holi out of respect. It would have been rude of me just to ignore everyone. And you calling me racist and then ending your post by telling Indians never to give any hoot to foreigners.. Pot calling the kettle black are we.
