- Today I'm taking you to the Asean Cafe in Takasaki. This is one of the only restaurants in Gunma prefecture and the surrounding areas that serve authentic Indonesian food. It was pretty tasty! And luckily while I was there, I met many friendly Indonesians who shared a little bit of their story about how they ended up in Japan. After lunch with my friends, we headed over to the Sumber Rejeki Mart to check out what they sell. It seemed like all the Indonesians that went there to eat lunch at the restaurant went to the international store to load up on goodies they couldn't find anywhere else.

The only food on that shelf I recognized was the instant noodles. It is really cheap and delicious!
Maybe it’s because of the different presentation, but the food in that restaurant feels more refined!

Nick..i have some disturbing news about "college / student internship" in japan. Some agencies in indonesia are scammers which operate in many university in Indonesia. I as a "visiting lecture" in unesa surabaya state univ find that the scammer in 2023 not yet send the students to japan even their parents had paid about 20 million rupiah, not to forget basic japan language course fees. That is sickening me..5 of my students now are waiting with uncertainity.
