I used to make myself some Hoppin' John (black eyed peas stew w/ rice) on new year's day when I was in the US. Everything here looks nice. I'd have them all.
Definitely Yes. If I had to choose, I'm gonna choose to eat grilled ribs with Mac and Cheese. Luckily, I watched this as I ate lunch. This is what we call "Bikin Laper" (Made you Hungry) 😁feed us something new about Texas. Thank you !
I visited USA about 10 times until now and I will go to California, USA next week. I am invited to a back yard BBQ home party by an American friend. While watching your video, I am so excited to expect a genuine American home party next week in Bay Area. This video is pretty good to see your comfort and natural life with your family at your sweet home.
It turns out you are already living in paradise, Texas is really awesome! Your dad's tortilla and grandpa’s beef chili sauce are the best! I didn’t expect that your Texas burger restaurant has a buffet area, which beats all the fast food restaurants in the world! That cheeseburger is also the most authentic, and it’s rare to find rich ingredients in it in my country! (I hope you bought the Taxas Powerball Lottery and may you win!) That Cajun boil looks so rich and delicious, I believe it will warm your body after eating it! That grilled beef rib is so mouth-watering. Your dad is a master chef at all! I know the reason why Americans eat black-eyed peas on New Year's Day. The American South believes that black-eyed peas represent money, green vegetables represent banknotes, and cornbread represents gold nuggets. Locals believe that eating these dishes can bring good luck in the new year. There is a dish called Hoppin’ John, recorded in the 1847 book "The Carolina Housewife". It has been an important dish in Southern families for hundreds of years and has been passed down from generation to generation. Thank you for all your hard work in sharing all the delicious food with us! And thank you for sharing the first great video of 2024, you did a super great job. 👍🥰🙌🎈🎉
Good for you and nice to be home. After your bike tour I think you surely can use big amounts of solid American food with large chunks of meat and put on weight again. Your cap still seems to be fused to your head right?. Why should you eat from the table? Thanks for sharing this cosy family moments. Btw nice painting on the wall in that restaurant.
definitely packing on a few pounds since my bike trip.. started in Italy! That's just how they do the cajun boils, just dump everything on the tables...
Are those black eye'd peas also called Hoppin' Johns. In the Midwest, I think the only way to find black eye'd peas like that is in a can (CAN!!! hahahaha) of Hoppin' Johns.
After I saw it, it turns out that American food is easy to cook, grilled and boiled, the main ingredients retain their nutrition and just add sauce..so simple and healrhy, Nick, try cooking Fried Rice, who knows, your family will like it... Terimakasih
If you had to choose one, which one would you choose to eat?
Thanks for watching. Do you want to see more videos like this while I'm back in Texas?
