NoahFinnce for me I just stopped going to bathroom in public, because one I don’t want to go to the woman’s because that would make me feel terrible and wrong and I don’t want to go to the men’s to avoid the chance they call me a girl and because I agree guy bathrooms are disgusting. As a trans guy it’s frustrating that my favorite color is pink but I just like it, it relaxes me but then I’m scared of being misgendered. Being called sister. And you know what I will use my front hole! Even as a guy I will defend how someone talks about a woman and it’s even more annoying when they question you for that?? Like fuck off.

You won't ever know that because ur cis (which there isnt anything bad about that) but it is a struggle ya know, we struggle with that daily and can't ever forget about that so it's really hard to be positive. Tough love dont work here you gotta be able to see that it disables us in a way that makes us feel horrible about ourselves everyday. And each and every trans person has to work really hard to accept themselves and try to live with what we are and cant change.

I was trying to find a more "normal" name and then was like fuck it my name is the only one that actually feels right to me and it's like the name chose me and has a story to it so screw them if they wanted it to be a more known traditionally masculine name cause your name is about being who you are regardless.

It’s even to the point where if I’m upset and I need to cry, I’ll literally bottle it up so hard that my head hurts, just to avoid being perceived as a girl.

I have so much social dysphoria I basically only wear super masc clothing and almost exclusively wear black/grey and a lot of it is to do with these ridiculous perceptions of gender and while I'm not read as male yet I just don't feel like I can dress however I want just in what makes me feel most comfortable and also that people will actually believe me about my gender. It really sucks. But tbh I do also enjoy finally getting to wear what I was never allowed to before so it also does feel empowering in a way. But, I'd like the changes to happen so I have more options.

I love that you talk about how rigid the stereotypes and gender expression “rules” are in the trans community. I can’t tell you how many people tell me to cut my hair short or do this or that “hyper masculine” thing to pass better. I always bring up the example of my cis father to help explain. He’s a pretty effeminate dude with long hair and long nails and he talks with his hands a lot. Yet no one says he isn’t a man. I smiled at her because she was wearing this really cute outfit with a 50s kind of dress. Later I saw her walk into the mens' room, and I was so confused for a second! Then I remembered that this is NC, and last year a transwoman was attacked in the bathroom at another bar in Raleigh:( I don't understand why another person's "private parts" offends people so much, it is private, none of your business.

Omg the not knowing if I pass is terrifying. I’m 14 so I easily pass as like 12, I have quite a masculine face and I’ve never been misgendered by a stranger. But I once went quite a while before getting my haircut and like a 7 year old asked if I was a boy or a girl and I felt like I’d been punched

I also went Bow for two years before deciding I'm gonna come out and have to change it. So when people judge my choice (Bruno) it's SO annoying. Cuz I had to jump through so many hoops already.
    - I like the name
    - Can be pronounced in Polish and English
    - Works for Bow as a nickname
    - Is unique (cuz I have A LOT of uncles)
    - Is short cuz I have a long sir name
    - Easy to pronounce in both languages cuz once again the sir name is long and complicated
People just need to give me a break cuz I've had enough of it.

Ok thank you for talking about this, I’m a trans femboy and I felt like people and close lgbtq+ friends just thought I was a girl or was still questioning my gender simply because I still dressed feminine or unisex, and sometimes masculine when I feel particularly disphoric that day and want people to pass me as a guy by first glances. But i mainly dress feminine which a lot of even my trans friends are confused on and some think maybe I’m just not out to my family yet (I’m not but my mom know a little that I like girls too, she doesn’t know my exact sexuality cuz it wasn’t a sit down conversation we had about, it was just a fast thing) but like, my mom lets me wear whatever I want, when I got in alternative fashion she has learned to stop judging me for it and doesn’t question what I buy, she even grown to like what I wear, but uh back to the point. I just hate the fact that people think, just because you’re trans you have to automatically look like the stereotypical gender you feel comfortable with, and for some reason I can’t stop thinking of the day I told my bi or pan (don’t know their exact sexuality all I know is that they like boys and girls too) friend who used to have a crush on me that I was Trans and identified as a Demi-boy because she said, when talking to other friends to correct them when they use the wrong pronouns, “uhm, no, they are a male apparently and they go by he/they pronouns”
What stuck out to me is that she said “apparently”. Like bro do you think I’m still questioning it or something or did you do it on purpose simply because I was wearing feminine attire? Idk why I keep thinking of that day, it’s just keeps pissing me off each time. Anyways idk what to say anymore, I love your videos!

been on T for almost 3 months now. I take my shots weekly and man it’s already tiring 😬 wish I could do it every 3 weeks. This morning I had to take it and had my first time with some trouble getting the needle through my skin 🙄 It took 2 tries to finally get it to work, so frustrating.
And AIRPORTS are AWFUL if you haven’t had anything legally changed yet. I’m in the process of getting my name changed, but it’s still legally my deadname (it gives me a HELL of a lot of dysphoria). These airport people ask me to say my name while going through security so many times and refer to me as my deadname, and they look so confused the whole time!! They look at me and see this young man then see my legal name and they’re like *wtf*

God, hearing all this makes me so happy to live in germany.
Here you get your T shots every 3 months (after some time of smaller shots for like half a year) and at that appointment you can get your blood checked as well.
For the name changing, officially that sucks too because those 'professionals' that 'confirm' that you‘re transgender are asking you questions about your sexual preferences and if you penetrate or get penetrated during sex
(We‘re talking about necessary stuff for changing the NAME, just to remind you. I can’t tell you wtf this law is… but at least it’s worked on right now…)
But there is a law gap in some areas where you can avoid all that shit and just need a certification from your therapist and then it works. (I did that and it took waaaaay less time than the other way wich some of my friends chose. And without the inappropriate questions)
So man, compared from what you‘re telling Noah, I’m so glad I‘ve got it very chill here. It sucks to hear that other countries are over all so weird as mine is with the name changing.

I like being told I look masc by my friends (many of whom are trans so we share the same context and like to affirm each other in our shared cis-heavy social spaces) but I'm very early in my transition and am not yet read as cis masculine (yes I know that's not everyone's goal and you don't have to want that) and I appreciate it because I am actually very open about my transition because getting misgendered is so dysphoric for me I just end up explaining EVERYTHING to every new community I become a part of so I guess people find me really approachable and I do kinda take the lead in these convos by trying to get people to see me as masc and talking about being really masc so it's more them following that lead tbh because I'm trying to get them to see me how I really am - if I don't constantly assert my masculinity in conversation and remind people I'm a guy they start using female gendered language and dysphoric female-targeted stereotypes etc. The worst part is getting hit on cis guys who I know see me as female or being told "I like your hair, seeing hair that much shorter than average is really edgy" and having to casually remind them well short hair is more the socially approved convention for guys and see them realising they were gendering me as female implicitly in the process (my hair is currently the Cole Sprouse Jughead Joes haircut ie it is longer than the short back and sides haircuts so it's an annoying example of indirect conversational misgendering) so having them consciously actively making the effort to affirm me as masc while I'm not yet read as male (my chest also gives me away and I don't bind due to dysphoria as it reminds me of wearing bras) is helpful.
Once I'm read as cis and no longer have to correct people on my gender I am likely going to get annoyed if people say it unsolicited though.

However I'm still afraid to use the men's bathrooms and usually avoid bathrooms altogether when I'm going out, but I had to use the women's with my nan. I stg there were like 4 or 5 women in there and most of them were looking weirdly and concerned at me and I was like oh shit and quickly said something to my nan loud enough for them to hear in my stupid high pre-t voice. Felt like shit for the rest of the night but it was either that or have someone call the security on me. Also waiting lists are the worst, I've been on one for a referral to GIDS for 18 months now, which is the average wait time for that one, so essentially I should be expecting a call or letter in the next month or so, but because of the coronavirus it's probably going to be way longer now :(

Some changes from testosterone are reasonably permanent like voice drop etc but some things will go back like fat redistribution and periods restart if testosterone is stopped

I started on gel and meant to switch to injections eventually but I'm actually loving the constant hormone levels. No hot flashes or any of that bs and E is near non-existent and T is in the healthy male range. It's inconvenient to do it every day for sure but why would I knowingly switch to that rollercoaster at this point? I'm thinking I won't.

Hi Noah, great video! I'm a cis gay guy and I watch your videos to learn to be a better friend to trans guys I know. I also really like your open honesty in your videos, you just speak your mind but with a very acute self-awareness. You have a great energy and your videos are fun to watch!
