This is like the current Turkmenistan anthem but even prettier. I get goosebumps during the parts with the high notes. I love how deeply spiritual this feels, which is ironic because Turkmenistan banned religion when it was communist. Wait, is Turkmenistan still communist? I've heard some say that it is and others say that it isn't.
Basically Turkmenistan's former president was president at the last moments of USSR, that of now I don't know but all I know he's very oppressive and that his predecessor wrote a book and claimed it to be a revelation from God, now it's preached in mosques rather than Islam and is the basis for education in Turkmenistan.
I was born in Turkmenistan; my extended family currently resides there. It is most certainly not a socialist state. Not only is the Communist Party of Turkmenistan banned, but the current government consists of ruthless thieves that leech off of the people. I was born in the capital Ashgabat. My mother told me several stories regarding her early life in the Soviet Union. One of the primary aspects that I continue to keep in mind is that the city itself used to be full of life and development under the Turkmen Soviet Socialist Republic. Nowadays, the city is covered in disgusting white marble buildings that serve little purpose other than showcase the tremendous waste of resources on the part of the leadership. Rampant corruption and inhumane wages are a staple of life in the country; a result of the capitalist exploitation currently underway for nearly 29 years. Recently, my cousin had sought admission in one of the country's universities to study medicine. He was rejected not because of his grades but due to his failure to provide the necessary "funds" to give these corrupt bureaucrats that run the education system. As such, he was forced to go to the Russian Federation and study in Kazan. My immediate family resides in the United States. We regularly send my extended family money due to the meager pension that my grandmother receives. All in all, today's Turkmenistan is a completely different country compared to its conditions as a Soviet republic. Needless to say, the country has been on a social and economic degradation since the restoration of capitalism. Who knows what the future holds.
@@wanderingshaman2952 Wow. I had no idea it was so different nowadays. I thought the current Democratic Party was the old Communist Party of Turkmenistan but renamed. I guess maybe superficially it has some things in common with the Turkmen SSR but it sounds like it's entirely different nowadays. I was hopeful that maybe Turkmenistan was like Belarus in avoiding the fate that befell the former Soviet states but I guess that wasn't the case at all

One of the prettiest anthems ever! ^_^
This is quite a beautiful anthem. I wish they would have kept it.
소련 국가들은 웅장한듯요

I love how they spell Soviet with a W❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is the post-Soviet latinized alphabet, adopted in 1993 when Turkmenistan became independent.

@@yasser6363 Wow...it sounds almost like he read 1984 and thought "this, but unironically".

Sarah Lear All of the former Soviet Republics are still suffering since the dissolution. Not even Russia has really recovered.
