One question, are all dialects of persian fully intelligible with each other? Farsi, Dari and Tajik? and are the other iranic languages like balochi, kurdish or pashto intelligible with persian?
@@UwU-xk5cx regarding Dari, Farsi, and Tajik, we can have a normal conversation with each other with some occasional clarification requests on certain words. Dari is much closer to the original Persian spoken thousands of years ago, whereas Farsi today has evolved to have alot more simplifications in slang, etc, similar to how in English people simplify words (i.e. what's up to 'sup). About other Iranic languages, I think they have significantly less intelligibility. You'll hear Persian words in Kurdish and Pashto but the sentences are structed differently.
The only thing I've heard is Stalin change the name of your language , from Farsi to Tajiki . And of course i respect that . But bro , as a Persian . If someone ask me about my language , I'll tell i speak Farsi , not Irani 😂 . Also afghanistan people use to say we speak Farsi not afghani . But most Tajiks say we speak Tajiki .. it's RIGHT but also is a little bit weird ..
you are wrong my friend. I am Tajik and there are few things to be said. 1. Tajik language is close to Persian which is what Iranians speak , but Tajik is a dialect of this language 2. Tajik means people who wear crowns. We are the ascendants of Aryan-Persians, ascendants of Kings and Queens of that time. 3.The Russians took control of us in the early 1860's. They wanted to stop the influence from Iran as Iran tried to help us to be independent. It was unsuccessful. No one change our name, we instead embraced it and here we are today. :D
ur kinda correct, there are 3 main dialects of the Persian language, Farsi (also called persian for commodity reasons, spoken in most of Iran and the most widely spoken), Dari (spoken mainly in afghanistan and eastern iran), and Tajik (spoken mainly in tajikistan and nrthern afghanistan) what stalin did was calling the tajik dialect of farsi a complete separate language (which is not) to try and create a separation sense from afghanistan specifically as northern afghanistan speaks tajik persian, kinda what they did with Moldova in which they called the Moldavian dialect a complete separate language which of course is not as its only a romanian dialect along with Wallachian, Crisanian, Maramures and Banatian, or what happens in Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia and Montenegro where every country says they speak their own language while in reality Croatian, Bosnian, Serbian, Montenegrin, etc are just dialects of the same language called Serbo-croatian
