thanks Packetm0nkey - appreciate the vote of confidence. As you know, racing is not just about skill, but its also very much about making the right calls, and this time I totally messed up. And yes, I would have loved to have seen what I could have done on rains. The fact that I was on slicks, and on the tail of the leader, on rains, when I spun, and way ahead of the rest of the field, makes my think I would have walked it. But woulda-coulda-shoulda. I spun, retired that's the result I have to live with!!! Not going to ask the locals for their weather advice anymore!!! :-)
That was insane. Love to see you keeping it pinned and add countersteer whenever losing the rear. I was hoping you had at least some Continental DWs in there. 😅
Thats mental, when an extremely talented driver cannot keep a stock power miata in a straight line you know theres some horribly unpredictable conditions
You got that right Nelson. It was exciting and fun all the way to the main straight, and then, after spinning and waiting to be hit by the rest of the field, it became really scary. I figured I had dodged a bullet this time, but wasn't sure I would be so lucky the next time and pulled it in. First time I have quit a rain race!
Impressive driving on ice skates! You remembered Rule Number One Of Spec Miata: NEVER LIFT!!!
Never, never, never lift!
Smart choice Brotha!
Thank you sir, it was an easy choice to make after that spin, felt very luck to get away unscathed
At least you got to to donuts in the infield. Would have loved to see you run on wets as you're pretty awesome in the rain.

You mean there is another way, Carlos? I only know pinned!!! :-)

Great choice!!!!!

Yup - way more water on the track than anyone anticipated, not a good recipe for slicks! Or even being able to see where to go!
Smart call.
Got lucky this time!
this race seems so fun yet so scary at the same time.

Well, nothing you could do about that. Good call.
will you be posting race 1?
Yes I plan to when I get back home this weekend
