I can't imagine losing a parent at age 9. The worst I had to deal with was divorce but my parents still get along and everything so its NOTHING compared to what you guys had to go through. I agree with Jeff about the props to Legend for never remarrying, he loved Ruby and that was that. Can't wait to see part 2!
I couldn’t imagine either. My parents also divorced, but unfortunately they still don’t get along completely to this day. A lot of my childhood memories are of them fighting unfortunately. Money, me and my younger brother, etc etc. If they could fight over it they did. They are definitely a lot more civil now compared to when I was a kid, but when they are in the same room you can tell they don’t want to be by each other. Still nothing compared to their losses though 😔
The amount of true views of the "PARENTS" entry hasn't been counted up by RUclips yet correctly. Due to the overwhelming positive feedback that this entry has received, I will post the video tomorrow when it hits 25,000 views or so. If "PARENTS" Part 1 hit home with you, Part 2 will move you even more. Thanks, Matt Hardy
Very emotional video. My Mother in Law when I first met her was going through breast cancer. Down the road the cancer went away. Several years later here recently she has bone cancer. At the moment it is stablized. I thank God everyday for having her in my life. She is a strong woman. She has a good heart and good attitude about it. She means alot to me. God Bless to all the women out there who have survived or have lost the battle. God has some special angels up there by his side. God Bless
Thank you (Matt Jeff & Shannon) for posting. It's showing me that I need to appreciate my parents more. Not just my parents, but all those that care about me as well. Again, thank you all.
That was very heart touching. Anyone who has lost a loved one knows what it is like. It really makes me appreciate having my parents, despite all the health problems and surgeries, it makes me appreciate all the time I have with them. Thanks for a great installment.
I know how hard it is to lose a parent I lost my father at 16 years of cancer I miss him so much so now I have the inspiration to move on with my life. so god bless u matt you are amazing Inspiration to us all so rock on!
I cried watching this, not going to lie. I can't imagine losing my mom at such a young age like you did and I cant imagine losing my dad like Shannon did. I love my mom and dad with everything I have in me. Take care Matt.
such a beautiful episode, my mum died 2 years ago from Cancer, no words can describe what its like to loose a parent. It keeps me going by thinking that she is looking down and watching over me, Good Luck to Matt and Jeff in all your future projects, your Mum will be very very very proud of you both, same to Shannon. xx
Part 2 of "PARENTS" will go up when Part 1 reaches 50,000 views. If any Wrestling or Entertainment Website embeds this video and u send me a mention on Twitter I will RT and promote your website.
@MATTHARDYBRAND Shannon' s story hit me very close to home even more as I too lost my dad in a car accident. The only difference between our fathers' passing is mine died on impact. I was 5 years old when this happened so thanks for sharing all these stories with us!
It's like the old saying..never judge a person by their appearance, but by their characteristics. This video right here proves it. Wrestling is Entertainment, but what happens behind the curtains is life stories of tragedy and triumph. thank you guys.
Thank You Jeff Matt And Shannon For Sharing This With Us I Think Am Going To Cry Anyone Got A Tissue For Me Please And I Am So Sorry Jeff Matt And Shannon May Your Families Have A Great Life In Heaven God Bless Them
I am lucky to still have both parents and try to be there for the when I can and thank them for all they have done for me and live for the moment for you never know when the moment is gone. Thanks for sharing Matt, Jeff @ Shannon. Peace
ive been raised by my butler and maids as well as my papas best friend my mama died when i was 2 and my papa died when i was 5 i thank Skyler for all hes done for my and my papa and all my family and friends RIP Mama and Papa
Love this episode. It's beautiful. My heartfelt sympathy to you, Jeff and Shannon. I know how it is to loose a parent. My dad past away in 2003. You did an amazing work on this episode. Respect!!!
Your mom is very beautiful and will always be a special angel. Congratulations to Matt on becoming an Uncle and Congratulations to Beth and Jeff on the birth of their daughter!
I actually started to cry my eyes out. I lost my grandfather about 4 years ago. He helped raise me from the time I was born. He was like a father figure. To have to watch someone slowly fade away like I did, it sucks. I'm very sorry to hear about your losses. I know your mom is watching over you and Jeff every step of the way and she is proud of the strong inspirations you've become. Same to Shannon's dad. Be well guys!!
Very emotional but touching episode. It made me cry cause it reminded me of when I lost my Dad back in 2008. He died at home holding my mom's hand and when I got home I just missed his passing. I got to see him but he was already gone. I feel for you Shannon, Matt, and Jeff.
This is a wonderful video, thanks Matt for downloading this for us. I also lost my mother 15 years ago, when I was 13 years old. Stay strong guys! love you ♥
Never seen THS before what a heart warming entry makes me feel very lucky that both my parents are still here with me - sometimes I dont realise how lucky I am...Thank you for making me realise how lucky I am Thank you Jon
Shannon, Jeff and Matt, I know what you all have gone through. I like you all lost both my parents at 17 and you never truly get over that loss. My Prayers are with you all. My God Bless you all in you're journey's in life.
I can't stop crying after watching this. I just lost my mom 2 weeks ago....after watching her slowly fade away with dementia. Even though I'm 40...its still not right to watch her die. She was also a very classy lady who would never hurt a fly. She liked everybody and didn't deserve to die the way she did. :(
You guys have the best father and mother and Shannon too. I admire your dad and Shannon's mom for being a single parent. It's not easy, having to do the job of two parents. I'm sure your mom is proud of how you guys turn out, same for Shannon. God bless your families with love, peace, happiness and harmony.
Powerful video. This is why so called "fans" should stop judging Matt and Jeff. Once you see their life stories, you get to understand how and why certain things occurred. Shannon's story was real touching as well. My prayers go out to all of you.
What can I say except that this part of the episode is truely heart felt and sad at what you guys went through. I can't say that I never lost a parent but I know what tragey feels like at that age and sometimes you can't forget about it but it does makes us what we are today.
On Janary 5 1989 I lost my father, he was 58-it was one month to the day of my 17th birthday. Less than 2 years later on Chistmas Eve 1990 I lost my mom, she was 50 I was 18. They both had emphesyema from years and years of smoking. No cancer just emphesyma. I have had 3 daughters that have no grandparents on my side. This video really makes me sad, even though my parents were emotionally abusive (mostly my mom) it still hurts when the miss the good things. Thank you to Matt, Jeff & Shannon
This hit me pretty hard. My step-dad just had a really bad motorcycle wreck about a week ago. He had a really bad head injury among other things. Hearing Shannons part was really hard. Made me realize I could have lost the guy I call dad that day. Hell i'm tearing up right now just thinking about it. I thank god every day since then that he is asleep, safe and sound, and snoring like a mad man in the living room. Big BIG love to you three.
This made me go and hug my mom, its to late to call my dad(4am in the morning) but as soon as I know he's awake i'm going to call him. :/ I'm sorry for you guys lost.
The bit that moves me the most in this video is Shannon talking about exactly how his father died. As for Matt and Jeff, I can kinda relate because my friend's mum passed away due to cancer a few weeks ago.
Wasn't really expecting this episode would've hit me so hard... Thanks for sharing an incredibly emotional story with the WWE universe like that. Thank you Matt, Jeff and Shannon.
I started to cry.. It made me wish that I still had my dad.. :'( He died when I was three and a half. I'm fifteen now and I don't remember anything about him. All I can remember is walking into this building thing and seeing his body lying motionless.
Well that brought tears to my eyes it's obvious they have a strong bond with there dad and Shannon with his mum and this has helped them grow into stronger people. Also memories never die it's good to keep them alive
This is a Great video, I can relate to Alot of this. I lost my dad when I was young and I lost my 15 year old son 3 years ago, Along with my wife leaving me shortly after his accident. This is a Very heart felt episode. Thanks Matt for uploading this. I wish you, Jeff, And All your friend The Best..!
This is so emotional. I loved it. I was born as the same day as your mom, so i thought that was kinda cool. But I am so sorry that you guys had to lose someone so dear to you.

I had atached a video, but I don't know why people can't see it here... I've lost my parents over the years, and you can't help but feel lost without.. I feel even more lost as I don't have a family to speak of, only friends. But this was a beautifully made episode, thank you.

Wow.. very touching episode. Never seen the hardy show, honestly just found your channel recently. But back to topic, this is a prime examply on why you should cherish your time with your parents, you never know what or how things can turn. After watching part 1, i think i'm going to be getting some of the THS dvd's they are really really well done. Awesome job, can't wait to see the rest of this episode. It is funny though, how tragic events can make you stronger and better as a person.
I want to thank the hardy show for this episode, I think wat if my mom or dad doesnt make tomorrow and it makes me sad. I cant ever emagine life without them so it must have been hell for you guys,,,,,im suprised that any kid cud grow up without the other parent and it kills me that kids I know do. I love you guys and all the work you do. Stay well! :)

Wonderful Video Matt. I love this episode. I cannot wait until part 2. Everyone, we need to get this to 50,000 views really fast. The faster we get it up there, the faster we get part 2. THANK YOU MATT!!!
The video is touching for me. I lost my birth father when I was 15 due to suicide, my stepfather died 12 days before my high school graduation in 2010, but I have an adopted dad that's still alive. I'm 20 years old now. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about them. I think about them all the time.
@MATTHARDYBRAND im sorry for wut u went through. im glad dat u used ur mom as ur inspiration in life nd yr career and i admire u, jeff, and shannon for that. luv u!!!

Touching to say the least. Can't really put into words my thoughts.
The video is touching for me. I lost my birth father when I was 15 due to suicide, my stepfather died 12 days before my high school graduation in 2010, but I have an adopted dad that's still alive. I'm 20 years old now. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about them. I think about them all the time.
Touching piece...
