Men being toxic online has rly transitioned to them being ruthless in-person. Recently, I was involved in a car accident. I was merging and the guy didn’t want me in front, so he accelerated and sped just for me to not merge, however I had already merged, so what did he do? He literally hit the side of my car and tried to get me into an accident. When we pulled over, I noticed only MEN coming to help HIM. Mind you, he’s the one that hit me and tried flipping my car with my dogs inside. There were about 6 men that just talked to him and asked if he was ok, but totally ignored me and kept making rude expressions towards me. Also one of them said, “f**king women”. I made sure my car was locked the entire time and when they left, I just started bawling. I couldn’t believe he hit me and tried to get me into a bigger accident. However, only the men went to him and asked if he was fine, when his car had no scratches or anything. My poor car was left with a big bump on the side, tire marks, scratches, and his truck’s paint to forever remind me of this incident. Then, when I told my bf’s male friends about this, they didn’t believe me and got all weird with me. I’m honestly scared to drive now because it’s mostly men road raging and then blaming everyone else and murmuring “women” under their breaths

Regarding the men with their road rage and not viewing us as equal on the road, it reminded me of something similar. I used to watch car videos but had to stop since the comments were so bad. There was so much sexism. One guy flipped out since he cut in front of me in the drive-through even though it was my turn. I honked, and he yelled "It was my turn dumbass" out his window. I didn't know what to expect next. It's truly scary being a woman in this world. Please know we're all here for you on this channel! ❤️
I've been noticing this men brotherhood a lot lately. You just gave me another more extreme example. They help each other out even if they don't know each other wow, and infuriates me that among women this doesn't exist usually, even if they're close friends, on the contrary there's a lot of envy, betrayal etc. I don't have friends, and I continue being betrayed with the ones I try a friendship with.
The only thing I can do atm to help other women is to seek and help other women businesses, like going to only female medical doctors, psychologists, etc also because they're usually better than the men who provide the same services
It is a bit intimidating, first crash I got into was because a man was aggressively tailgating me at night a couple weeks after I passed my test. I sped up out of fear but was going too fast for the road and my ability at the time and sailed over a junction into a lamppost. He drove off but another nice man stopped and stayed with me a while to make sure I wasn’t in shock. My fault, absolutely. But would it have happened if I wasn’t being tailgated? No. Obviously I slow to a crawl now if someone does the same thing and they can have the risk of overtaking me. Lesson learned. Also think many men don’t realise how intimidating they are and the general apprehension we have to have around them, some do (and some enjoy it) but most decent guys don’t appreciate it because they know they personally would never do anything to harm a woman.

I would say Margot Robbie’s move away from the male gaze was even earlier with Birds of Prey. Her version of Harley in that movie vs Suicide Squad is so different and she was a producer of that movie. Her outfits, how she talked and acted, the all female group was just all catered to the female gaze
I love the ones that take the time to go to my profile page, where it clearly shows I'm married, to send me a DM and in that DM tell me that I'll never get married because I'm ugly and a feminist. They're just so proudly declaring their inability to read.
I wouldn’t care if someone I didn’t care about called me ugly, which seems to be the scenario. I used to think I’m pretty while aging makes it hard. But a couple of my best friends (most of them white men) have confessed they don’t think I’m attractive because they don’t think East Asian are attractive (I’m East Asian), and I’m not sure what to do with that. It’s one thing for them to basically inform me I’m ugly in the eyes of friends I look up to, and then it’s another thing for them to tell my whole race is ugly.

i have been having a beauty slump lately so i am trying to watch media. i might print out pictures of women that i think as pretty and some with my features to feel better. i am looking for female groups that talk about things like this to feel less alone. i like getting advice from older women too.

Rating people on physical appearance has become so commonplace now, it’s disgusting. Watch any street interview/rating video and the women will almost always rate themselves 5-7, and if they DARE to rate above a 7, the men will rip them to shreds in the comments for “not being humble.” And the best part? The men will rate the women around 7 (usually below) and themselves much higher. Imagine rating a gorgeous women a 7 max, and then rating yourself an 8.5?! 😂

it's like some men get some kinda sadistic pleasure when they get the opportunity to let a woman 'know her place', they want a beautiful woman who doesnt know shes beautiful.
Men are so insecure (not all men obvs) but I think they’re jealous of women. We live in an age where at least in the US there are more women and college than men and much more women choosing a career over their bf or their future children. We made a movement of girls supporting girls and we have made a lot of progress lately with support and lifting each other up. On the other hand, many men feel bitter and don’t have as great social connections with other men (ex. they’ll saying getting roasted is part of friendship, but they don’t actually get genuine support from friends and can’t be vulnerable), but they don’t want to be the one who starts being more accepting and supportive of their friends. Men also place a lot of value in relationships while many women are decentering from it recognizing there are many other valuable aspects of life. They feel like losers because they don’t have a gf (which is part of success to them), don’t have a support system, and have more competition in the workforce, etc. instead of bettering themselves or helping their friends they’d rather bring women down to their level because that’s easier
I unfollowed a huge male streamer (millions of subscribers) because he kept doing this even with gaming female character. And so did his chat. I looked at him and kept thinking “how do you even have the audacity to judge these beautiful women looking like this?” The craziest part was one day he went on a rant about how women would fake hype their friends in their comments by calling them beautiful when in reality they were ugly. When you mentioned Margot Robbie I inmediately thought of how, as you said, when she portrayed a very mentally unstable and sexualized Harley Quinn that was madly in love with the Joker and would put up with his abuse in Suicide Squad (2016), men would call her the perfect woman and the ideal girlfriend, yet when Harley separated from him and became her own strong and independent character who dressed for herself and not for the male gaze in Birds of Prey (2020), they all turned on her instantly, shitting on the movie saying how it was stupid feminist propaganda and mocking her appearance like there was no tomorrow. It has always been the one example i refer to when explaining the female vs male gaze to someone and how all men really care about is how appealing a woman is to them. They all dismissed her character growth and how her changing her appearence is actually a great and meaningful thing and jumped to bashing her for not being sexy enough

The way Harley Quinn is filmed in the first Suicide Squad vs Birds of Prey also shows a clear difference between the directors - Birds of Prey has been directed by a woman and let's just say that the way the camera looks at the characters SHOWS it. Harley Quinn has a much more interesting frame in Birds of Prey.
Another thing that they say when Harley was all over the joker despite being slapped and kicked around by him is “oh, that’s wifey right there”

My one word of advice to men who are forever telling women that they'll die alone, with their cats and dogs: no. YOU are going to die alone in an old age home, abandoned by your family. Not single women. The reason I know this is from a nurse, who works in this field. When you can't be bothered to act like a human being for the entirety of your life, even if you have blood relatives, no one is going to give a damn about you.

Here’s the reality - men will 🔩 the family dog. That’s why you hear stories from conventionally unattractive women about how they’re getting action all the time. A woman’s attractiveness only matters when he’s trying to get validation from OTHER MEN. If he knows that he doesn’t qualify for an attractive woman, he’ll try to put her down so it affects her self esteem and she’ll accept a man at his low level (when she can actually get a higher-level man). If he was just looking for a “smash and dash on the DL”, he wouldn’t care about how she looks, as long as he can get that 🐱 easy and with little to no effort.

Not really. I watched quite a few episodes and the sad part is the girls usually have X000s followers when his podcasts get 60000-70000 live audience and millions of views per episode. He asks second timers how many new followers they got and the max I heard was 100. Usually it is only a couple new followers. So he benefits from them way more than they benefit from him
To be frank, it really was liberating to understand that attacks on my body were meant to humiliate / put me down.

Just avoid watching all those “dating”’podcasts all together, it’s poison for the brain. Dating a real man should feel organic and exciting, and when a guy constantly watches that kind of content, you can tell because he overthinks every little interaction & has to rely on dating podcasts for every bit of advice. Things on social media are often so much more polarized than in reality. An emotionally healthy man (& woman) wouldn’t waste time watching those trash podcasts.

It's not about being born with it(first of all, men are not born with a beard), or one being natural versus one not being natural... It's about how much it can hide. Not even close. I'm slightly above average and I wouldn't give him a second glance and I do date people that match me in attractiveness. Something I've noticed is that every guy who has ever called me ugly or made negative comments about my appearance has been extremely unattractive. I feel more bad for the men that don't realize they're just pulling massive pr for these girls. It would be so easy to get paid to not react to their egging. I think its important to take good care of your self and look presentable but actually attempting to fit the beauty standard perfectly will leave you miserable and with no confidence, making you an easy prey for low value men.
I was called "The ugly one" out of my trio of friends at a bar once by a hideously ugly man. I couldn't help but think...you're one to talk, have you looked in a mirror..? He was projecting I'm sure but it still hurt and embarrassed me. It was in front of his male friends.
Ignore him. I know it's easier said than done, but he's only trying to belittle you because he's a hideous beast and you are way out of his league. Be beautiful, and shine.

The most absurd thing about this, in my opinion, is that the bad men feel entitled to have their opinions out there, specially in female topics and spaces. THIS!!! My boyfriend may look very “alpha male dude” by looks. But he was raised in an household with a responsible father and loving mother, along with his older sister and younger brother.
He never bullied anyone, never degraded anyone, he doesn’t even like social media like that. He just plays basketball, works out, read books, or play video games. He is God fearing and he treats everyone with respect and humility.

but let a gym girlie wear a cute outfit to the gym, do her makeup, turn around, dance, or take a selfie. they will attack her for having her phone out and invading other’s privacy, say she only goes to the gym for attention, say women “ask to be objectified”, and slut shame her to no end. it’s really sad.

I definitely would never take criticism from a guy who I’m not even attracted to either…I.e. that guy. I swear he and his other male co-stars were the kind of guys you ignored in school.
