One of them had a punctured fuel tank too. Thankfully they don't go fast on the line the derailment occurred, and they went roughly 5mph when they were being towed to make sure nothing happened.
Great catch! Shame for me that you didn't do a close-up of the GP9, but only because I have one next in my queue for detailing and sound-fitting; fishbelly frame, 'gator nose and dynamics blisters, what's not to love. Much enjoyed anyway - thank you :-)
My sister works in a building where those locomotives derailed in East Aurora at Main and Riley streets, she sent me a picture of the derailment soon after it happened.

Surprising to see they were fit to travel by rail. Looked like the only major damage was to the footplating on one of them.

Thanks! Yeah sorry about not zooming in on the GP9, my main focus was the damage on the locomotives 🙂
Pretty big rail yard
Odd thing is it's always empty, but I think the reason why is it's owned by Norfolk Southern and they have two larger yards not too far from this one
Great footage matty, just subbed 👍👍
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
Nice video and channel mate, big like added and subscribed 👍
Awesome, thank you!
Damn the carnage looks extensive
Would've been much worse if the train was going faster. I know one of the locomotive fuel tanks was leaking too
Great catch! I saw 887 in Salamanca last weekend. Any information on the damaged SD60Ms and SD60I?
Awesome, I was wondering where it went haha As far as I know I think they were towed south to BPRRs shop but I haven't heard anything since.

Damn, I can't even imagine what it was like to be near there when it happened. Did she say how loud it was?
She said it was loud and it shook the whole building
Good lord man, that's insane! Thank God those trains go slow on that line.
That poor triclops 😪😪
It's back in service now 🙂
@@mattygunn693 good to hear matty
@Matty Gunn.... Did the crew of NS 206 with NS 8025 saw the Damaged B&P Units when they went by BPRR -1??
I don't know if they saw the damage or not, by they went the units so at the very least they saw the engines
@@mattygunn693... Oh Ok
So, where are those locos going to get fixed?
From what I heard they'll eventually be taken back south to B&P's shops in Butler, PA.
What do you think will happen to them? Scrap?
Nope, they'll fix them and put em back in service. Thankfully the damage is minor so they might not even be out of service for long.
I want to know about the building in the background!
That is the old power plant for the Buffalo Color company. Apparently it's being renovated for office space.
Choo-choos fall down go boom!
Yes they did lol
Scrapped?
Nope, repaired and put back in service!
Epic
Awesome!
Thanks dude!
