Finally, truth to this truck! I’m a Toyota dude however, I have always said the ZR2 with front and rear lockers is a game changer! Great job!! Look forward to customizations!
@@espd50 it definitely is, and I think manufacturers are missing the mark. Personally, if I’m buying a truck with dual lockers, I want to wheel it. And I don’t want to wheel a $75k vehicle.
@@g4yrut Agree, most of these expensive off-road trucks never even see dirt. I’m looking at building an older Landcruiser or Jeep Rubicon for wheeling. I recently sold my 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail that I enjoyed for 10 years and still sold for almost what I paid for it. Crazy times!
I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and I'm absolutely thrilled with it. Rides great, plenty of power, tires do surprisingly well in snow/wintry icey mix here in Maine, and it looks bad-ass. I've got zero to complain about. Added a bedrug full bed liner and Truxedo X15 pro tonneau. Nicest truck I've ever had by a longshot!
It does. It’s honestly a much more hard core off roader, with its dual solid axels, but it’s also an HD truck, weighing 7000lbs. The Silverado ZR2 is a true half ton and is only 5600lbs. I guess it’s up to what you need in an off roading truck. With the PW you can tow and haul so much more and it’s off road gear is much more durable. But if you’re not needing so much hauling power or bed length, the ZR2 is the Goldilocks zone. That’s why I got mine. It’ll haul more than a midsize, with way, way more interior comfort, but isn’t as long as a Ram PW, or as wide as the Raptor or TRX
@@g4yrut only because the PW uses off road struts. If you add an Airbag levelling system to the rear, you can readjust the hight to level off and use the Heavy duty 2500 frame to it's fullest. If you did the same thing to the ZR2 you would only increase the payload slightly, as its a half ton 1500 frame. Does that help?
THANK YOU! Someone that will finally give their opinion on exactly what they think of the truck versus stating facts and not ever actually saying if they think it's better than others.
Yall gunna start making accessories for the Silverado ZR2? I've got a '22 model and would love to have a front hidden winch mount for the factory bumper and some belly armor.
The AEV parts that are on the Silverado ZR2 Bison should be available to order piecemeal pretty soon. I’m definitely getting the center differential and gas tank armor when they’re available for my ‘22 ZR2
AWESOME video! I have a hard time finding a video on the ZR2 where the topic is just the ZR2 and not 2 certain other trucks it isn't even built to compete with. Liked and subscribed!
You beat me to it, I was about to type the same thing. PW had front and rear lockers for ever. Plus the PowerWagon came with an integrated from factor winch. Solid axles, the works. Hard to beat. This new Chevy ZR2, particularly in full Bison mode, may be the PowerWagon killer...
@@jonathanblack3351I have owned both: 2021 Power Wagon and a 2024 ZR2 with duramax. Ride quality goes to the ZR2 hands down. Offroad, that’s real close, I do miss the winch but got to give the edge to the ZR2 due to lowend torque from the duramax.

Is it though? You could buy a truck for less than half this price, add lockers and tires, and call it a day.
Very true, I was just comparing to what is new on the market. It is an expensive truck.

Awesome truck! I'm a Toyota fan but I'd take that over a Tundra TRD Pro.

I’m in Maine as well, how’s the truck? Diesel or gas?
Ram Power Wagon also has front and rear electronic locking diffs...and a swaybar disconnect if I remember right.

The ZR2 and Powerwagon have nearly identical payload and towing capacities…

Thanks for subscribing! We have a lot more coming for this Silverado!
Looking forward to this build
So are we!
Any update on the parts?? Just went on the website and didn’t even see the Silverado listed
So, rear swing out bumper? Prinsu cab roof rack?
We have sliders, skid plates, bed bars, and a prinsu rack for it so far. Bumpers coming soon
@@CBIOFFROADFABI just went on your website and I didn’t find anything for the Silverado
What's the timeline for a Silverado ZR2 winch mount? I had your the half-bumper kit for my Colorado ZR2...it was great in design & function!!!
Thanks for supporting us! Probably the later part of the year.
Take my money! I'll be impatiently waiting for bumpers.
Do you see any draw backs to getting it with the AEV package?
Do you guys plan on making anything for these other than ditch light brackets? Sliders and a winch bumper or mount (fit diesel too) would be dope!
Yes! Sliders and skid plates are basically done. Roof rack and bed racks are available now.
Nice choice I love it😁
Dude you are wrong💁🏼♂️ Ram Power Wagon has had Front and rear lockers for years
2500 truck kind of a different ball park
Power wagons are definitely something we want to get our hands on

Please please please make bumpers for the Silverado!!!!
🤫
Its worth the extra $4k for that 6.2
Until it drops a valve and blows which the 6.2 was known for
Needs forced induction like my CTS-V had!
I wish they would offer it with the 3.0 Duramax
2024 will have the 3.0 duramax
why do you wear tennis shoes in the snow?
Aerodynamics 🙃
No comments on the lack of front sensors?? Pretty inexcusable for a truck of this cost.
Seems like a great truck. Im not buying a new truck ever again though . $75k + dealer markup will maje it $85k. GM lost their minds
Where is the TRX monster ?
Wow I'm surprised CBI took on a silverado ZR2
It’s about time
@@CBIOFFROADFAB Indeed it is!!!! How about making the hole-drilled skidplates like the 4Runners for the full underbody? Thanks!!! 😁
Rust proof those metals parts. Especially that front bumper. Or it'll look like crap in a couple years of winter and de icing measures
Good point. We'll be making our own front bumper to replace it
A RUclipsr bought one when it first came out and is already up to 20,000 miles of offloading on it, and the transmission gave out

If you have a v8 truck expect fuel economy to not be great especially if you’re using it as intended for off road use
LB-Ft not FT-LB. Two different measurements.
Good catch!
11mpg in the city
The most off-road capable factory truck. Period! 75k vs trx over 200k, 3k more than an ugly ass tundra that is absolutely no comparison.
my 2020 Z71 is way more capable with only 3k of upgrades. bought the truck for 45k new.
I’m not sure this is better than the raptor.
