      SO true. We got plenty of 91 here in Oklahoma...but, hard to find 93. I go to Texas, Arkansas, Missouri (surrounding states) and can find 93 everywhere. These trucks LOVE 93

    I just ordered my ZR2 yesterday and I have a June 6 production date. Hopefully I will get it by August at the latest. I don’t fully understand how this process works but I’m about to find out. The salesman told me that since these trucks are rare, it will take longer to have it built. Congratulations on the new truck.

  • @chuco425
    @chuco425 2 года назад +3

    Jump. “Baja” suspension is actually on the firm side; which is why it’s not bouncing up an down when off road. You could see the ZR2, after the jump, bounce a bit. The issue you’re having with the Silverado sounds a lot like the Colorado transmission shudder issue (some people with A8 Camaros have had it too)

  • @MrJeffyb69
    @MrJeffyb69 2 года назад +8

    @ 1:05 In rock crawling your suspension would be a little softer, not stiffer vs a "baja" truck.You need a softer suspension to allow for more articulation in rock crawling :-) The TRX and Raptor have more travel in the suspension than the ZR2, but I'd guess stiffer shocks/springs to handle the jumps better!

It does it some around the 20-30 mph also. They said it was the valve body in the transmission. Which in-turn, is the “brain” of the trans.. waiting on part to come in to get it fixed…

    That is NOT the dynamic fuel management system. As much as people like to hate on that system, I’ve been working with these trucks for years and in general you do not notice it working in the new trucks. Any lurching or stuttering seems like something else. And to anyone that still thinks that it is some 4cyl mode, these new trucks don’t go 8 vs 4 anymore. That was the older, “active fuel management” system.

  • @backyardmechanic4540
    @backyardmechanic4540 2 года назад

    Your truck has dynamic fuel management, not active fuel management, active fuel management cuts into 4 cylinder. Dynamic fuel management still shuts off cylinders but it alternates. Pulsar makes a plug and play to turn that off, or you can put it in manual select 9th gear.

    My 2020 has had a stuck lifters and injectors go out with pretty low miles. Lifter issue is a bad design due to dod dfm system. My guess is an injector that hasn't thrown a code yet. Collapsed lifter would probably be worse.

    I jumped my Colorado ZR2 (not on purpose) the first day I took it out. But at about 25k miles my right rear shock started leaking and had it replaced under warranty. I don't think jumping it hurts the shock but exhaust heat. I have the diesel and Chevy did not put any kind of heat shield between the exhaust and the shock. Diesel exhaust gets real hot due to regen mode.

    Chevy would be the company to build a truck that could handle anything off road but make an engine that can’t even get through the 1st break in period..

    Another awesome video Bobby. I wish you would come back out with the camo flex fit hat . That is by far my favorite hat ever . If you came back out with that one I would buy like 10 just to stay stocked up with them .

    An identical wrap to the Colorado but replacing the yellow accents with blue accents would be cool
