These guys don't mess around. I was doing a job in Estes years ago and a cow with calves literally would not let me out of the house. It ran from front door to back as I decided to give her some space. She was so damn smart it amazed me. By the way, a lot faster than you think and I've seen a bull that big jump a six foot fence from standing still like it was nothing. Then there are the moose and their calves...... people just get too close and end up learning the hard way.
Just beautiful....however please be so careful during the rut. They have no control over their bodily functions at that time. They're animals and survive on instinct but I just love them. So majestic.
Hey! Estes Park local here. Its best to keep your bull viewing activities limited to the indoors. This herd is obviously going through the rut, therefore the females and ESPECIALLY the males will be extra aggressive. I would not only set a good example for the kid in this video, but keep the kid away from the elk. And maybe you should watch a few videos of men and women being gored and trampled by these elk.
We felt comfortable where we were standing, and you can clearly see the bull came out of nowhere and caught us by surprise. The children were moved away. We were not provoking the herd, which was I’m gathering you are assuming.
These people were actually fine. They handled it very well. Read the body language of the elk. The people were already outside. The elk saw them & decided to pass anyway. The people didnt confront or approach the elk & they had no assertive body language. (Watch the tourons at Yellowstone for a contrast...). The people were just moving slowly around & talking quietly. Each group knew the other was there. Nobody was worried. No harm, no foul...
@@cindyrissal3628 thank you for this comment, and it’s exactly what I’ve been trying to explain to people. We were just outside the cabin’s door when the herd of cows calmly came by. The bull approached from behind us on the north side of the cabin and we had no idea he was there. Many of us froze, and grandma got the baby out of sight. In no way were we one of those people you see on the news that try to get as close as they can to them.
@@brentbarnetthunting As I watched the video, I had that impression they came upon you unsuspecting. I've had that happen to me just walking along the trail at Grand Canyon, they sneak right up on you without you even being aware of them.
Elk and moose won’t back down from a grizzly? That’s just false ..they fear grizzly..just like man fears grizzly…a full grown male grizz 400 yards away on a ridge will give anyone and anything chills …elk moose bison humans it does not matter
No invadimos el hábitat del animal. Estábamos en el porche de nuestra cabaña cerca de la puerta trasera. Los alces estaban caminando. No es un gran trato.
So beautiful and majestic. The first time I heard them bugle in our yard was amazing.

Agree 100000000000000000000 %
Yes nice at SAFE distance.
So nice to see how the bull cares about his family/harem.
Lol it’s his herd, yes his family

It's so funny when I see these in town videos, they know where they can't be shot at :)
How sad, some people see this and only see a steak, instead of seeing beautiful nature, a gift From God.
One of the most beautiful sites n sounds.
saw a bull and his harem last week in RMNP was and experience to hear and see them bugeling in the hills.
They are so cool! What an experience!

Please . PLEASE, stay away from them. I saw the woman w a child in her arms...it's not worth risking. 🙄

@@StevenTorrey that’s exactly what happened with this bull! Came out of nowhere!
Toooo close, especially during the rut
Bull caught us by surprise, we weren’t provoking him.
Was that bull huge , big , and mature? I didn’t see it
The same folks that take a selfie while backing into the Grand Canyon .
yeah, we understand it's a huge bull.
😂😂I was a little shook up!
And this is how people get effed up by animals. Unless you're a freaking super hero stay the hell away from them. Unless you're eating them haha
I wish I had my bow with me!

They are truly majestic!
You build in their territory, you give them space.
Well, now THAT would have taken my breath away!!
Exactly what NOT to do. 🙄🥴
Okay 👌
At least they are not moose. If that was a bull moose, this would be a breaking news moment.
People don't seem to understand that Elk and Moose won't back down from a Grizzly,...
because they are top on food chain we come below them without our guns lol people wouldnt be able to defend themselves unless they hunt. or combat

No doubt!
They are monsters according to some people.😆😆😆😆😆
Incredible Giant elk
Absolutely! It was an amazing experience.
@@brentbarnetthunting totally is
great catch....that cow at the end looked to have a tracking collar on her...thumbs up from Lake George, NY...! * Happy Holidays to all !!!
And karen lingers ...
I don't understand why those HUGE antlers don't get caught in
the trees and branches.
What an incredible animal! I'd definitely give it a wide birth to make shure it wouldn't "push my shit in" so to speak.
Por que vocês estão invadindo o habitat dos animais!
Por que???????🤮🤢🤮
Respeitem o espaço dos animais, por favor!

..living with nature.
Mom is saying I am going to disrespect the wildlife. Especially the males.
Why the risk????
We were hanging out at the porch of our cabin watching the herd of cows go by. The bull came out of nowhere. We didn’t know he was there.
Back up! Back up!
Humans live too close to the forest.

STOP screaming 😱
It's called "bugling", & the boys do it to attract the girls & to announce to other boys that they've got competition.
A lot of good eatin wandering around on that hill
That's what I was saying!
Say it a few timer more and it might grow
It really was a huge bull 😂 thanks for watching.
