Do you recommend making a flight reservation the day before your appointment or in advance? Also, should you come in with the itinerary and the cancelled flight document as well? My appointment is the day before my flight, would they accept the cancelled flight since it’s cutting it close and not deny me since I technically don’t have a flight anymore? Sorry for so many questions, I just want to do what’s best.
Hi and thank you for the questions. I’m going to try to answer them as I understand them:
1)Your cancelled reservation that you used to make the appointment is fine. No need to make a new one. If you want to make a new one just in case, use American Airlines website as you don’t need to pay to hold a reservation in 24 hours.
2)If you book a new reservation, just bring that new itinerary as long it shows that you are traveling within the two weeks period. Also your initial email when you booked your cancelled flight is also OK as it was your proof of travel. As long as it shows the dates of travel and the confirmation number it’s ok. They are not going to check with the airline if it’s canceled or not. So, either of those are fine to bring as your proof of travel.
3)Since your flight is the day after your appointment your cancelled flight is perfect as it shows your departure is next day. Just print the email they sent you when you initially made the reservation and bring that with you.

Hi im planning to travel to egypt in 1st of july and i just did the cermony and i have the naturalization certificate so i need the American passport so i can travel so my question is how can i book if i dont have the American passport!
You will still book the same way that I explained in the video. For your documents to bring, you will bring your social security, state ID, and your naturalization certificate as proof of citizenship. Let me know if you have additional questions around it.
I will be trying to call tomorrow. Says they are open Saturdays. Had actually got denied at boarding cause my passport was less than 3 months. I have another flight booked, which i don't want to cancel but i can move up if the agency center is in another city. I can show them ive wasted money on my previous trip and that i have the other trip planned as well. Wish me luck 🙏

The proof will be in person, but the itinerary code will be needed over the phone.
Another processing method is to go to the postal office, but for regular processing and not expedited.
Can you cancel your trip or put it on hold when you got issued a new passport? or does State Department Passport Agency require you have to travel as booking schedule?
What you do after receiving your passport is not a concern of the state department. You going through this route indicates that you have a travel emergency. If you don’t have emergency to travel, you shouldn’t go through this route. This just clogs up the line for those who truly need to travel and need the passport urgently.
@@ThePanzoAdventures Thanks for the information bro. I did try to mail my current passport for renewal, but the usps or the passport agency lost my passport. So, now i do not want to take a risk of losing my original birth certificate by mailing it out through the USPS again. In this way, it will help me to protect my original certificate. As you know, how much and how difficult to apply for a replacement of your birth or naturalization certificate if you lose it. It is not ONLY for emergency or urgent travel, but it is also for protecting your important documents.

Passport book is what you get when you apply. If you want passport card you have to select it and it is an additional cost. Passport card is only useful if you plan to travel by land to Canada or Mexico.
How can I bring my birth certificate if I have already applied and expedited and still dont have it? The office has my doxuments.
You can always request your birth certificate from your county of birth. This is a good use case scenario. If anyone has had success going through this route, please provide guidance here.
Me and my family are going to the Caribbean would it be easier to get a passport card versus the book?
Passport card is only for people crossing the US through land border crossing. Example: going from US to Mexico 🇲🇽 and back or to Canada 🇨🇦 and back when driving.

No. There is no need for them to call and confirm.
Does the American Airline's hold only work for direct flights/without using other airline partners for connecting flights? I've tried a few flights and it keeps asking to pay upfront since other airlines are involved.
Thank you for your question. The answer is depends on their partnership with that airline. In that case I will look for the direct flights closer to your location with AA or partners that will allow you to hold.
I have help reservation on AA with their partners such as JAL, BA, Iberia, Qatar, and Etihad.

Thank you for you question. This scenario is one that I don’t have the expertise on. However, it’s not a unique situation and many have also asked this. If anyone on the thread have been successful in getting this done please provide a response to this.

Well what would you do if you were in my situation? I paid for the 7-9 week $60 expedited service back in early April when I applied. It's been past 9 weeks now and it's STILL not here. The website says 'In Process.' Every time I call, they just pretty much give me the run around say say keep waiting. This is annoying! Can I go to an agency and get it same day since the 9 week mark has already past and I still haven't gotten mines yet?
Sorry to hear about your situation. If you have an urgent trip that is coming up in two weeks, you will call the number I provided in the video and provide them with details of your upcoming trip. No need to mention your passport being delayed. Just give them your travel dates and your booking number (refer to the video on how to book one for free).
The downside is that you must have in your possession a copy of your birth certificate or your old passport if you have one and sent it with your passport application. You need evidence of your citizenship. If they have your passport in their possession, you will need to prove that at least when you show up at your appointment.
When you get to your appointment, you can then explain your situation in person. They will check on their system and see your details. Hopefully this helps.
@@ThePanzoAdventures So would you recommend not telling them initially that I still haven't received my passport yet after paying for the expedited service? Would you suggest telling them once I actually arrive at the appointment?

@@DonRashad that would be something you sort out with the passport processing center. Again, this is only if your request is urgent 🚨 and you need to travel in 2 weeks time and don’t want to wait further for the passport to arrive.
Can you also both the passport card and book that same day ?
On your application you have to select if you need just the booklet or the card as well and pay for the fee for both. They will both be printed at the time of your appointment and given to you when you pick up your documents.

I did. I have done this multiple times now.
You did the on hold or bought the ticket and then cancelled?
I just put a ticket on hold just wondering if that’s official enough or if I need to buy & cancel
@@aniyawilliams2123 if you have a confirmation number on your hold ticket with your travel dates, you are good.
That’s all you need.
Just be sure to print the email you got from the airline

You have to have an appointment and confirmation number in order for them to let you in. So, you will have to call and schedule one.

It keeps saying call back later due to high call volumes even though I called first thing when they opened and tried since so many times. And I'm traveling in 2 days. There's a section where they say if you are traveling in less than 5 days, call this number which by the way is the same no. as the generic number for the 14 days of travel.... Don't know what to do!!!

Won't they ask for a ticket receipt? Expedia or tickets on hold don't provide receipts?
The email that you get from Expedia or the airline is your proof as it contains the travel dates granted your dates of travel don’t change and are within the 14 day period.

I have provided all the details in the video based on experience. Follow the exact instructions provided and you will have success. I have done this not once, but numerous times from 2008 until now. None of our passport (new and renewals) have gone through the normal process of waiting for weeks. So, I know what I’m talking about. I only make videos based on experience.
