Thank you for sharing your trip here!! Yes, the legroom is what I am concerned with as well. I am 6'2" and I have had my knees hit soo many times from flying in Economy. Thatvis why I do love Business Class! ☺
It’s amazing how some airline premium economy offerings rival others that are business class. Pushing the boundaries of what’s possible is why I love aviation and it can only get better and better for the customer.
@@johniii8147 depends on airline to be honest. As I said, some of them, like Air China for example, have older 2-2-2 layouts with none of the privacy features that are common on other airlines such as Cathay business 1-2-1 layout.
I was wondering the same when I flew from Los Angeles to Dubai last month ! So many empty seats and people are occupying full rolls.. It made me wonder, and when I asked, It turns out that they dont fully sell a portion of economy class tickets in the A380. This is to account for the long distance and plane weight, to account for the plane making it through the long distance.
Nice review - I’ve not experienced this product thus far only first/business - looks like a great alternative particularly being a daylight flight- and please don’t put your feet/shoes up on the bulkhead - it’s nasty and the crew hate seeing it as well 😃
That really is a top tier premium product. I have only experienced Premium on Virgin (once) and Air Canada (twice), of the two I would say Air Canada was better. However, Emirates is in a different league.
Have to say despite it looking great. And having flown the product - it definitely still felt cramped, and if you sit next to the window and you have a stranger sitting next to you and the person in front of that stranger puts their seat back...good luck getting up and visiting the toilet. It's not easy!
Definitely counterintuitive as you would think they could use that space to house more seats... UNLESS, this is actually a way for the UAE to promote tourism! Think about it: maybe the UAE subsidises the premium business class to compensate the airline for fewer ticket sales per plane. The premium business class attracts curious tourists, who then decide the UAE is a nice place to visit, resulting in more tourist dollars hence more tax revenue. Not sure that's the driving force here, but either way it's definitely a win for the lucky traveler flying this relatively new class. 👍
It really isn't a new class. "Business class" has been evolving over the years. Its all marketing! Just go back to the 80s and 90s. Business class was anything from 34 to 40inches. Emirates early Business class was 45"inches in the late 80s.
Not t sure about that. TC reports that Premium economy has proven extremely popular and that it's mostly people upgrading from economy. PE in general has proven extremely popular in recent years. Certainly wasn't popular on this flight though. I expect most that travel business wouldn't down grade to the product, especially long haul. No flat beds which is key. They kept the same business cabins and took the space from economy.
I found the weirdly shaped Prem Eco headphones on Emirates to be very uncomfortable and did not really seal around the ears properly. I am flying Singapore Prem Eco next year and I am hoping the "proper" shapednoise cancelling headphone will be superior.
You should have called assistance about those headphones.Same thing happpened to me, I pressed the call button and the crew will give you another headphone
Can somebody explain me why airlines tickets are now so expensive? At first they explained us it was because of the Ukraine-Russia war and its impact on oil prices. But it has now been 1 year that the oil prices are much lower than before... So???

Those meals in Emirates Premium Economy look like Business Class meals in many other airlines.

Honestly this is it. It’s better than any domestic business class in United States Europe or Australia.
I would hardly compare this to a true international business class product. Wouldn't take it on a 15 hour flight.

@@johniii8147it’s premium economy 🤦♂️
And the airlines have raised the prices on Premium Economy ridiculously high in many instances, so its no longer a bargain, at all.
It is 2023 unless you are in alternative universe 😂
I guess that will be edited to 2025 the coming January 😂
I Like Emirates Premium Economy Product.Great Trip Report
Flew Gulf air Business class in the 1990s from London to Sydney.Seat pitch was 42"inches
That was a different era of business class 30 years ago.
I flew In premium economy for a work trip between LHR and SFO, was great besides that
Annoyingly economy was empty and I could've had a row to myself!

I totally realized that halfway though and then straight away never did it again. I was so embarrassed

Premium economy really needs to have leg rests like business class, even if you don’t get to lie flat at least your legs can be completely flat
Emirates does !
Those seats look really comfy
Not for a 15 hour flight with no flat bed. They look pretty though.
the upstairs toilet would be first class (@ 7.55 min) ,,,, lower deck is PE seating
Planning on premium economy on my next trip

Pay for business next time then, hope this helps.
Is this a daytime flight the whole way to dubai? Or do they dim cabin for sleeptime?

God I love how smart some of my viewers are! Yea this is so true!

Premium Economy is the most profitable cabin for airlines that have them.
Can I use my laptop in flight? I mean is there a power supply to keep working on it beyond it's battery life?
Yes, there's an AC adaptor between the seats, but that makes it only 1 outlet for 2 people.
This is a pleasant surprise, seeing this gorgeous handsome hottie in my feed 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍
Shut up

Singapore only have the ones that go in your ears. Still cancels the background noise
EK lost tons of money on that flight given how empty it was and so expensive to operate.
I have a 6am flight with Emirates to Athens PE
You should have called assistance about those headphones.Same thing happpened to me, I pressed the call button and the crew will give you another headphone
Would you recommend a seat on the last row ?
It’s very comfortable but does not recline as much as the other seats due to the bulkhead behind.
Can somebody explain me why airlines tickets are now so expensive? At first they explained us it was because of the Ukraine-Russia war and its impact on oil prices. But it has now been 1 year that the oil prices are much lower than before... So???
Because they can
People are willing to pay those prices. When they don't, the price will drop.
Τhis guy do be living in the future…
there's a remote
I am alternative universe!
Air Canada would try to fit 4 people into the space ur in.
Sweet 👍🤙
Great review. Shoes/feet on the bulkhead? Really? Tut-tut
Are you Josh Cahill's twin...🤣
I must be the only one that doesn’t see a problem with the shoes on the bulk head. It’s not like he has them on a seat or anything.
in Istanbul Airport the duty frees stay open 24/7
Shoes on the bulkhead. Nasty. Why didn’t you go into memory wear behind to stretch your feet out more. 🤷
No such thing as too much legroom
So selfish using the dirty shoes hit the board.
Thumbs down for putting your dirty shoes on the wall 👎
