A wonderful song of Sir Albert Hammond, Official of Honor of the Order of the British Empire, that outside everything a number one in the lists of average world: THE FREE ELECTRIC BAND (LA LIBRE BANDA ELECTRICA). A very glad song, amused to interpret with the guitar, as he himself knows to do. In order to know more songs Albert Hammond you must visit its page Web: www.alberthammond.net... Видеоклипы
Just give me bread and water, put a guitar in my hand
'cause all I need is music and the free electric band
Albert you're the greatest!
Wow flashback of the high and cool times of the 70's thanks for the classic post!!!!!!
I love the simple way the audience listened and joined in ...they weren't trying to be cool just reacting to their feelings...the '70s were ok
Super, tolles Lied, danke, danke, danke.
One of my favourites.
YEAAAA !!!.... I LOVE this song .... remember me the nights in DISCO-Club ING-303, 1972-1973, in Bucharest !!!....

I'm 42 now but this was my favorite song when I was like 6 or 7. It was featured on a KTEL album called Fantastic. I ended up going through 2 KTEL copies until I finally found Albert Hammonds albums. Albert Hammond is awesome.
a genius singer songwriter simplistic yet gets to the soul with all his songs
I love these lyrics.
¡¡ Maravilloso !!
this brightened up my day !! :) 5 stars!!!
I heard this song on the radio this morning driving to work in South Africa the sun was out and I instantly fell in love with the lyrics and could totally relate. ;)
This song is a 1-4-5 in the Key of C. Let's see California with the sunshine and the beach or a college in the East???
Lawyer? Doctor? Civil Engineer?? Bread and water with a
guitar in my hand??? Life is full of tough choices.
the whole album is brill,i have it somewhere on vy but my favourite is for the peace of all mankind
This truly is the track of my personal life!
"They organised my life-in-the-system...but all I needed was a music and a free electric band"
Bernard

does anyone remember albert hammonds hit Half a Million Miles from 73? It wasn't huge but I loved it. I wonder if there is any video at all of this song. Please let me know or post please, song is actually good, not enough air play at the time
The facial expression is priceless :-)
This was always my favorite song by him.I first heard this on Ktel's 22 Fantastic Hits! :)
Written by Albert Hammond, "Little Arrows II", Leapy Lee's latest release is now available. For more details. Leapy Lee has his own musician profile Page on Facebook. Just do a search for Leapy Lee and you can 'become a fan'.
@nikkibrand I fell in love with this song when I was 6 or 7 as well because of my parent's copy of Fantastic(which they still own to this day).
Brillllllliant
me too!
Me, humbly ....very humble...am no other than most of my friends, a kid-of-people-who-made-it, and so DAMN OPPRESED their offspring of what TO DO THAT TOO AND NOTHING ELSE,with no humble clear-view about the boy nor the girl...
Blinded well-mend-but LIFE-UNREALl-stuff.
Get over it!
Bernard
how true
He does sound like John, now you mention it, but looks wise I would say Allan from the Hollies.
albert hammond jr. in 20 years - didn't fall far from the tree - awesome - but the clapping groupies do look stoned...
this song is in my english scholl book ^^
How did they do the fade out at the end then? If he really did it, then he's the first in history. Even the Beatles couldn't do that.
@nkotani101 He was born in London though !
He's not Sir Albert Hammond, though he does have an OBE. He hails from Gibraltar but his songs seem to be mostly about California.
He didn't break a string, its like that on purpose, that's how he get's the wonkiness in the song and this was a live event on the German Music show DISCO, from the 1970's.
He looks like a brother from Bruce Springsteen in younger Years.
Spielt ganz Super weiter, obwohl ihm ne Saite gerissen ist ;-) Cool...
@Geist2806 When you were typing that, did it make sense to you? Don't get me wrong, i love this song, but it was obviously lip sunk with the original...and i'm sure a broken string wouldn't ever add 'wonkiness' to a song...unless it was pete townshend. and in that case it would just add bad-ass hand bleeding.
ja in meinem buch auch
I want this song! downloaded can anny 1 help me?
limewire ( dont tell anyone tho!)
ha well spotted
how did you find this?
Se le arranco la primera cuerda\ look the first string hahah
he broke a string and kept on jammin
when they say "they both support the war" which war are they talking about?
You'd think they could've done another take since he broke his stringsand all....
people didn't jump around like crazy people the way they do today. this is how most people behaved. you can't hear the band if you're carrying on louder than they are.
Watch im break a guitar string.
someone teach me the chords please
Has he broke a string here?
They are talking about the Vietnam War.
They didn't need to do another take since this is lip synched. Sounds exactly like the studio version which is almost impossible to do live. It also fades at the end which really is impossible to do live.
@Sparrowhawk101
maybe they're just too stoned ;)
lol. . .
think hes broken about 3 strings on his guitar!!!
Och das hat Geschichte geschrieben
A gig full of woman, now thats my kinda gig.
Great
Hammond looks and sounds a lot like John Lennon doesn't he?
das ist kein malheur wenn eine saite reißt, wenn man nur zum playback spielt
mediocre talent
