- In todays video I install EBC slotted rotors along with EBC yellow stuff brake pads. This setup is 100X better than the stock setup. I am very pleased on how my new setup performs. Part numbers are listed below. Have any questions? Comment below!

I just closed on my house in FL and I’m a HOMEOWNER! How many likes can we get??
TTorres1183 what part of Florida ? I’m in Delray Beach. Also, where did you jack the car up from ? I thought you could only do it from the 4” support brace where the jack stands go? Thanks
What part of Florida. I’m in south Florida. It would be cool to meet up some time and go over our cars.
What’s up Tyler. How’d you come to choose these brakes?
Congrats :-)
Congrats dude
The idea of sitting the caliper on the jack is so effective, yet simple! Why didn't I ever think of that? A lot better and easier than bending a coat hanger.
New install! Automatic like 👍
support you always bro
Im on 22k on stock breaks love them.
Very Cool, with all the other Mod it only makes sense to upgrade the brakes as well :-)
With all the other goodies you got on the beast, I say this is another cleannnn addition brothaa 👊
Thanks!
Nice upgrade. I love my slotted and drilled rotors. Dealership quoted me $125 a rotor for the stock rotors and I got my slotted and drilled ones from R1 concepts even zinc coated for $140. I love the bite with the new rotors and new OEM pads. Very grabby now lol. Congrats on your new home as well.
Thanks!
Im a delivery driver so I go 60k miles a year. I bought my 2018 civic SI in december so when it hits 60k this december Im gonna give it a good christmas gift of an upgraded clutch, turbo, brakes, and I think thatll do for a while :)
Happy modding!

I've got 80000 on mine and the brakes are still good. But I'm thinking about upgrading too... thanks for the video
Thanks for watching
Looks pretty badass !
Thanks!
Wilwood has a BBK of 6 piston for 10th gen Honda Civic
So those phillips head bolts are actually JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard), slightly different angle and depth of the grove. Anyway, when i swapped my rotors out at around 30k, i could not break that bolt by hand. Had to use an impact driver...
for the record, we drive the exact same car and build
No need to clean the rotors with brake cleaner?
bro, that ebc rotor disc will fit to our factory brakes& calipers? why yellow? not red
How do you work on your rear breaks without using HMM from a dealerships tool? I heard leaving the EPB off while working on it, and leaving the car in netural; would damage the rear EPB/Caliper. Are you doing the manual unlock workaround to remove the actuator?
Hey Tyler, do you think you'd be able to post an update on these after you've worn them down a bit? Very interested to see how they bite after a few thousand miles. Also very interested to see how long that black holds up! These would look SICK on my black Si.
What jack are you using?
1.5ton jack from harbor freight
I bought the same pads for the front, I had trouble fitting them on. They listed my pads as “EBC 12+ Acura RDX 3.5 Yellowstuff pads” with the same part number DP41896R. Any tips?
Note: the issue for me was that the sides of the brake pads were much wider so it didn’t fit/sit into the caliper bracket
When I saw this I thought it was the big brake kit
What’s that little screw on the rotor for? Is that just to hold the rotor while you work on it with the caliper off?
Is there a weight difference between the oem rotor and ebc rotor?
Just so you know, Akebono Brakes is who makes the pads for Honda so other than the nice yellow backing plates, you likely didn't really get better friction material.
Otherwise, I can't wait for anything rear disc for the Civics as the stock rotors seem to be some truly poor quality steel and rust up (Surface patina) every humid night.
EBC yellow is miles better than stock. Completely different compound
Where on Florida will you be in? Cant wait
Where did you get these from ? And I have the Base 1.5t Cvt tuned on e30 , can I use the same parts as yours?
You should be able to
And what website you got these from?
I believe it was MAPERFORMANCE
The part # for the rotors you went with are for the accord/ilx im guessing because they’re 12.3 inches, no issues with clearance or anything? I know youre on Voxx
No issues at all.
The Si uses Accord brakes. The lesser trim Civics have even smaller rotors.
Hey TTorress, so how did you find out the part number for your Si? I have a 2019 Civic Si and im not sure if the same EBC yellow stuff part number applies. Im guessing it does through right? So if I want to look for brake pads for my Si, I would look for honda accord part?
I contacted EBC directly to make sure I had to correct part numbers.
😍😍
Great video! Did you see a difference in the brakes?
Huge difference in stopping power
TTorres1183 Thanks!
can i use these on stock rotors?
Yessir
I think it’s Time for a big brake kit not sure stock would do it with the power you are going for
This new setup is plenty!
Plenty stupid
You should do the math
did you get the recent recall?
No, talk to me?
@@TTorres1183 Whirling Noise from Engine misfire detected on certain cylinders. Get a 6yr unlimited mileage warranty on powertrain. Won't apply to your car though since it's modded so much.
@@TTorres1183 Warranty Extension: whirling noise from engine. Possible valve train damage. Warranty extended to 6yrs unlimited mileage. NO ACTION REQUIRED. Recall will cover of replacement of camshafts, rocker arm assemblies, or spark plugs.
Thats the letter I got from Honda.
How much HP did this add?
3.14hp
@@TTorres1183 nice
Good videos but I do wonder, why not just save the money you spend on modding it and buy a Type R 🤷♂️
G J not all people like the Look of the Type R tooo Rice out am one of them I got the money to buy one. But if I get a civic I’ll be the SI but right now am good with my 2010 M3
