- A unit that is used for both attack and defense, with high damage and long range, the Hand Cannoneer. But which civ has the best? Here are my top 6 picks for the best hand cannonners in game.
Some of the civs bonuses:
Bohemians: Hand Cannoneers are available in the Castle Age.
Burgundians: Hand Cannoneers have +25% attack and bonus damage.
Georgians: Hand Cannoneers receive 15% less damage when fighting form higher elevation.
Hindustanis: Hand Cannoneers have +1 melee and +1 pierce armor
Italians: Hand Cannoneers cost -20%.
Koreans: Blacksmith armor upgrades are free.
Portuguese: Hand Cannoneers cost 20% less gold.
Spanish: Hand Cannoneers fire 18% faster.
Tatars: Hand Cannoneers deal 25% more damage when fighting from higher elevation.
Turks: Hand Cannoneers have +25% hit points.
Britons: Hand Cannoneers are trained 10% faster.
Teutons: Hand Cannoneers are more resistant to conversion.
Turks: Hand Cannoneers are trained 25% faster.

Kind of crazy that the Bohemians can get a unit as strong as the Hand Cannoneer in Castle Age, AND it moves faster.
No wonder they're a top 10 (?) Arena civ.

What about Italians? They have cheaper Chemistey, and Hand Canons are cheaper as well 20%. So for enemy 4 HC they can field 5 HC - its basicly Turkish and Burgundian bonus together.
With 1000 equal resources, they get 2 extra generic HC. I tested them with the rest and always lost.
It's an ok bonus but the others are better in practice. Maybe I should have done a mention though.
@@DemonAgeOfEmpires2-wf8lv Wierd. Theoreticaly in HC vs HC Turkish bonus doesnt matter, because with 4PA HC deals 13 DMG - for 40, or 50 HP its still 4 direct shots. Maybe scale should be larger? 1000 res is just 10 units. Higher HP will matter for missing shots, and HC miss a lot.

Hindustani handcannoneers are also incredible against siege. Regular handcannoneers do a lot of damage to siege units but with the extra range, the hindustanis outrange most siege units
Exactly. Very hard to counter when playing against them.
Yes, IMHO, they take top spot. Range is king in aoe.

castel age HC are great but for imp age the best hand cannoneers are hindustanis bcz of their +2 range

In a way yes, since chemistry is free and the gold miners work 20% faster...
Italian are cheaper.
Also, you accidentally copied the Turk description for the Burgundians. But there's nothing that can be done about it now, obviously.
Unfortunately uploading daily, makes mistakes easier...

Well I wasn't far off but I would rate the 5th place better than Turks because more accurate HC is better than 20% more HP for me.
@@raptorhacker599 it's situational, accuracy can hit knights more effectively, but in mass numbers generic HC can also hit effectively because accuracy doesn't matter when hitting a bulk of units. I tested it and works almost the same.
More hp is always great no matter the situation.
