I have to add this for anyone who needs to find the battery access point, which is UNDER THE HOOD. 1. Remove the plastic engine cover. There are only a few bolts to loosen it. 2. On the back firewall of the engine, there is a battery jack point! If your vehicle is a US left hand drive, the jacking point is on the left if you are standing and facing the engine. If you are a UK driver, or right hand side drive, the jacking point is on the right if you are standing and facing the engine. 3. You may have to bend down and look straight toward the back of the engine area, underneath the cowling, on the opposite side from the windshield motor and you will see the jack point, but it is there.
You guys are a hoot- thanks for that info. I have a Jaguar S Type here in England and cannot figure out why there is no obvious jumping point if the battery dies. Something you have to consider as winter approaches! Thanks again guys- all the best from over the pond.
Take a paperclip open up the fuse box take the starter relay out and then with the Paperclip stick it in the hot + to ignition + ( relays come in different shapes and sizes to look at the side of the relay for the diagram on which ones to jump) and it should start but once it starts pull it out do not leave it in
It's pretty ridiculous that there's no positive jump point under the hood. When the trunk's full I'd rather dig my jump box and drop cord out of the garage than hassle w/it. Smh

There is a trunk lock right above the rear license tags where the key fits to open the trunk

You don’t have to do all that there’s a faster n cleaner way to start a jag from the hood it’s located at the fuse engine box
