An amazing result from such a small item that people just chuck into landfill every day. Thanks for sharing, a truly inspirational build. I have just been taking loads of lighters apart for bits to add to my builds.
Thanks! It's amazing what a little bit of "trash" can be made into at small scales. I'll definitely be taking apart more lighters as I encounter them 👍
Yes! Scrap builds are great, and - as you did - saving the crap, dust and offcuts is a great source of filler, shims and bracing, without using more 'good' plastic.
Your work inspires others . While reading the comments below, you now have many people taking apart lighters to make a robot . That is awesome. When I have time , I will try this myself. Great work, SOOOO KOOOOOLLLLL .
Oh, Ben... Such a jeweler's grade job... I got a headache just watching it. Oh. No. I'm just hungover. I love Flick. He is trying to look so manacing. Which is so cute, considering his size :) You should make him an enemy (I would suggest dirty green one) and leave them posed in forever fight. Absolutely delightful video. Thanks!!! Thanks! I like the idea of making him a foe to stand off against. That`ll make the pose easier to decide as well. I don`t remember singing anything so I`ll have to go back and rewatch it haha. I was recorded the voiceover at 2am so some of it may have gotten a bit loopy.
I could tell this was your first time dismantling a lighter of this kind. VERY 50's sci-fi look to him. Thumbs Up. I bet there are a ton of lighter parts that would look great on your cars for cables, exhaustrs, lasers etc. They are a great source of all kinds of amazing little tiny bits of tin, brass, plastic and rubber.
@@BPCustomCreations Yep, That's the hard part. I'd never buy one just to break it with out using it first and not too many occasions where I need one.
