Great series as ever! Doing this itinerary on Iona next June and can't wait to go to a lot of the places you've vlogged about. Also great to see the food options. It's been 9 years since I've been on P&O and now I can't wait!
Love the fun videos and always love that you show the FULL menus which no other cruise vlogger I’ve seen does! I’m a bit of a fussy eater, don’t touch seafood, fish or mushrooms which appear throughout most menus, so great to see the full menus and what I could pick 👍🏻
Hi Boy's, thanks for the tour of the viking village! We decided to visit the viking museum in the Town, was really good! Glad you enjoyed your cruise, Iona looked as beautiful as ever ❤️
Had the most amazing week on Iona & in the Fjords & thank the Cruise Monkeys for so many hints & tips. You guys are the best😊. Awaiting our call now to disembark..missing you already Iona but we'll be back ❤
We did this exact same Viking tour last year, but went to the farm first and then the museum and church. We definitely missed out as most the farm buildings were shut including the boat house. We were pretty underwhelmed, but looks like it is much improved now.
Been watching your vlogs since the very beginning, and you have got us through some very dark days, as you know our cruise is just 3 days away. You have once more got us excited and ready to go again.
Wasn't it a wet and miserable day! We did the same excursion as you but we went to the Viking Village first. I thought both the village and the museum were interesting. I wish we had more time in the museum. I felt a bit rushed and there was so much to see. Glad you enjoyed the Olive Grove. So did we!
Yeah, we think we lucked out on this excursion! Definitely could have done with maybe another half to an hour! Yes, and it was mikes better than our Arvia one 😀
Just about to get off the Iona now guys after our one week Norwegian cruise. The food was fantastic on this cruise, unlike our previous cruise on Iona. It's been excellent all round!
Never been to Haugesund either, but may have sailed by there at night on Hurtigrutin at night in August! Sorry it was raining, but you did get some good video through the rainy windows. The shell damage from WWII is interesting. The Viking Village looks like a great place to visit-nice filming/editing. Yes, ship excursions mean you don’t have to think! Meet-up with FB group was a good idea. The kabobs on the chain looked interesting…I love baklava! Bad that you had reservations to the show and couldn’t get in. Lovely sunset. Hope the shingles have calmed down.😢
Its a typical Norwegian Coastal town, lots of people just went for a walk to town, but we really enjoyed the village! Baklava is the best! :) Thank you, still painful but getting there :)
@@CruiseMonkeys so do you have to have the my holiday app on your phone to book it while your in terminal , I had to go to reception last time for them to put the app on my phone 😊
Ah cool! Good to hear it was a good place to work even if not great pay! We’re back there next month with our group cruise and looking to do the tractor train or HoHo bus!
Hi! Yes we went to the keel and cow which is a specialty restaurant the breakfast was a new thing so we wanted to give it a go. Inclusive options such as the MDR Quays and Horizon are available. We just thought hey, this is new let’s try it 👌🏻
@@CruiseMonkeys Thanks for the reply and info! Going to be cruising into and 2x out of Southampton next spring. Hope to try P&O as well. I heard it’s gotten easier for US to book P&O.. Would like to try Marella, too but there seems to be an issue with the insurance needed? 🙂
Interesting but not surprised by your experience in the 710 Club, we received a death threat after asking to see a drinks menu. By far the worse experience I’d had on a cruise ship!
@@CruiseMonkeys I know, we really should have made a complaint but it’s difficult when people are from different cultures and that may be acceptable elsewhere.

This was the exact same excursion we did in June 2022. And in the same order. Great to sea it again.
Fab! We really enjoyed it!

Thank you! We’ll keep showing menus as we feel it’s useful glad it’s helped you out, there’s something for everyone

It was a really nice excursion 👍

Awwww! Yeah we’ve heard a few mixed reviews since putting up the video. Such a shame it’s not consistent.
Been watching your vlogs since the very beginning, and you have got us through some very dark days, as you know our cruise is just 3 days away. You have once more got us excited and ready to go again.
Awwww thank you! Sorry we missed this as we were away but hopefully you are having a fabulous time on your cruise? 😀
@@CruiseMonkeys done and dusted just got back yesterday, nice to be back, and we did have a good time, nice to be back.

Brilliant videos very informative love them
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed! 👍🏻❤️
Great vlog guys , when we where on board we couldn’t get in there all week , but great to see it 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, you have to book the Olive Grove as soon as you board, a little tip - jump on the WiFi while in the terminal! :)
@@CruiseMonkeys so do you have to have the my holiday app on your phone to book it while your in terminal , I had to go to reception last time for them to put the app on my phone 😊
Just love the Olive Grove 😊
It was a nice meal 😀
You guys are so funny! 😂 The Olive Grove looked amazing! Sad we missed it on our cruise ☹️
Aww thanks haha! Oh you need to go back to try it then ;)
@@CruiseMonkeys Oh no! What a shame to have to book another Cruise! 😏
ey my town :)
worked at the viking farm teaching archery and fishing with the kids, great place to work tho pay was kinda crap hehe
Ah cool! Good to hear it was a good place to work even if not great pay! We’re back there next month with our group cruise and looking to do the tractor train or HoHo bus!
You make excellent vlogs, quick question, how did you get into the Keel and Cow for brekkie?
Thank you! They now offer it as an option - there is a small charge but was very quiet when we went so easy to get in to.
Great video. Question: Were you having breakfast and dinner in specialty restaurants? I noticed prices on the menus? Thanks Guys!
Hi! Yes we went to the keel and cow which is a specialty restaurant the breakfast was a new thing so we wanted to give it a go. Inclusive options such as the MDR Quays and Horizon are available. We just thought hey, this is new let’s try it 👌🏻

I recommend viking adventures rib boat tour!
Yes, heard good things about that!
Another great video shame about the weather but it did clear up.
Glad you enjoyed it! Luckily it did stay mostly dry for the excursion 😀
I'm going to have breakfast at keel and cow next week as I didn't know they did it 😊
Yeah, think it's only started earlier in the year - its a minimal charge and quite a nice relaxed breakfast :)
Another great episode fellas 👍 I’m already feeling a bit sad for the final instalment next week
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it! Don’t worry, even though this series is coming to an end the next one is just around the corner ❤️
Interesting but not surprised by your experience in the 710 Club, we received a death threat after asking to see a drinks menu.
By far the worse experience I’d had on a cruise ship!
That’s shocking 😯 TBH we won’t bother next time!
@@CruiseMonkeys I know, we really should have made a complaint but it’s difficult when people are from different cultures and that may be acceptable elsewhere.
Do you book now for 710 club?
Yes, you book, but they do walk ins too, so make sure you get in the right queue if you book! 🤣
Another great video. Did they say if the needle had moved at all since the church was built, you know just to give us a countdown to Doomsday :)
Thank you! They didn’t say, but did say the rock was chopped away to stop it touching… so if could be anytime 🤣
I love it when you two are drunk😂
I admire your stamina
We usually need a holiday after a cruise! :)
