- Join us in our final episode of our P&O Iona Norwegian Fjords cruise series!
This is our final day onboard the beautiful P&O Iona as we set sail for a 7 night Norwegian Fjords. On the Norway Cruise we will call at Stavanger, Olden, Hellesylt for Geirangerfjord and Haugesund.
After a late start and packing - we head to on of P&O Iona's Main Dining rooms for lunch. After this we have a look around the ship and before we know it, it is time for afternoon tea. The theme today is definitely cruise food!
We paid extra for afternoon tea in The Epicurean. Eric Lanlard's Afternoon Tea is a special treat and we thoroughly recommend the experience. This is not your traditional afternoon tea!
The evenings meal is in the P&O Iona's steakhouse, the Keel and Cow, where we both have the T-bone!
Before we know it, bed is calling and its time to end our P&O Iona Norwegian Fjords cruise, as tomorrow we wake up having arrived back in Southampton.

We paid £997pp for our P&O Norwegian Fjords cruise and booked with / martinsholidayvillage - This was a Select fare and included Parking and £210 onboard credit. We are bananas about cruising! We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini cruise on P&O Aurora. Making videos of our cruises and sharing our experiences has become our hobby - the complete video is filmed and edited on an iPhone. We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. On a cruise you will normally find us wondering around the ship taking in the atmosphere (and working our way through the cocktails).

I have watched you boys for years (since before the lock down). I can not understand why you do not have more subscribers ? You give ship tours, port day activities, review the MDR , Premium dining and cabin tours. You boys are my favorite cruisers to watch even if I'm in the US and do not cruise Europe often.

Without sounding condescending,it's an absolute joy to watch you two....unlike some other vloggers.....as lovely as they may be,I can't bear poor table manners. Some people put their cutlery in one hand while they're speaking and then hold their knives like a pen and then talk with their mouths full.

I’ve just watched the whole fjords series tonight, I’m going in August and you boys have put my mind at ease, I was stressing thinking I won’t be planned properly but you have just shown me it’s a go with the flow sort of cruise, I now cannot wait it looks ace!
It’s kinda nice to have an idea of what you want to do but honestly just going with the flow always works for us, you’re on holiday at the end of the day, enjoy it 😉👌🏻

Ha ha, yes we used on onboard credit and bought a few things in the shop, too, and it did feel like we were getting something for nothing.😂 Of all the eating places on the ship, I enjoyed Keel and Cow the most, although I was never hungry enough to have the t-bone steak...

I know your Vlog's take hours to make and edit, but I would love to see one showing your home town and the harbor that sparked your interest in ships. I know you briefly touched on it in one of your old videos, but I would like more... I went to Wales for 2 weeks last year and I'm going again in June. You are so much fun to follow on your adventures. Please give us some Vlogs on Wales.
Unfortunately I really don’t have that much time. I’m struggling with the vlogs so much so it’s just not possible. It’s only the cruise aspect that makes vlogging appealing we couldn’t do other vlogs like lifestyle/shopping hauls/day to day stuff it’s just not something that interests us.
I’m sure there are plenty of other people who vlog wales Pembrokeshire etc that’s the great thing about youtube it’s so versatile and varied. ❤️

We found the food good, others have said it’s not as good 🤷♂️

Love your channel! On our first ever cruise in November on Aurora 🎉 can I be nosey and ask where you got your cases from? They look so roomy and I like the fact they don't split into two sides ❤
They are just the extra large ones from Tesco. ‘IT’ luggage, nothing special and stocked in most shops like Argos, Matan etc. don’t think they were more than around £50

Interesting afternoon tea! Very nice Scottish gift pack. Sorry it was raining on your way home. No lobster? How much extra £ did the rib-eye set you back? Bread and cheese from Keel and Cow look yummy! Always sad to pack on the last day.
Yeah, it was a bit of an experience, but think we prefer a more traditional afternoon tea! The stead was around £15 from memory, not too bad and much cheaper than on land - tasted so good but maybe shouldn't have eaten in the day! hahaha
I have never sailed on apno cruise and truly appreciated your vlogs. That cheese you had the last evening called Triumph is a similar cheese available in the US? Does it tastes much like brie? I look forward to more of your videos goodbye from California for now

Hahahhahaha! Oh we were stuffed and it’s why we’re on constant diets at home (and it’s not blooming working ha!).
I lost 40 quid on the machines in the casino. It said transferring to bank and yet I never received it. I emailed p and o who said I had to fill a form out through carnival. Yet the form Was a ball ache and I think referred more to the actual casino rather than the machines. I gave up and let them have it. My mother in law never got hers either. So that's 70 quid off 2 people gained and I'm guessing we can't be the only ones. X

Ohhh that’s a very difficult one as each ship is different and may depend what you are after! We love small ships like Aurora, traditional ones like QM2, family ones like Anthem of The Seas and Iona/Arvia too. Detonations, Norway always nice, our most visited! Caribbean great in for winter sun! Iceland amazing and the med is lovely too! So much choice!

You’ll have a blast on Arvia! Swim up bar for sunset is a must be place! Try mizuna too, vegan menu but very tasty!

Honest opinion guys please, P&0 Arvia or MSC Virtuosa??. From Southampton to canaries and back.
Both are great value for money! Virtuosa has the water park which is fun even for us big kids, and the ropes are fun (Arvia has ropes too, but chargeable). Entertainment around the ship, P&O would probably be the winner, as well as the food venues available - both free and the speciality restaurants on P&O are cheaper and better than MSC's. MSC can be very busy, as too can Arvia but Arvia does have a adult only pool area. Both can carry over 6000 passengers at full capacity (with 3rd and 4th passengers in rooms). MSC can have some amazing deals and beat P&O prices, but if pricing and itinerary is similar, we'd definitely choose Arvia.

Iona xmas cruise to Hamburg etc in December 2024, then IONA again August 2025 norwegian fjords. Going to book Arvia in 2026 for canaries and back. 👍

Hey there, Just a tip.. if you do buy a shirt or item in the shops at full price, (and haven’t worn it yet i.e the item remains new, either in the original box or unworn if clothing) if at any time during the cruise that item goes on sale.. Bring your receipt to the shop and ask for the difference to be refunded to your Cruise Account. I often will see items at the onset of the cruise that is available in the size, colour etc. that i want at full price.. I’ll just buy it (not wear it) and wait for the sales to happen.. once they do i go back and ask for the lower price. I’ve had a 90% success rate doing this.. even on a piece of jewelry I purchased once.. the item went on sale for 20% off.. i went back and got the lower price.
