  • It’s not easy devising a videogame villain. You can’t just give someone a skull for a hat and call it a day. Unless you’re Mortal Kombat. Hence some cgames hoose instead to just adapt real people, which has the added bonus of letting them lampoon public figures. Consider seven of those and subscribe for a video like this weekly!

      @@runenorderhaug7646 precisely!
The AC3 characters from history were all serviced well enough to maintain that godlike status and hero worship required of the USA's founding story, though they did subvert a bunch of the traditional stuff, they did also maintain the myths and lies. Paul Revere's ride was given to Revere as a passenger on the PC horse for example, whereas the real event was much less important and dramatic and could have been literally just a pub crawl with a non-urgent message, or not have ever really happened.
The same people who couldn't handle seeing the myths of the USA's founding being revealed as false or exaggerations also could never tolerate any depiction of Marx that didn't involve destroying lives and businesses or one of Darwin that didn't involve slaughtering babies.
I wish I was exaggerating, but, have you seen what the the "GOP" has been doing lately?

Another villain taken from real person that's related to E.A. is Damon Riccitello, one of the Villains in No More Heroes III and a minor antagonist in Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.
He shared his surname with John Riccitello who used to be C.E.O. of E.A., and Damon also shared that position in the game.
Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda51 clearly still hated what E.A. and John Riccitello had done to their Shadows of the DAMNED which was published by E.A.
The end product changed so much compared to what Suda51's and Mikami Shinji's initial vision because of John Riccitello's inputs and involvements.
Damon's surname was changed a bit in No More Heroes III as Ricotello probably as an attempt to avoid legal actions as the game is larger in scale, hence the reference could be much easier to infer.

My main issue with the idea of house being based on Walt Disney is that it has been confirmed numerous times that disney being in stasis is just a rumor. And while he may have had some pretty screwed up views mostly indicative of the time he lived, He was very much a future thinker. If you've ever been to epcot center that was his vision for a world where no one would ever need to drive or fear for their living situation. Originally Disney world was designed to fund the city of epcot rather than it simply being an attraction at the park. Think of how different things might have been if he had succeeded and his brother who he left the project too wasn't a coward
