I believe when the apes were evolving into humans, the in between part is still around. Not some supernatual, but a distant cousin/subspecies to us.

I have seen casts of supposed Big Foot imprints. Being an outdoorsman, I have seen nearly all paw print casts and what I saw was not like anything that I know of. It was made by an old timer in north Idaho, where the forest is dark and thick. I can't remember what the Kootenai Tribe (my employer at the time) called them but they both honored & revered BF and were also scared to death of it. I do remember the, if I recall correctly, that the Chief, the Medicine woman, or both together were the only ones that were allowed to be in contact and speak to Big Foot.
I'm not sure if I believe in BF but I'm also not a denier that it doesn't exist. And to those who say we haven't found any bones of them. I will say this, if Big Foot is as intelligent as has been said, then they are covering or placing the deceased body of the Big Foot in a way we will never find Big Foot.
Of what I've seen and heard at night in the woods I definitely will not say that Big Foot doesn't exist!

Many years before I've even seen the severed head of a Yeti that was on display on a traveling sideshow too.
I asked the hunters why they did not take the Yeti's whole body and the hunters told me that the Yeti's body was too large to take down from the mountain and that is why they took the Yeti's head.
