Ondieki's argument that the reason we have numerous political parties sprouting up by the day, which are ideologically baseless, is because we're a young democracy, is a complete fallacy. Just look at our neighbours Tanzania, a younger republic than ours. But they predominantly have had only two strong poilitical parties.
It is the same argument where a 60 year old grandfather is deemed to young to retire from politics and is termed as youthful.

Aukot had Ondieki for breakfast here. No sense in this guy's head at all. He is too full to think.
Voter registration is mainly used for logistical purposes by mapping voters to specific polling stations. This is what has enabled successive electoral bodies (from ECK, to IIEC to IEBC) improve the voter experience. The data is crucial for the determination of how many streams, ballot boxes, electoral officers etc..... Good idea from Dr Aukot, but it is not practical.
Same process is done via the National census every 10 years. The ID is the only document required at the polling station. Fingerprints are also captured during the process of acquiring an ID.
@@kijana2030 While census provides a useful data set to commence planning on a larger scale, specific details such as expected number of voters per polling station ensured IEBC could sufficiently plan for a seamless voting process. The specificity of polling stations narrowed down to details in the voter register greatly shortened the turnaround time in 2022, compared to say 2007.

The canned response to logical arguments in this country is to say hiyo ni kizungu mingi ama that's in theory. This conversation was just comedic and did not progress the country forward or even move the needle.

Ruto does not use and dump, infact its easier for him to reward his supporters (MAINLY LEADERS) than betray them... Why do you think alot of azimio leaders flocked to UDA once they won, they didn't even vote for him and yet they knew they stood a chance to get something better.... Aukot is a voter just like you and me, he was not in the campaigns for UDA like the likes of ndidi nyoro or ichungwa, his vote was equal to that of mama mboga and boda guy who hage got zero from Ruto..... As for criticizing the govt why would you prefer that Aukot stick with Ruto and be his sycophant, I'd rather he criticized the govt using facts of course which he does on a regular basis.
If Ondieki believes UDA is gaining in Nyanza, he should test the waters by asking Caroli Omondi to resign from Suba South seat, move to UDA and contest again!!¡!!!! Then I will be convinced UDA is gaining momentum. He is actually The regional cordinator for Raila bashing in South Nyanza not UDA

Raila is the reason for a lot of good in this country - the freedom of speech, a wonderful constitution that's being butchered by Ruto etc. Do you hate him because he isn't Kikuyu? Kenya is under judgement because your tribesmen can't see beyond tribe. Shame on you.

@@TiredKenyan It's Jomo Kenyatta who introduced the culture of tribalism and everyone else just followed suit. Explain how TZ managed homogeneity - one person (Nyerere) emphasized it in the beginning and everyone else followed suit. Facts.
