Great bit. Comedy aside, if you haven’t signed up for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, do it. We buy a lot of books for our daughter (18 months) but something about that one that comes from the mailbox gets her sooooo danged excited and we immediately have to read it like 5 times. It’s awesome.
Our son is 3 and is still getting a book a month through her program.
My son is turning 5 and devastated that Dolly’s books won’t come anymore.
I’ll probably keep stuffing one in a month just to keep him excited.

My grandma always told me reading the newspaper could improve your reading level so when I was a kid I’d get up every morning & have some chocolate milk in a coffee cup with my grandpa reading the fun parts of the newspaper like the comics & obituaries but I’ll be damn if I can’t read like one of those college professors today. The obituaries were only fun because my grandparents would have me look for family & friends like where’s Waldo.

I am intrigued by but generally don’t prefer catchphrases. The best I’ve seen, but which ultimately I don’t really like, is Jim Gaffigan‘s female audience voice. He’s able to accomplish a lot with it, which I’m impressed by. “We’re having a good time“ is really growing on me.

I feel like these are all the rants I go on and people just stare at me like I’m crazy. Don’t get me started on Jack Sprat. They say he can eat no fat…but draw him super skinny. It sounds like he’s the overweight one who is on a diet and his wife is thin and trying to bulk up.
