    THANK YOU FOR THIS POST!
    Charlene Mitchell appears:
    7:23
    29:36
    52:18
    Charlene Alexander Mitchell joined the CPUSA at age 16 in 1946, rose to be on its Central Committee, recruited a large number of young Black comrades into the Party, headed the defense committee to free Angela Davis "and All Political Prisoners," is distinguished as the FIRST Black woman to run for US president (of any political party). She resigned the Party in a large exodus in 1991.
    Some gems:
    "I am for a Left that says that the end of racism is part and parcel of the beginning of a revolutionary movement in this country. It can't be done without it."
    "It's never easy to be a Communist. It's never easy to be a revolutionary. To be a revolutionary means you have to have a certain kind of dedication to a movement - to a principle - which says, first of all, that you want to overturn a capitalist system. That does not take place with some ease or comfort. That takes place because you know you have to go out there every day and organize, that you have to mobilize people in that process." - Cde. Charlene Alexander Mitchell

    Just goes to show the level of understanding your average Libertarians have. They are completely reliant upon a system they do not even understand.

    Can all channels in left-YT please start educating everyone about both the: (1) difference between right-authoritarian vs. right-libertarian; & (2) difference between left-authoritarian vs left-libertarian? It’s long overdue. People aren’t cattle or sheep: They will understand if we educate them.
    Though we need to educate (& learn) about all the nuance.

      @@freelance_commie Sure. First off, ggl the main terms I used and you’ll find the info to research this. You’ll find excellent sites that distinguish the four corners, and they list main texts from each of the four separate corners

      @@freelance_commie Here’s what authoritarianism means, and remember it’s on a spectrum- with libertarianism being its opposite. Authoritarianism requires physical violence, or the threat of violence, which overrides the consent of persons. And violence in self-defense against provoked violence is not authoritarian.
      So any punitive aspects of the state (criminal laws, prisons, wars not in self-defense) are authoritarianism. It’s that simple.

    • @user-wl2xl5hm7k
      @user-wl2xl5hm7k Год назад +2

      @@freelance_commie I consider any entity that uses physical violence or threat of physical violence authoritarian. Though states are particularly authoritarian in that they legally monopolize violence within their jurisdictional borders against all people, and use police to carry it out. They also jail their own people. Taxes are used to fund this operation. This is especially oppressive to the working class.
      They’re also authoritarian in their stance to foreign citizens: the more non-provoked violence against foreigners (wars), the more authoritarian.
      Real communism does not include any state authoritarianism.

    • @user-wl2xl5hm7k
      @user-wl2xl5hm7k Год назад +2

      @@freelance_commie I’ll educate here some about right libertarianism, as I’m leftist and it’s important to teach other leftists to distinguish right authoritarianism(fscsm) from right libertarianism (anarcho-capitalism):
      Adam Smith was probably the first right libertarian (late 1700s). There’s also Gustave de Molinari’s Production of Security, written in 1849, a very significant right libertarian work. There’s Ludwig von Mises in early 1900s followed by the economists he influenced. And finally, all of it was influenced by the individualist anarchist writers from throughout the 1800s, mainly Americans.

    this is so interesting, thanks for sharing! it’s incredibly sad how far anti-communism has come in the last 50 years. can you imagine marxists being given time to explain their beliefs and thoughts in this capacity today? the fall of the ussr was definitely a massive blow but hopefully the rise of china can empower marxists across the global south to heights never before seen
