You is the best Prime Minister we ever have in Jamaica. I was a little girl, but I remember you and still remember you you were so good to us so kind so loving. May your soul rest in peace love you, Michael Manley.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Simply the best sorry I’m crying best we ever had the best whatever we’ll see, it’s just a shame to see what they did with this man legacy, such a brilliant mind🇯🇲👏👏👏💯🇯🇲
I totally agree with you there are several Caribbean men who are cut from the same leadership cloth: Marcus Garvey, Michael Manley, Bob Marley and Malcolm X. For these men the end did not justify the means, they stood for the "rock of truth." In spite of the setbacks, I'm convince the truth and right doing will always prevail, and the "end will NEVER" justify the means: This philosophy is from the "bottomless pit" spoken of in the Book of Revelation!
I strive for a world in which the workers of the global south can take and sustain democratic control over their resources, markets and workplaces. We need it so desperately
I am from the USA but have lived in Argentina for the last 18 years, the economic dillema is frequently that the politicians offer the resources to foreign companies, mainly from the USA, and take loans from the IMF and world bank and those politicians are certainly taking money to make the agreements. Not saying that Manley was corrupt or that the Kirchners did that here, but Macri sure did. Furthermore when the loans are received we dont notice a bump in the economy, but when we fail to pay it back in a timely fashion, which always happens, we get charged interest and penalties and the economy tanks. If you dont think its corrupt ask yourself why any bank would loan Argentina money when it always fails to make the payments!! I doubt that we receive the full amount of the loan as its a long process for the banks just to make interest
Manley made bauxite companies pay higher fees in order to use for the national budget. This is when the CIA stepped in and began the process sabotaging Manley's leadership.
@@vivalaleta Makes sense on face value however in a world run by psychopathic Europeans they would simply suffocate Jamaica economically and send it down the path of Venezuela & Cuba.

The only way to instill and cement real democracy is employee ownership of all jobs.
You're spot on.
I do like an employee stock ownership plan plan 👍

He is a good lawyer but difficult in implementing economic freedom to grow our country
Michael Manly mix up with America's enemies was is down fall.
This is why 1980 election was so bloody, they had to get him out
You expropriate those bauxite companies because they never should have been owned by foreign interests in the first place!
Manley made bauxite companies pay higher fees in order to use for the national budget. This is when the CIA stepped in and began the process sabotaging Manley's leadership.
Do not try to own it, that would be disaster, better to tax it like Manley said….
@@tropics8407 How would the country taking ownership of its own property be disastrous?
@@vivalaleta Makes sense on face value however in a world run by psychopathic Europeans they would simply suffocate Jamaica economically and send it down the path of Venezuela & Cuba.
Because the record of most state owned companies is quite abysmal, lots of nonsense political interference and meddling
The bauxite levy helped to save Jamaica from becoming a very poor country.
Yeah I can see why the CIA was in Jamaica
When you become best friends with America's enemy's CIA will make sure stay on Team America side.
Bingo...
