Looks like the hay spear does a good job. I have a Koyker loader on my 1020 John Deere, it does most all our stacking at home, about 150 to 300 a year. Good job with the hay work, I enjoyed watching. I hope you have a good night!

How does the 5045 handle the round bales? How much do they weigh

That's some good looking hay buddy. They have a new 500m out that is quick release loader it took the place of the 512 it's a copy of the older 553 and that 500m is perfect on the two wheel drives

Yeah its a great loader and it's not bad heavy on a two wheel drive. The only draw back is you will have to have a mid valve and joy stick to install it on your tractor.

I saw an add the other day that had a new 500M loader that looks a little smaller than the 520M. You’re right on the rigid mount loader, it’s a pain to take off, plus you can only get it in JD quick attach, no skid steer option on it.
