I love love love what you're doing! I would add that formal formulation training is also an option. I was in the Formula Botanica program for Organic Formulation. It's self paced. There are a few other programs as well. It really makes that brainstorming phase a lot easier.

Great tips. I have a question: I have a formula for a body wash that I worked on very hard and finally came up the way I wanted. I made several batches a few months ago and they’re all great. After a few months I needed to replenish some scents and I’m using the same formula and recipe but the body wash doesn’t thicken. I use glyceryl oleate to make the viscosity I want but it seems to not be working well to formulate in the warm weather. Is that such a thing? I can’t think of anything else that could be wrong.

I measure in grams of course following the cosmetic formulation 100% rule if I need to make more of the product to fill more bottles do I just double the grams or reformulate completely?
