This does nothing except for melting the butter into the pan and a slight seasoning to the very bottom of the turkey. You have to pull the turkey skin away from the breasts and melt a few sticks of butter, slightly melt it and season it with herbs and salt to your liking, and slather it all in there. Nothing you're doing here actually does anything to the turkey breast which is the most important part. You might still end up with some good drippings, but that's about it. All that butter on the top of the skin will just melt off into the pan and never even touches the turkey meat.
This is LITERALLY what I was about to say. Lol That butter is not enough seasoning. What about the rest of the turkey that the butter doesn’t touch? Just unseasoned. 🥴 lol
@@TheRasheedah8383well the stuffing maybe has butter which I like using salted butter but you dont need any more powdered herbs or seasoning with fresh herbs in it. Pepper. Brine the turkey so its salty thru out.
This looks incredible however…..if you want the best turkey of your life. Spatchcock and inject canon butter and dry brine. Smoke on a Weber kettle. The most flavorful and moist Turkey you can make. I have never ever had any leftover Turkey breast at thanksgiving.
@@kayscleaneats this is all wrong, first you hatchcock the bird, salt and baking bowder let sit over night, compound butter UNDER THE SKIN, bake 450 tell breasts are 150, removing the backbone allows for crispy skin and even cooking time stuffing the bird is a stupid thing people do that doesn’t really do anything.
@@calebshockey3493 yeah, that's one way to do it. This is another way to do it. I suppose you could deep fry too, smoke, grill a turkey... This is my way and it works! I'll try removing the back bone eventually... I like to do that with my chicken.
@@kayscleaneats smoking turkey is good but you have to have a crispy skin or it’s not it. Deep fried would be good to but you just really have to take the backbone out or it’s just being lazy to me. It’s far superior can’t wait for you to do it
I’m here because my wife family wants turkey 🦃 for Xmas but in my opinion is the most disgusting bird you can eat no disrespect for those who like it… thank you thou!
It's better if u put more butter under the skin so good
Try doing both 😉

Pro tip: instead of olive oil, use bacon grease
Juicy is what I am aiming for!
I love sage! It smells so good it’s meditating!
What temperature? How long?
What the hell is this? You didn't even season it.
Butter looks seasoned at least
It's a compound butter. Meaning it's mixed with seasonings and chopped herbs
Exactly
