Hi Nick! Really enjoy your channel.
Question: what golf ball launch monitor do you like?
    Thanks,
    Scott

Hi Scott, I’ve tested all the major launch monitors and my personal choice is Foresight GC Quad for the club data accuracy

Great video! You should do a video on posting up on the Left leg. Like you really do have to straighten it up. It lowers the left shoulder at the same time and creates extension.

I read 5 lessons by Ben Hogan. The SnT method is very identical. I spent a lot of money for pga teachers to tell me my flat swing wasn’t going to work. Well, I went back to it after a few years going more upright. My handicap went up to 9.0, needless to say I went back to my “flat swing” and been shooting in the 70’s after only revisiting the swing again for less than a week. Won another round in match play with subpar driving but great iron play. On the back 9, I was able to grasp the takeaway better with my driver and was hitting baby draws with it.

Sorry to hear that, but sounds like your back on track 💪

@@NickTaylorGolf the stack and tilt method helped fast track my swing back. I was fighting my hand path with the driver and I had hit the ball about a club further so I was down 3 in the first 8. Then I visualized the grid and weight and parred 10 straight holes to finish the round but the match was won on the 16th 3&2. I played a lower handicap player and beat him in a gross match.

There seems to be a lot of secrecy about the stack & tilt unless your willing to pay for it. Thank you for a good explanation. I personally like the single plane swing but I can incorporate some of your instruction.

I wouldn’t say secrecy but helps to understand better of you find an instructor. Ideally in person

Getting HOURS of video explanations for free is not secrecy! Thanks a million! Thanks to you and RCG I am learning the ST super quickly and I’m quite excited to go to the range!

Nice work Nick. Appreciate the on course video. Why is the exit position, low & around, so critical? After contact, wouldn't down the line and up be okay? Which is where I tend to end up.

    • @NickTaylorGolf
      @NickTaylorGolf  2 года назад

That is the on plane position to ensure a straight swing direction and not too much in to out

    Great analysis Nick!
However, how far back should a person go in their backswing? What is that check point?
I'm sure this comes up a lot but with SnT I think I'm trying to have my back facing the target too much which I may be over rotating. And of course we think the bigger the back swing the farther you will hit, but that certainly is not the case.

    • @NickTaylorGolf

I would say shaft parallel with the driver and slightly shorter with the irons

Nick I am embarking on s&t. However I am puzzled when the fundamentals of conventional golf are compared with the contact/power/direction elements of s&t. They are not comparable. The 3 elements of S&T are OUTPUTS - what you want to achieve. The fundamentals of traditional golf are I NPUTS - what you have to DO and I would argue that they are designed to achieve the same outputs as S&T.
