Beautiful scenery; the mountains; lakes, waterfalls, and the cinnamon roll, or loaf. Just fantastic. Glad you miss the problems on the highway 😎😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌
Thanks for bringing back some fond memories of my greatest road trip ever. i drove from Chicago to Fairbanks in 1993, leaving late in the season on Aug. 6th. I headed up through Minneapolis, North Dakota, Glacier/Waterton NP, Banff, Jasper, and Hinton. (The Columbia Icefields Parkway between Jasper and Banff has some of the most stunning mountain scenery in all of North America-it's a "must see!") It was good to see Muncho Lake and Liard Hot Springs again. I detoured into Skagway to ride the White Pass & Yukon Railroad and then headed to Fairbanks. I spent about 5 days in and around Denali National Park and then down to Anchorage to stay with friends. I made it to Homer and Wrangell-St. Elias NP. My friends won the lottery to drive your personal vehicle all the way to Wonder Lake in Denali NP on the last day the park was open: Sept. 13th and they gave the ticket to me to use because they couldn't. Amazing. It was late in the season, and I knew I had to book it south quickly to avoid snow. Between Hinton and Jasper, it snowed quite a bit but melted the next day. I returned to Chicago by way of Vancouver, BC; San Diego, CA; New Orleans, LA; Mobile, AL; and Memphis, TN. Al totaled, I was gone 70 days and drove 18,168 miles. I'd do it again tomorrow (except, perhaps, the camping in a tent every night part. 😂) The only issue I had with my vehicle on the Alaska Highway was a burned out headlight from the requirement to have you lights on at all times. Safe travels.
That is an EPIC trip! We just spent some time in Denali a couple weeks ago and had a great time even only on the first 43 miles so we can only imagine how awesome the rest of the road is!
CAN’T STOP SMILING!!!! These vlogs keep getting better and better as you get closer and closer! I’m at a loss for words…freaking awesome vlog! This has got to be one the absolutely most amazing road trips anywhere on earth! WOW!!! I’m still drooling over the cinnamon buns. The word “pillowy” was used…hot springs, all sorts of wildlife and crazy Mountain View’s…I mean c’mon! This brought me so much happiness! You’re THE best!!!!
Woohooooo!!! We loved the Alaska highway! It's been the trip of a lifetime! The cinnamon buns were outrageous, the hot springs were relaxing, the wildlife was super wild, and the mountains awe inspiring! Thanks, Brad you always put a smile on our faces!!!
Dawson creek fella here. Friends with the owner of beans and barley and even worked there a little once. Great place and I'm glad you enjoyed our small city 😀
Thank you for stopping to show us the nature along the way. I’ve never seen caribou before! The hot springs scene was like the story of Goldilocks and the three bears. 😂
We've loved everywhere we've been in Canada. BC and the Yukon were so amazing! We're excited to check out that highway on the way down! Thanks for watching!
Great video. You do a great job highlighting your adventures and the beauty of BC. I taught school at Toad River (Mile 422) for a year and 2 more years in Ft. Nelson in the early-mid-90s. Travelling back and forth to FN, my teaching partner and I would often be stopped and blocked on the highway by a herd of hundreds of caribou. (Literally, like the scene from Polar Express!) No shortage of wildlife and northern lights. I'm surprised you didn't see any moose, deer, wolves, elk, etc. It's hard to believe but Stone Mountain is even more amazing on a bright and sunny day and video just isn't able to capture the breath-taking blue of Muncho Lake. The locals and truckers on the highway are some of the best people you'll meet.
That’s a fun story! We did see some of that wildlife in the Yukon in our next two videos! That park was so incredible! We’d love to go back on a clear day! And we agree…we met a trucker at an overlook and he was so nice. Thanks and thanks for watching, Patrick!
Wow... So Beautiful, all the amazing views you're seeing and beautiful animals... love it. Glad you guys are able to keep in touch with family. Safe travels blessings. 😊
Love the excitement you two have for all your adventures as well as the fun you create on your drives. So far there are bears, buffalo, caribou, bighorn sheep, and a porcupine. Thanks for sharing.
I was thinking of you guys the other day when I heard about the Alaska Highway collapse. You must have just missed that! I love seeing all the wildlife!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Stock up your food next big town. That's a major hwy for supplies above it and Alaska already has limited stuff and dealing with inflation. Safe travels.
@@AdventuresofAplusK If you are doing (or have already done) the Cassier (#37) south make certain you go slow and enjoy that journey. We typically spend 5-7 days just on the Cassier and we've done it a significant number of time, its just that awesome.
Amazing 👏 I love all the wildlife you got to see. You two are truly blessed and loved this part of your adventure. Such beautiful mountains and lakes, hot springs campgrounds wow. Take care!
Never thought I'd make it to the Alcan. Thanks for letting me tag a long. You two really put your heart and soul into making these videos. Make sure to take bear spray when hiking. Waiting for the next episode. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
We are happy and thankful we can share! We work hard on these videos and it makes us happy to hear they are so appreciated! We always carry bear spray with us in bear country! Gotta stay alert and make noise too!
So fun to follow you on this adventure. Years ago had a plan to travel from Phoenix to Alaska. Maybe one day it'll happen for me. Meanwhile will enjoy everything that you are sharing. Safe travels! 🙏
Can you make these videos an hour long? I'm enjoying living vicariously through your adventures and 33 minutes is not long enough! I'll take all the B roll as filler. Also, how have you guys not made any kind of reference to Dawson's Creek the TV show?
We're cranking out our adventures as fast as we can! We include as much as we can in each video that makes a good story. We wish we could share more, but we're worked to the max as it is. But thank you for the thought! We know how you feel with the channels we watch too! haha neither of us watched that show, but we've sang the theme song many times!
I did a little research on that and the show is set in the eastern USA, whether the producers borrowed the show's name from this town was not revealed, however, is it not true that creeks (small mountain streams) are pronounced "cricks" down south?
@@AdventuresofAplusK For sure! I was only joking about the one hour episodes. I definitely don't want you guys burning out when your full time journeys just started!
You guys are so great at articulating and demonstrating your appreciation of all things amazing on the roads you are travelling. Of course your camera skills are to be envied as well. Thank you so much for sharing.
We live right around the corner from that sign. Just moved back to Dawson Creek May 25th after 10 years. Glad you mentioned the dates of this video. I was going to tell you about the road closure up ahead. Enjoy your adventures.

Congrats. My bucket list dream one day. I did drive a portion of the Alaska Highway from/to Delta Junction in June 2017 and 19. I have driven and conquered both the Dalton and Dempster Hwys in June 2019. The wildest and most fun road adventures of my life.
New videos from you guys are the highlight of my week! My son and I love anticipating a "pillowy" comment about whatever yummy thing you are eating each week. Thank you for sharing your adventures!
Superb quality video, amazing adventure to Alaska ! So far away, beautiful episode filming 🎥 again .I really enjoyed to watch, so wilderness, no people on the road. It's so fascinating to see everything. Incredible spectacular scenery. Many thanks .
Loved all the beauty…I can’t wait to see how much more beautiful it gets because this was really awesome! That cinnamon roll was ridiculous…😋🤤. Loved all the driving dance moves and Kathryn’s comment to Adam, “what are you doing?” Haha! The hot springs looked so relaxing no wonder you stayed so long. And, Kona had a lot of time in the video which you know gamma loves❣️ Keep traveling safe and know that you are awesome and no one can take that away from you! 😘❤️❤️❤️🐶🥰
Ya never know what you're going to get when the music starts playing and we start dancing! 😂 The cinnamon roll was super super good, but it didn't beat the holiday monkey bread! 🐵 This section of the road was gorgeous, but it gets even better, believe it or not!
It was so fun to see you guys so excited; put a smile on my face! My husband watched this one and last weeks video and enjoyed it, too! I never tire of seeing the coffee shops you visit!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I live in Dawson Creek as well. (Mile 0 of Alaska Hiway) I'm halfway thru this video and it is epic so far! The drive to Liard is so beautiful!!!
I admire your bravery, hiking in such a remote area, especially after seeing all of those bears! Everything looks so beautiful. My husband was stationed in Alaska in the Air Force, but I have never been. We are planning to drive there in the next few years🤞, so your videos are very helpful!
Ya we get nervous, but as long as we are alert, make noise, and know what to do when we encounter a bear we'll be alright! We hope you can go! We plan on creating lots of written content on our website from our journey this year so hopefully that will be helpful as well!
WOW! British Columbia is so amazingly beautiful! 😍 I hope to explore my own province in the future! I was in the Yukon last March, and would love to visit Alaska too. Thanks for this wonderful video. Very well done! 😃👍🏾
awesome! loving this grand adventure! looks like you're loving everything about the trip... as you should be! the views look epic and the adventure spectacular!
Loved the video. We drove up from Alabama with our 5th wheel in 2012 and 2018. We enjoyed reliving it through your video. We want to go back a 3rd time but we will be driving a van or class c so we can stay in some out of the way places. Thanks can't wait to see the other videos!
You guys seem to outdo yourselves each time. Of course the wilderness landscapes here play a big role. Mungo Lake was breathtaking . Whirlpool canyon really unique. Caribou and bighorn sheep sightings a special treat.😀
Oh that's our favorite show on Netflix! I hope they keep making more of it! Check out his previous show also, called "I'll Have What Phil's Having." It's basically the same thing but a few years older and made by PBS. It used to be on Netflix also, but not sure if it still is. I'm sure it can be found somewhere though! Thanks for watching!
Excellent video guys. Planning to travel through BC to Alaska for camping sometime in this year with my son. Your video and guidance will definitely help us plan our road trip along the Alaska highway. Thank you for sharing
Check out our website as well. We have a full guide to the Alaska Highway that is much more detailed than our videos can be! adventuresofaplusk.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-visiting-alaska/
The scenery, wildlife was just incredible, not to mention the cinnamon bun! Kona loved that snow! Hot springs looked amazing too. Fantastic video and we always love your bloops! ~Safe travels Cara 😊
I love how you serenade the bears!! You definitely have fun - it's great to see. When we were in Yellowstone two years ago, we were calling out "Yo Bears," and my daughter who was two at the time starting calling out, "Go Squirrels!" It's a family joke now. So if you hear a family on your adventures calling "Go Squirrels," stop and say hi, that'll be us! And if we hear someone singing to the bears, we'll know it's you! :)
Two more days of my health recovery at home, I'm binge watching RUclipss such as this channel. The backcountry space and air there must be refreshing from the big city..
It is a beautiful place the yukon I grew up at Creek Creek the first stop in the Yukon. 45 miles south of watson lake.looks like you guys had a great time.
Thank you! It's really easy to let it get messy! And once it gets messy it gets overwhelming so we try to put things away as quickly as we can! Thanks, Hannah!
Wonderful video!! Brings back great memories of the 6 trips I had with my parents. Last one being in 1988. We used a pick up truck with a homemade camper shell. The Alcan was gravel road at that time. Lots of construction too!! Met great people along the way. Would love to go back and experience it again! Watching your videos is awesome!! Thank you for sharing!! Enjoy your adventures!!🤩
We're thankful most of the road is paved now! We though it was in great condition the entire way! We know we'll be driving it many more times also. Thank you and thanks for watching!
Saw your IG story … delete those types of comments and move away from them. Your community - including me - are big fans of who you are. Absolutely wonderful people! I’m off to watch the video - the best way to spend a rainy Wisconsin afternoon, dreaming of Alaska!

@@AdventuresofAplusK Totally agree! My intent was really to provide a show of support to you. I’m a huge fan of just who you are and the content you are creating. Hoping some positives and appreciation will help offset the other stuff.

Thank you and thanks for watchinng!
Superb quality video, amazing adventure to Alaska ! So far away, beautiful episode filming 🎥 again .I really enjoyed to watch, so wilderness, no people on the road. It's so fascinating to see everything. Incredible spectacular scenery. Many thanks .
Thank you so much!
The cinnamon roll was super super good, but it didn't beat the holiday monkey bread! 🐵
This section of the road was gorgeous, but it gets even better, believe it or not!
The hot springs were such a Goldilocks moment - glad you found the perfect temperature. Such a nice treat! Beautiful footage as always.
Yes it was! 😂
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Ive lived in dawson creek for the last 9 years. Decent place and lots of tourism, definitely a beautiful drive aswell
We enjoyed our small time there. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for visiting Dawson Creek and adding us in your video! Happy travels!
It's an important spot! Thanks and thanks for watching!
It was so fun to see you guys so excited; put a smile on my face! My husband watched this one and last weeks video and enjoyed it, too! I never tire of seeing the coffee shops you visit!
We are having a ball! We love sharing the cool coffee shops we come across! Thanks for watching!
What a stunning stretch of hwy in this video. Thanks for sharing
It was amazing!
This was honestly so cool to see. I live In Dawson Creek and always see people taking photos at the Alaska highway sign. Nice to see it on RUclips
Ikr. It's so weird thinking Dawson is somewhat popular lol. It's always just been home, and never thought that it was a place for tourists lol.
The town and sign have pretty big historical significance! It was a fun stop!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I live in Dawson Creek as well. (Mile 0 of Alaska Hiway) I'm halfway thru this video and it is epic so far! The drive to Liard is so beautiful!!!
@@AdventuresofAplusK LOVED your reactions to Muncho Lake's color :)
An experience of a lifetime! Thanks for sharing. Some place I’ll never get to see except through your video!😀👍
We're thankful and lucky for what we get to do and share!
They don’t call it beautiful British Columbia for nothing! Thanks and thanks for watching!
awesome! loving this grand adventure! looks like you're loving everything about the trip... as you should be! the views look epic and the adventure spectacular!
Yes we are! It’s been amazing!
I watched last night, and I re-watched this morning. Such great scenery and wildlife. Looking forward to the Yukon leg of the journey.
Thanks, Eric! We're excited to share the next leg of the journey!
Loved the video. We drove up from Alabama with our 5th wheel in 2012 and 2018. We enjoyed reliving it through your video. We want to go back a 3rd time but we will be driving a van or class c so we can stay in some out of the way places. Thanks can't wait to see the other videos!
This is definitely a trip we’ll be making many times also! Thanks for watching!
So awesome!! Liard hot springs has been on my bucket list for a while!! Love the dancing in the car clip!!!
Liard River Hot Springs was a big bucket list item for us too!
I seen you guys taking the photo at the alaska highway!!!!
Woohoo!
That joke about windshield 😅, I always experience that while driving through rural areas here in Alberta. Great information and very good content.
Y’all made it!! I’m so excited for you guys can’t wait too see more!!!!
We're excited to share the next leg of the journey! It's been a blast!
Love your attitude on the weather! Seeing the silver lining even in the fog! Good for you!
Oh ya! Weather doesn't stop us! 😊
Thanks for watching, Paula!
You guys seem to outdo yourselves each time. Of course the wilderness landscapes here play a big role. Mungo Lake was breathtaking . Whirlpool canyon really unique. Caribou and bighorn sheep sightings a special treat.😀
The wilderness, wildlife, and mountains never get old for us! Thank you so much, Stephen!
The Cobb bowl looked amazing! Thanks for the video - it shows the ruggedness of that part of the country!
It was delicious! It is rugged and beautiful up there
Made that journey in 1974 when the entire highway was dirt. I spent the summer in Soldatna and the Keni. Beautiful trip.
That would be quite the experience! We loved the Kenai!
Just wanted to thank you guys for the referral to Somebody Feed Phil. We’re so enjoying it. Right after we watch Adventures of A&K

Ohmygosh! That cinnamon bun!!!! I'm so excited for you two to make it to this part of the trip.
The cinnamon bun was out of this world!
The scenery, wildlife was just incredible, not to mention the cinnamon bun! Kona loved that snow! Hot springs looked amazing too. Fantastic video and we always love your bloops! ~Safe travels Cara 😊
Kona is definitely a snow dog! She loooves rolling around and scratching at the snow! The cinnamon bun was so delightful! Thank you!
haha that's awesome! We love talking and singing to the wildlife! We'll keep our ears out for "Go Squirrels"! Thanks!
Just came back from Mt Rainier camping trip, so excited to see this new episode! Yee Peee! Officially on Alaska highway, so it begins!
Oh nice! We hope you had a great time out there!
Woohoo!!!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Yes, we did! 🥰🥰🥰
Nice trip. I live not far from the mile zero post. Been as far as Fort Nelson. Have a safe and enjoyable experience. 🇨🇦😊👍
We loved our drive up the Alcan! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Two more days of my health recovery at home, I'm binge watching RUclipss such as this channel. The backcountry space and air there must be refreshing from the big city..
We hope you get well soon! We love being out on the road!
It is a beautiful place the yukon I grew up at Creek Creek the first stop in the Yukon.
45 miles south of watson lake.looks like you guys had a great time.
Another great video. Not long enough though. Always leaves me wanting more. Keep safe and enjoy the trip.
We're working hard to put out content. A lot goes into every video. Thanks and thanks for watching!
Giving us 20th Anniversary vibes “2024” ❤️. Safe travels and new views returning 😊

Your van is so tidy! I've always admired that about you guys. That hike was amazing!! The views are incredible! Enjoy that beautiful drive!
Thank you! It's really easy to let it get messy! And once it gets messy it gets overwhelming so we try to put things away as quickly as we can! Thanks, Hannah!
Such an incredible video! Absolutely beautiful ❤️
Excellent guys, continued fun and safe travels!
Thanks, Peter!
Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Your videos are awesome.
We're thankful we can share! Thanks for watching!

That was a great segment of the road trip!
Gosh, very adventurous.

I’m off to watch the video - the best way to spend a rainy Wisconsin afternoon, dreaming of Alaska!
Unfortunately these comments always seem to come from our community. We ignore and block people often, but we also believe it’s important to set boundaries and make it clear that we do not tolerate being treated this way. We can’t expect change without speaking out and standing up for ourselves!
