that 'tarp' is actually a great idea. I carried a big towel my last day hike, just in case I wanted to sit on the ground and couldn't find a 'clean' spot.
Love this, I have been looking at different day packs and this gave a good look at the osprey skimmer 30. Enjoyed seeing what you pack in there too. Thanks!
Great, helpful video, thanks!! 💐💐 “If REI is watching and WANTS to pay me...😉” 😂😂😂😂😂😂 EDIT: I’ve now watched further into the video (pug dog attack, gnats are spawn of satan, etc.) and OMG, you are HILARIOUS!!! 😂😂😂😂. Best wishes to you! EDIT again: I’ve always L❤️VED the woods since I was a child, but I’m relatively new to focusing on hiking as an adult (I’m in training to hike some bits of the Appalachian Trail next month to celebrate recovery from cancer this year & my 60th birthday in a few weeks!), and your channel looks like it covers some gorgeous territory (I actually get weak in the knees every time I see the Blue Ridge mountains, and the Smokeys had a similar effect on me the one time I drove through Tennessee) so I’m subbing!😃
So much easier being a guy! That being said, I do pack some flushable wipes. It's very nice to see that you're carrying all the essentials. So many people I see on the trails do not, and end up needing to be rescued. They don't seem to realize that the contents of your pack can save your life.
You are 100% correct! I'm always amazed sometimes to see people out not carrying anything - even a bottle of water and late in the afternoon. The first time I hiked I didn't carry much, but I quickly learned that wasn't a good idea. :)
You can get various size Ziploc bags that are quite a bit bigger than the food ones in the travel section of any large store. Some use a vacuum but others you just roll out the air.
Trying to decide between the Skimmer 30 and the Sirrus 24 for a daypack. Why does it have to be so hard? 🤣 Thanks for this video even though it's not necessarily about the pack it was very helpful showing all the storage on it.
You got no repair kit, safety pins, paper clips, duct tape. And as most women you love your leggings, but if they are synthetic, they melt not burn (like paracord on plastic) so that will be bad if pulled off. Carry some kind of mouth wash if you have a problem, remember Listerine is an antiseptic.
You are so funny 😂that dog 🐶 was awesome
Love your honesty!
This is the one of the coolest day hike gear videos I’ve seen yet! You’ve got that gear dialed down well and without missing the essentials.
Wow thanks so much!! Glad you liked the video!
I like how she doesn’t finish her sentences and then just moves on to the next pocket. This video is hilariously helpful I swear lol

Just watching this just because. Best day ever was picking you up in October 2020 and driving you to Harpers Ferry. ❤❤

There’s a whistle built into the strap of your backpack. The little grey part. I have that same backpack and my son found the whistle. :)
Generally ospreys have this, however I believe the skimmer model with the magnetic hydration strap “may” be an exception. I’d look it up
You can get large zip bags in the aisle where they sell ziploc. Either ziploc or hefty makes them.
This footage was great!!!! 😂 😆 weirdly funny but, simplistically good bahahaaa!! Thank you!
Thank you. Love your adventures. Would love to hike with you
Good pack if you are on an established trail, in an area to call for help. short on fire, med kit and over night.

Is 30 liter day pack the largest you will carry? What size do you use for the winter or any other times?
Gotta watch out for those avocados😝😉
