Love your adventures, Kelly! Your channel is one of my faves. You inspired me to book a solo trip to 2 Florida state parks this summer. Finally woke up and realized I’m tired of sitting around waiting for “Mr. Right” or a group of friends to travel with. Everyone has so many excuses-gotta work, too tired, too broke, you name it. The time is now! 🌴🥾🥾 Safe travels!
I enjoy your videos. I'm a Florida Native as well! I'm almost ready to begin my journey with my two GSD in memory of Gunnar. Gunnar went on almost every adventure with me. Just purchased my camper topper for my old Ford and will begin outfitting it all soon. It would be awesome to run into you one day and ask you for some advice and ideas!! Stay safe out there and keep doing what your doing!!
I'm originally from New England. I've hiked and climbed all over the country. I moved to Florida in 2004. My farm is in Levy County across from Goethe forest. I love old world NATURAL, WONDERFUL Florida! Thank you for showing off that aspect of Florida. Ya, it's flat, but the variety of animals, plants, springs, peace and quiet can't be beat! Check out Goethe forest some time! Keep up the great work!! Be safe out there!
We love Lake Kissimmee State Park, camped there five times and had a ball. We did stay in that very same Pioneer glamping tent in August of '22 and thought the ambiance was nice but it rained on us non-stop. Since then they built decks to go underneath the tents (there's one for each loop, so two, total) and that means no one's gonna get washed out like we did. I loved this video; I think it's time for us to go back since the improvements there mean we'll definitely stay high-and-dry no matter what happens. Just a tip for you: lighting that cute, lil' propane stove inside the tent is risky. And it's a no-no in the state park system. Better safe than sorry!
Hey Kelly, enjoying your videos and the variety you put on the channel. I also love cooking with a dutch oven!! So this was right up my alley! One of my favorite pieces of kit for cooking with a dutch oven is a lid lifter.....keeps the fingers from getting toasted! Thanks for your videos, and keep up the good work!
Welcome back to Florida! We spent a month in Arkansas last summer and greatly enjoyed it. Being a Florida native it's always a joy to see you exploring places around here that we are familiar with. God bless.
So glad to see you back where you belong Florida girl. Of course, I am biased. Kelly, you have become a natural in front of the camera. Did you know you could have another channel called " Kelly's Camp side Cooking". Has a nice ring to it. I think the Ebike is awesome and a great addition to your repertoire. I hope you are having fun and enjoying yourself. Can't wait for the next video to see what you are up to. Stay well and be safe.
Kelly I want to recommend a RUclips channel called Outdoor Boys. It’s a dad and his boy’s camping all over the world but mostly in Alaska. I’ve seen some of your videos where you are cold at night and he has a great solution. He pours boiling water into a plastic bottle and puts it in his sleeping bag. It will keep you warm at night and you will have water in the morning for coffee that’s not frozen 😊
It's good to see you give Florida so much love. Welcome back. Looks like you just missed our little group camp 3 weeks ago at HangCon 2024. There are so many beautiful spots here to camp and that new software will help you get the most out of the area. Can't wait to see more of what you come up with.floridahanger
I use to roam those woods before it was a state pk.cought a many gator and hog I would like to go back now that it is a state pk. I am 85 yrs old now this brings back great memories Have fun!
I’m a new subscriber. I’ve been a subscriber to Dome Life for a long time and it’s becoming a game for me while I’m catching up on all of your content to find the Dome Life logo or merchandise in each video lol. Really enjoy your videos thanks
Enchiladas look bomb!! Just a quick hint from someone who also has been cooking/catering for a long while. If you drop your tortillas in hot oil for a few seconds then set aside to roll your filling your enchiladas will come out soft and not dry also you forgot to add cheese on top haha jk that would be what I’d do!! I’ll have to try your filler though that recipe looks and sounds really good! So thank you lol
Great video! That meal you cooked looked so freaking good. I know I would not be able to make it last a whole week lol. I love armadillos. I hope I get to see one that close someday! Also, you have great composition skills. The way you utilized the Spanish moss was stellar. I'd love to see more of your photography.
Wow Kelly, your skills have come so far...cooking, camping, photography, & yes,, now an armadillo whisperer !😂😊❤❤ thanks for another fun adventure !! God bless you with traveling mercies! We are praying 🙏 for your protection !! ❤❤
Hi Kelly welcome back. Everyone deserves a little pampering once in a while that is a nice set up. I love that park it is beautiful I've tent camped there many times.
From. Flo Native…. Welcome back I never have used any charcoal in my fire pits. I cook on the fire and have learned from many mistakes. Now I’m good at it. Just be patient slow down. The fire will work for you. Also learn to split wood with an ax. Now that you did Kissimmee River State park. Now do Kissimmee Prairie State Park and preserve. You hiked through it. Hike out 3 miles to the primitive camp. You’ll thank me later. It’s very nice. There is a pitcher pump there and it does work.
I love that recipe idea. I'm anxious to try something similar. Glad to see you in a warmer climate. But that armadillo is making camping more stressful than thru hiking. Best wishes.
Great video! I've been hiking 3-5 days a week after work and working on building my miles up on the weekend. I'm only up to doing 4-6 miles at once (without feeling like Death itself) but I am working on it. Keep up the great work!
While arguing with the armadillo, I was waiting for you to say, ‘ Don’t make me go get Mr. Hayes to come out here!’ Another RUclipsr, Slim Potatohead, had an encounter with an armadillo and it bit him it became a medical thing, but it turned out ok. The history of Florida and their cattle “ranching” is very interesting. You might enjoy reading up on that. It is great to see you here again, 9L.
Nice! I definitely have to do that regarding the pioneer-style camping. I like how you cook, and it seems you cook really well. I’m currently doing some hiking programs, and I’m thinking about starting a RUclips Channel.
Welcome back to my home state Kelly. I love camping cooking over the pit ! Yup, even in the summer Fl heat ! I like your Videos. Thanks Kelly for sharing your camp/ hike adventures! 👍😁
We friggin love armadillos! Also, that is such a rad spot to camp! We have the green version of that Siete enchilada sauce and taco seasoning in our pantry right now😂
Nice video. Be careful where you charge the bike. They are known to start fires. When using the cable to lock up the bike, weave it through the wheels and the frame. The dutch oven cooking looked sooo good. Get the lid handle for the dutch oven to save your fingers. You need to have a good camp knife, most will have a can opening blade or you can buy a P-38 can opener like we used in the Army. I still have one with my dog tags. Have fun. Good Luck, Rick
This was a 21-minute vacation. What a perfect forest niche. ⛺️ And the sound of those enchiladas when you pulled the lid! 😮 Shout out to Frederick and Miss Hays. 😂 This made my week, thank you, 9L. ✌️
That tent setup was actually pretty awesome. To wake up in the Florida woodlands with the sounds of nature and you’re in a real bed is definitely glamping and not overdoing the glamping, while still being out in nature. Congrats on the kickbutt meal you made too.
love, Loved, LOVED this adventure, and especially now that you have an ebike ! I got one, too, last year and have fallen in love with it. Am looking forward to riding it on the many rail trails around the nation. Would love to go on an adventure with you on our ebikes, if you'd be interested ! ....... Old railroad beds went in amongst some of the most beautiful areas, including the Virginia Creeper Trail, which crosses the AT............also loved seeing you start the day reading the Bible.....i have been reading it from cover to cover for the last 9 years and am starting on my 10th time reading it through, am in Leviticus now..........it's a good habit to get into...........i got an armadillo hanging around my cabin, as well.........i just leave it be and let it suck up all the grubs under the leaves.....i also heard they carry the leprosy virus.....another reason why i don't mess with it.....glad Fredrick didn't bite cha ! .........keep up the great adventures ! i'm lovin' them all !
I gotta say this Chickapoo I'm really envious. The place, the time, the temperature! Its like 30° here so it's awesome to see in February. Biking. Deer. The tent-scape is awesome. The park is amazing. The set up is so cool and fantastic! Thanks for sharing. 🎉😎
Kelly, you have more cooking spices, & equipment than I do at home! What kind of cooling do you have? You said this was your meal prep for the week. How are you storing it for a week? I bought a house in Alma, Arkansas. I’m in California. LOL! You were scaring off the Armadillo while you were trying to eat! That was funny. Thanks for the detailed explanation on what & how you’re doing during cooking & camping.
That looks like a beautiful place to camp. The echidnas looked delicious. I love your t shirt. Your battle with the armadillo was priceless. Great video.
Was baptized in 2019 in the middle of a hurricane Lol The Bible is the only book you will ever need for comfort. The channel is great and nice to see Florida again . Spent winter on my dads farms in Ocala and Vero Beach tending Thoroughbred horses. Loved to hike and kayak the mangos.
Great video, like always, Kelly! I love FL, so glad I get to visit vicariously through you when you're there. Curios on what kind of vest pack that is. I've checked the gear list, but I dont see it. If anyone knows, Id appreciateit.
Lmao Fred the armadillo. I was in Boca grande area and they are everywhere. I want to go back to Florida. Never been to Kissimmee. Trying to get going. Got a motorhome and a truck. Wanting to maybe get a van and sell the two. But love having my motorhome. Just too big most places. 31 feet 1983! Worried about the breakdowns with my autistic daughter.
I know I say it every video so I'll say it again, The food looked really good! You always make me hungry with your cooking. Whether a solo camp or camping with friends, you always looking like you are really enjoying your time.
Good video. Get you a p38 can opener at army navy store. Mines saves me about once a year when no can opener is available. Looks like a cool place. Thanks for sharing.
That’s a great camp! I have a Dutch oven but I kind of got away from using it. I’ll have to get it out & find some recipes for it again. Frederick the Armadillo was really funny!
I really enjoyed watching your video, loved Frederick! I love how you name animals you encounter on your hikes! Those enchiladas looked delicious! I would love to try them.
Frederick is soooo cute! 😊 I've never met an armadillo in person. Maybe someday. That tent and campsite is crazy! I'd love to spend a week or so out in the backcountry in something like that. With a couple of pack animals to carry it in for me!
That tent is amazing! I love my heybike! I do wish mine was the drop bar like yours. I’m only 5’4” and mine has the straight backbone bar. Hard for me to swing my stubby legs over at times haha. I wish more of my friends would get some ebikes.
I've lived in Florida my hole life, but my family is from Arkansas. I've been going up in June for family reunions, Mt view area. It's so Beautiful up there. Keep up the Adventures.
Just a quick recommendation. Look up "shock mount holder" for your Rode mic, as well as "windscreen foam cover". That $20 investment from those two things will make you soooooo much happier with that mic as a vlog camera. As a "hiking vlogger" myself, it took a year before someone recommended those things to me lol. Great video as always, and safe travels!!!
...Wow ,, That looked like a great outing ... and campsite .... Lol,, dinner with Frederick .... Hey Kelly , I use taco seasoning in many meals .. don't you add water in yours ?? Makes the Ground beef taste a little better (moister) and still mixes well with everything else ... Dinner looked awesome ,, I'm sure tasted great as well , just ask Frederick .... Q : Do you need to pedal an electric bike ?? ..
Just moved to central Florida 2 years ago from California. Man I love it here! Love hiking and camping as well, so I went and subscribed to your channel. Awesome videos! You seem really laid back and cool! We should go hiking someday! 😀🤙
That video was great! The music you picked was awesome sounded like a western 👍 you needed a horse tied up outside 😂 sweet ebike! Omg Frederick how adorable was he!!💕 dinner looked amazing and I love that tent! What an awesome time.
Enchiladas looked amazing!😮. All that bougie glamping, you needed to whip up a frozen margarita to have with those enchiladas!😊. Your video quality is definitely getting a lot more bougie, too❤ I’m gonna have to check out that camera!
Kelly 😊 , I must confess that You have INSPIRED me with you're ADVENTURES in the FLORIDA 😊 PARKS , Being a MIAMI RESIDENT , I do hiking but NOT all over FLORIDA , I WON'T to EXTENT my HIKING, for training , for my goal wish is to do EL CAMINO de SANTIAGO , starting in FRANCE to SANTIAGO de COMPOSTELA ( I KNOW it WELL being there & speak the LANGUAGE) if you now any hikers that like to buddy up , please let me know 😀 .. THANKS !!!
New sub here. Cowboy Kent Rollins has a good channel on cooking in dutch ovens but you seemed to have done an awesome job. Those enchiladas had me drooling.
Now that's my kinda camping! Out in the wild but with some creature comforts! I'm hungry now watching you make those enchiladas! They look delicious! Frederick was a trip!
Try putting your bell peppers on the Coles till they scorch the Smokey sweet and amazing You then chop out the seeds roughly chop and add to the sauce it’s heaven
I'm torn between the OM5 and the new OM 1 Mark 2. The OM 5 is probably all I really need but I'm a photography nerd and l always fall for the latest and greatest marketing ploys! LOL
Kelly had me cracking up with the "go on, git" at Mr. Armadillo 😂
Oh I know right! Her accent was hilarious! 🤣
right hahahha. "That darn Fredrick!"
Armadillos are known carriers of leprosy.

Definitely!! We have some beautiful SP . I live in Fl for my whole life . Still haven’t been to all 174 parks!
This is amazing! So proud of you and excited for ya!

I love that recipe idea. I'm anxious to try something similar. Glad to see you in a warmer climate. But that armadillo is making camping more stressful than thru hiking. Best wishes.
Loved the armadillo as the uninvited guest at dinner.
Thanks for sharing another outdoor overnight adventure.
Shots and overall atmosphere so unique here my friend! Bravo 👏👏
Great video! I've been hiking 3-5 days a week after work and working on building my miles up on the weekend.
I'm only up to doing 4-6 miles at once (without feeling like Death itself) but I am working on it.
Keep up the great work!
I loved that you showed your morning devo....always staying true to you :) I'm going there in March thanks to you showing this video.
Love some siete brand!
While arguing with the armadillo, I was waiting for you to say, ‘ Don’t make me go get Mr. Hayes to come out here!’
Another RUclipsr, Slim Potatohead, had an encounter with an armadillo and it bit him it became a medical thing, but it turned out ok.

I love how you make me see Florida differently. I am a Floridian. Your videos are so refreshing.
I loved it when the armadillo made your Arkansaw come out! You're such a delight to watch. Thank you. Bless you and keep you 🙏

Stayed at that Same pioneer tent last month. Cute and pretty private! Welcome back to Florida! 😊
KELLY HAYS GOURMET CAMPFIRE COOKING! Looks delicious! Arkansas camping is beautiful, but glad you were able to head back to tropical Florida.
Welcome back to Florida
Fredrick sure does bring out the Arkansas in you. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.
This was a 21-minute vacation. What a perfect forest niche. ⛺️ And the sound of those enchiladas when you pulled the lid! 😮 Shout out to Frederick and Miss Hays. 😂 This made my week, thank you, 9L. ✌️
You always find the cutest friends in the woods.🦡❤
That tent setup was actually pretty awesome. To wake up in the Florida woodlands with the sounds of nature and you’re in a real bed is definitely glamping and not overdoing the glamping, while still being out in nature. Congrats on the kickbutt meal you made too.
Those enchiladas look great and the overlook is beautiful. Your cooking is superior! I’ve never tried any enchiladas.

I gotta say this Chickapoo I'm really envious. The place, the time, the temperature! Its like 30° here so it's awesome to see in February. Biking. Deer. The tent-scape is awesome. The park is amazing. The set up is so cool and fantastic! Thanks for sharing. 🎉😎

Wow now seeing you reading that Bible says it all. I don't see that on people channels. You have my most respect.

Ayyy welcome back, Kelly. FL loves you!
Kelly, glad to see ya back here in FL....You class up the joint!!!😂❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
We call armadillos “ opossum on the half shell” 😂
Lmao Fred the armadillo. I was in Boca grande area and they are everywhere. I want to go back to Florida. Never been to Kissimmee. Trying to get going. Got a motorhome and a truck. Wanting to maybe get a van and sell the two. But love having my motorhome. Just too big most places. 31 feet 1983! Worried about the breakdowns with my autistic daughter.
Florida loves and needs Kelly Hays Hikes !
Boy, did your accent come out when that armadillo come around
"Go, git" lol that was great
Great video Kelly
I know I say it every video so I'll say it again, The food looked really good! You always make me hungry with your cooking. Whether a solo camp or camping with friends, you always looking like you are really enjoying your time.
“Rod were u wearing the armadillo helmet when you told them that story” lol that was hilarious kel!

Florida pulls you in like a magnet. One of us! One of us!🤣
Just a quick recommendation.
Hey Kelly, I live in Lake Wales and been to the park so many times. You should have hiked the Buster Island Trail it's 7 miles and very nice.
There are 3 New National Parks that have awesome Hiking.
That would be good video Oppertunities for viewers. Few have seen those trails and Parks.
Awesome! Thank you for sharing! That camera is amazing. Love the star pics
I love the campfire cooking videos!
...Wow ,, That looked like a great outing ... and campsite .... Lol,, dinner with Frederick .... Hey Kelly , I use taco seasoning in many meals .. don't you add water in yours ?? Fredrick causing a ruckus was crackin me up! Heck yea.

I’m halfway through this episode but I’m too hungry to watch anymore. Those enchiladas look sooo delicious. Please overnight one to me Kelly!😅
Hey MJ, "Mr. and Mrs. Hays", gotta love it LOL!
Enchiladas looked amazing!😮. All that bougie glamping, you needed to whip up a frozen margarita to have with those enchiladas!😊. Your video quality is definitely getting a lot more bougie, too❤ I’m gonna have to check out that camera!

welcome back to Fl
I think I would like a Florida winter better than a Montana winter.Enchiladas looked like they turned out real good.
New sub here. Cowboy Kent Rollins has a good channel on cooking in dutch ovens but you seemed to have done an awesome job. Those enchiladas had me drooling.
Your videos are so enjoyable!
Welcome back to Florida Kelly!
This my first viewing of your videos and I'm greatly impressed!
I'm torn between the OM5 and the new OM 1 Mark 2. The OM 5 is probably all I really need but I'm a photography nerd and l always fall for the latest and greatest marketing ploys! LOL
Love the video…looked up that park and the tent but they don’t show prices!! How much was that if you don’t mind me asking?? Might look into it!
What a great little tent set up they offer! Did Fredrick end up getting any enchiladas? They looked great!
I love how you cook real food with spices and also take good care of yourself. That will pay off in the years to come!
I love the Pinhoti hat!!
I was going to say, you left Florida the wrong time of year. The next few months are the best!
