Thank you, thank you, thank you! I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this video! Taking apart a machine that you’ve invested so much in is unnerving to say the least. Your video gave me the confidence to get this process done and replace a broken part! Bravo to you!
Good video. Isn't the air assist fan not so much for cooling but to blow the smoke out of the way of the laser beam so it's not trying to cut through a thick cloud?
Thank you for the video. Very helpful. Cold you please advise what is the name of the type of timing belt? ist it a GT2 timming belt 6mm width with a 2mm pitch?
I did this clean today and now my laser doesn't score or engrave properly. Everything is off by just a little bit. What can I do to fix it? I am doing a recalibration of the camera right now and the test pattern is not looking good either.
@@lumberrevolution3911 Hi, great suggestions. Did a Q-Tip clean with some water but ended up with it feeling kinda sticky? How would you recommend clearing out the bit that has moved into the join? Thank you - sticking with the more frequent dry cleans after this gets solved!
So i loosened the screw with the allen wrench to get the belt off. Now i keep tightening it back with the allen wrench but the belt is still loosey goosey. what am i doing wrong?
I love my glowforge, but it seems like they went out of their way to make it it difficult to clean. Every fan in the whole thing is a nightmare to get to and clean, and instead of isolating the wood smoke and resin to one easy to clean area, they let it go everywhere, even on electronics.
Thanx for the video. Very straightforward and informative. Cheers!
Thank you so so much! You were my hero today. my fan, it was so dirty idk how ANY air got through it at all O_O Thank you so much.
Thankyou! The 3mm Allen Wrench on the pulley is a game changer!!!
THANK YOU for this video! Especially the part about using the 3 mm tool to get to the belt!!! I was stuck on that step.

Thank you! Cleaned ours last night !

Thank you! You explained it perfectly and I did it myself! Woo-hoo!
Glad it helped!

I’m sorry I’m not sure what belt it is from glowforge.

Thanks for the help! I know you had mentioned dry clean vs ‘wet clean’. What is your recommendation for a ‘wet clean’?
We use a green spray that’s safe for electronics when cleaning the inlay fan or assist fan some soapy water on a qtip

Thank you for this video !
When using the wrench to tighten it - I am having an issue where I can't tighten at all... any suggestions?

Same! Did you ever figure this out? I'm not handy enough for this. :/
have you removed the exhaust fan since you're using external inline fan?
Subbed - Thanks
Had anyone else had a hard time loosening the belt? Mine if stuck as stuck can be 😢

great simple video but.... Why people play music over them talking when they are trying to explain something is beyond me
