I like how clean your shop is and how neat & organized your salvage parts are setup.
Thanks! It was certainly a long process to get it like this, fortunately one of the partners in the business has a good eye for that type of thing.
Hey, I'm in the same industry on a much smaller scale. I love getting these little glimpses into how you guys do things. I'd be very appreciative of more content like this.
Good luck and thanks for watching!
Cool breakdown on the car. What would be cool is an end of year update, what sold what didn't.
As a business owner I appreciate the breakdown of the numbers, too many people don’t understand how small profit can get fast when you start talking about payroll, taxes, shipping etc. different industry same stuff haha. I appreciate the videos brother keep it going.
The last few minutes of this were great. Thank you for providing such candid content about the business.
Stay at it Lee, definitely glad to see how far you've came with your business
Appreciate it!
Great content, cool to see the nuts and bolts of the business!
Thanks for always watching!
Loved this video. I’ve been contemplating starting this type of business. Will be staying tuned for more information. Thanks ✊🏾
I like how the cars are stacked inside the building, sure beats the old days of trudging through the mud for parts.
That was one of our goals in building this business, no one wants to get parts for their pride and joy out of a mud pit
Such great information and the the way you Broke the margins down was extremely eye opening and educational. Great job. Hope you do well.
Love what you guys do. The videos are great to watch. Keep up the great work guys…
Excellent cost factor video. There is a lot involved in the auto business most newbies don't understand. Had a small repair shop with little knowledge and little finances to start. Was a struggle, then paid off one tool, then one more, then acquired a paint booth..was commercially zoned. Then acquired some business contracts. Time is your friend. Look down the road, not just to the first intersection. There are many turns and twists....and temptations when the money starts coming in. Look for deals, buy in bulk, reduce yoour overhead and there will be light at the end. I sold my shop with all the tools and ten vehicles. Started something new. Good luck my friend. Excellent video.
I thoroughly enjoyed this! When I was younger I used to love buying Honda’s at the insurance auto auction. It was a lot of fun and downright addicting. Now that I’m older I have my sights set on a Porsche in the near future although I don’t think I’ll try to be getting one at auction, I’m not that brave. That was some really good insight that I’ve always wondered about. Thank you
Hope u see the comments to let u know that we are here supporting and hopping to see this channel grow
Really appreciate the transparency, keep up the good work
I have a bunch of of these coming, glad you enjoyed it!
Loved the frank behind the scenes look at a business like yours. Keep this type of content coming. Perhaps you might do a one year update to this particular video.
Wow, amazing detail, thanks for sharing this. Found your channel through your gt4 rebuild videos. You have a real gift for video and I have been slowly watching more of the older content. Would be really curious to learn how you got into the industry in a video.
Like the salvage stories keep them coming!!
I appreciate it! Going to make it a regular segment if you guys are enjoying it!
Yes, please make more of this kind of content.
Great information on this, I didn’t know there is that much though process in the salvage selling part. I buy them and fix them so it’s a totally different thinking process. Great work guys👍🏼
I bought a pair of s2k door sills from you guys. It came just as described with great packaging. Glad to find this channel!
Thanks for the biz and thanks for watching!
No risk, no reward. Love the GT3!
This video came up on my feed. You got a new subscriber. Looking forward to your content.
This episode & those like it are exactly why I subscribed to your channel!
Great content, thanks for making this type of video, well done.
I love how a lot of the videos you bring the viewers into it too, like job offers and when you let people find cars for you for $100 commission, I think this is great.
That’s what makes it fun!
Great video Lee. Watching this almost a year after you posted it and am curious to see how much of the inventory you've sold. Thanks.
Definitely dig it extremely valuable information please keep them coming.
Very interesting. I think you do an excellent job of producing these videos. Thanks for all the insight.
Great insight and break down on an exotic salvage. Thanks
Thank you for all the information!
Excellent video! Very nice to understand some of the financials in the business. I had this type of business decades ago focusing on Chevelle SS's but on a very small scale and found it very enjoyable and somewhat profitable. It's nice to see how what it takes to scale and remain successful with today's vehicles. Keep up the great work
Enjoyed this Video!
Cool to see the break down for sure. Awesome Channel here Lee!
Thanks for checking it out!
Loved the way you broke down the details
That was very informative and really enjoyed it.
Happy to hear that thanks for watching!
Fabulous video and great explanation of the economics of buying exotic cars for parting out. The salvage business requires the savvy of people like you who can take the risk, do the math and figure the margins. Appreciate the knowledge and skill required, it isn't easy as you have shown! Glad this one worked out, or appears to have anyway.
Independent Motors bought the shell from you which we will use to repair a right side damaged 991.2 GT3RS. We took the chance on a lightly damaged 2019 for rebuild and were looking for a quarter panel, door, fender and rear axle hoping they would be available when we bought the car. We were pleasantly surprised to find all but the quarter panel, which as you know is a little like finding a needle in a haystack. Fortunately, the timing was right and we had a sharp eyed man on the task who saw the shell in your inventory.
We'll show you the before and after photos when we are done with the project. A bit of cut and paste required, but the shell supplied the missing pieces.
Thanks for the video and the work you guys do. You run a first class shop.
Thanks for stopping by! You guys are the perfect use case for that chassis. I hope it’s a relatively easy fix for you guys.
@@scraplifegarage Oh I'm certain it won't be easy, but it will be a fabulous track car when finished, and one you can drive on the road to the track as well! These cars are too amazing to not rebuild.
Your a cool dude plus your content is the best mate
Good insights in your work process
Its adventurous to take a leap of faith and when you reach success, that feeling is the best dopamine injection... Ever - RIP gt3
Extremely interesting vid. Thanks ! 😎
Great vid! To see the potential on a crushed Porsche separates the pro from the regular car guy!
I jumped into the day trading business 3 years ago and I'm still going strong!
Follow your dreams and you (most likely) succeed!
"I think the mirror on this thing is worth more than a Camaro total" hahaha you guys are hilarious. just found your channel and subbed.
This was a really interesting video! As a car enthusiast, there are only so many “I bought the cheapest Gt3 in the country” videos that keep your interest. This was a different spin and very enjoyable.
Thanks so much for the financial breakdown! That is information that I would imagine is hard to find. Thanks for all your great videos. 🤘
I enjoy these types of videos. It's always interesting to learn more about all the different aspects of the automotive industry and get some behind the scenes input.
Thanks for watching! We’ll be doing more
Very transparent, good info for someone considering this business!

Thanks for the video but so sad to see the beautiful car parted out - Ouch

Did you have to do anything specific to start it with the blown airbags or it just started right up
Great video, I'm new subscriber from New York city, I appreciate the numbers break down, and do understand the risk in buying exotic salvage cars, I'm more like u I stick with the fast moving items, that I know well and very very high demand.(mustang, camaro, vettes etc) thank you and good luck with your future
Thanks for watching!

Nice Video Lee Thanks
Hey Lee...seen a lot of your latest videos over the last 4 or5 months...Ive commented a lot ,on how good they are...this is no exception...great car and insight. Love to know 11 months down the track how well the parts have sold. Cheers mate
I would like to see more breakdown videos like this. I enjoyed it
I have a few more coming right up!
Epic Video, ..I was an assistant manager back in the 70's..San Diego Foreign, start at 15 by 18 assistant manager...organization is the key, know your stock..I was buying insurance auctions 30-40 cars at a time, banging em out,... 911SC, Carreras, 356's..we were racking it in...had the market cornered,...this guys got it down to a statistical science...epic...
That’s awesome man! If only it was still like that 😅
Bro on tires absolutely epic funny 😆 keep it up great looking gem 88k is a steal
I’m a FAN FOR LIFE
holy shit! seeing your numbers is hella motivating!
This was a excellent video…..
This is an awesome video from an industry pro. Thanks for the insight!
Thanks for the kind words!
Interesting thank you
I really appreciate the insight into the late model scrap world. I'm an auto engineer by trade and have a few side hustles doing rebuildable exotics and vintage muscle restoration/preservation and flips.
Lately, I've been looking at expanding my interests and am considering the porsche salvage field. Could be tough here in Los Angeles because we have a couple of porsche specific dismantlers.
Anyway this was a unique insight into the financials and that is greatly appreciated.
Best of luck for continuing success
Thanks man, I know it’s a little niche but people seem to like it
Awesome information.
Great channel!
Thank you for the quick education. You did very well, so I’m investing in a subscription.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video
Awesome too Cool, I like your business.

Rip
I like when you break it down
Enjoying your content, best regards.
Happy to hear!
It's so good, please do more videos like this with all the costs! Thanks
You got it!
@@scraplifegarage thanks very much, from Australia!
Damn wish I had known about this 8 months ago. I am like 4 hours away in Maryland and working for you guys seems cool as hell lol.
Do you guys part every car? or do some cars come in that you guys elect to just rebuild and sell? its cool seeing you guys make videos since ive bought a bunch of stuff from you guys before ha!
Thanks for watching! We part out most! Just fixed a vette though, have a video on it next week!
At first I thought it was just a front end collision, and based on that, possibly repairable. This is after all a $200k ++ car. But then I saw the right rear quarter….. It would be interesting to know how the collision happened. Also, to know how the parts will be used. How much did you list the engine and tranny for?
PORSCHE EVEN GOOGLE SAYS IT RIGHT >>>POR-SHUH
The excitement is worth more than the car itself 😜
It's good to see that it's not just about the money.
On the contrary, this series is all about the money 😅
Dude- this is great- fascinating shit!
Great video I always had that idea of buying a crashed super car and fixing
Thanks for watching!
Experience is PRICELESS!
Hopefully I get some at some point!
Just asking why you rebuild a crispy burned hellcat but part out this awesome Porsche ? 😂 love this channel ❤🔥🔥
what company do you mechanics use to transport a big snap on tool box from state to state?
Most techs generally either have, or know someone who has a trailer to move boxes. Otherwise they’ll hire a tow truck.
Haha Pour Richard’s. Nice
hello, i am looking for e30 m3 rear quarter panels. just wondering if you have some in stock
Cool video and insight on the specialty parts business. Also love the Baltimore accent--very similar to Philadelphia's beautiful dialect ("Hoagie Mouf"). Takes one to know one. 😁
Probably the reason I say POORSH
@@scraplifegarage LOL. I have to throw out a "wudder" every now and again. Great stuff, just subscribed.
@@raymondadams8482 wudder, Warshington, etc
Great content all around, have a Couple Gen6 Camaro’s, looking for a nice Gen 6 Z06 - would you consider running a project for me as a customer?
good job mate
That green miata in the background, brought me to your channel
I’m glad it’s good for something other than rotting in the lot!
