Jonathan Young raises yet another faction in the Warhammer 40K universe to stardom with his newest song about the Death Korps! this one is equal parts patriotic and malevolent with an unrelenting pace, and I love every second of it! GO RUN THIS UP!

The Death Korps come from a planet called Krieg. It used to be a pretty standard Hive World until its upper classes declared independence from the Imperium, causing a split between the rulers of the planet and the Imperial Loyalists that refused to rebel with them. The civil war that followed resulted in the Loyalists using weapons of mass destruction that devolved the world to a radiation blasted hell hole. The survivors were accepted back by the Imperium but on the condition that they properly repent for the rebellion, mainly by supplying the majority of the population as soldiers to be used in the most brutal campaigns. In order to meet the mandate for conscripts, they were given permission to use what is essentially cloning tech to rapidly produce new Guardsmen (it’s the reason that you won’t see Kriegers without a face concealing helmet, since cloning is considered a Tech-Heresy).
The Zombie Kriegers in the video have been infected by one of Nurgle’s plagues (This might be wrong, I haven’t seen that specific animation but it feels the most likely).

It's the mind scarabs from the Necrons infecting the Kriegers, the scenes of them attacking the Salamander and the Sister of Battle are from the Pariah Nexus animation.

great reaction, Kriegsmen are indeed one of the most badass units in the Imperial Guard. I wont go into a summary of their history as it has been explained in other comments by what i read, but i want to explain the mindset of someone that serves the death Korps. It has been drilled into them that they all are sinners, due to that rebbelion the nobles of their planet did against the imperium all those years ago, and only through death in the Emperor's service will they find atonement and repetance. As a result Kriegsmen are a nightmare to fight, cause they will not for a split second show fear in front of an enemy, that being a regular cultist, an ork or a chaos space marine (if anything they crave death as, again, they believe that is the only way for them to clean themselves of sin). as for the zombie like kriegsmen in the video, they are propably possessed by something, as kriegsmen are just humans (or clones, or child soldiers, or child soldier clones. its all up for debate still).
Sorry for the long explanation, the 40k nerd in me had to go brrr XD. i will close with a quote that perfectly explains the Death Korps of Krieg:

They specialize in trench and positional warfare, inspired by the battles of World War I.
The Death Korps are known for waging brutal and prolonged siege campaigns against the enemies of the Empire. Krieg was devastated by war and poison after the rebellion, leaving its inhabitants to survive in a nearly uninhabitable hell, but the destruction was caused by the inhabitants themselves to exterminate the traitors. The iconic gas masks are worn by Krieg soldiers at all times due to the toxic environment of their homeworld.
Every citizen of Krieg serves as a soldier until death.

If you want more warhammer songs hannes h is fantastic the lyrics are his everything but the vocals are his the vocals are ai but still good you should watch leutin09 death korps of krieg explained for lore on the kreigsman
