Lots of the clips used here don't match up that well with the points being made and it occurred to me that these videos could easily be hours long to do them justice. Next time I do one of these videos I'll find better clips or make the video longer and more in-depth! Must do better... [grabs whip]

Some musings on this vid, take it as that:
Ni / Ne? Look at J and P, there will be a difference. J closes, P opens. E quickly, I slowly. EP "opens" / gathers quickly. IP "opens" / gathers slowly. Elon doesn’t “close” at all. His speech is very open-ended and connected. Te is bullet points / quick closes. His Ti is extremely high and valued. High Ni as "critic" Ni... or demonstrative Ni. His Ne is responsible and won’t come out as “typical” Ne for Ne leads comes off as, zany and wild. It serves his Ti. Ti is a very elegant function. The perfect schematic for whatever it want’s to “map.”
Talks about Edison, then Edison vs. Tesla, then why he named it Tesla... Pe/Ne and Ji/Ti. That is an example of P opening vs J closing. Fan of Edison because of Edison's Se ability to bring N ideas to reality, to others... Se and Fe, PoLR and Aspirant / Inferior respectively. We hardly revel in our top two processes. We know those as the back of our hand, so much so that we don't even realize that we do. Do you get more enjoyment form theoretical discussions or having someone REALLY love your music? By more, I mean REAL enjoyment, that sense of completion, love, understanding, and belonging?
INTJs with Te, are concerned about what other's think. Not as in what others may think of them, INTJs are “better” at Te than Te dominants. More responsible. But they want others to have the right information. Te in the aggregate does this. EJs are pushy, IJs less so in this regard. The pragmatics, statistics of others. He doesn't do any of this. He cares, first and foremost about what he thinks, his own comparisons. Ji = self referencing. Je = other referencing. (Really I and E, or inside reference vs. outside reference.)

Note: not that he DOESN'T care what others think. He just doesn't want to impose or fuse his thoughts with others as Te over Ti would. He does have strong T, but flows from Ti to Te. Or, he spends more time in Ti. We barely see the introverted functions, by their very nature. So when his Te does come out, it may be big and impactful, as Te tends to be. But he doesn't do that ALL the time as a high Te. Te lead will be that. Te aux will do that as one uses a tool, or for others. Elon doesn’t really talk like that at all, IMO.
Ni lead even with Te may not really care about the details of a McLaren F1 or go into how many miles (give a specific) one puts on it as someone with Si valuing. Se trickster... the reality aspect of that entire car wreck situation was comical to him. INTJs would NOT laugh about that. INTJs are pretty serious about Se. They attempt to master it. It is likely that he would be devastated that he “failed” at Se / mastering reality. Just like we all attempt to master our 4th function.
      Okay, a lot of rambling / musings… so…
INTP... who will "extravert" as ENTJ. But think of it as a special ability, it needs to fill up its gauge. A special attack! Rare but EPIC! (Note: his childhood seemed to be very lonely. He didn’t’ care to figure others out as NTJs do, want to figure out what others are doing / the pattern, then emulate the pattern in order to “fit in” - LiJo has a vid on this. Other NTJs speak of this.)

I assumed he was an ENTJ. He doesn't seem to have a problem opening up to people, he seems quite intelligent and focuses on understanding how things work, and he seems to be focusing more with a way of thinking about something rather than focused on how he feels about it or what someone else feels about it, and he seems to like to keep digging deeper into things and take action and keep progressing rather than just thinking and studying for a long time without doing much until he's fully prepared to know what he wants.

INTJ here. I always assumed Elon, was an INTP, but ENTJ sounds like a much better fit than an INTJ. Why? Primarily, his obvious ease with Se. I've known a couple of ENTJs, and their natural loop (which is anti-social, as with any loop, hence its easy to confuse him for an introvert): is Te-Se. In other words: they're super-productive. As an INTJ, my natural loop is Ni-Fi, so it's unsurprising that we're third most susceptible to limerence trailing only INFJ and INFP (daydreaming with Fi is the OPPOSITE of productive, lol). I also struggle with Se, as I always want to be in my Ni-which takes oxygen away from Se.

As an iNtuitive first and foremost (intellectual and visionary): that suggests to me Se is part of his loop-where he goes to play. This ease with Se: is what makes ENTJ so damn productive. ENTJ does seem to explain this the best. And I've typed as ENTJ before, we are similar, with all the same functions: just shifted one. I've also seen no evidence that he has the same ease with his Fi, that I have with mine for example.

@@kokofan50 Ok, Mr super efficient. Are you SURE you're INTJ? Sounds more like being led by Te, ie: ENTJ to me. Apparently mistypings between ENTJ and INTJ, are amongst the most common in MBTI. Ni-being the ONLY function that can only be used when truely alone and introverted, as a lead: drinks time like the space shuttle drinks fuel-I know that first hand. I also know, my loop is Ni-Fi, yet this doesn't seem to effect you either. You even seem to be quite dismissive of your Fi, which again: would suggest an inferior position (not being treated aspirationally, either). I mean, I think I'm blunt: but you really eclipse me there.
What I am: is true hero Ni. I build model warships to museum standards for fun- that's 300hrs or a year for a frigate or destroyer in '350. I won the shipwright trophy for last year's attempt. It's the most difficult type of model you can build, a ship with all the extra detail. Pure Ni. That's for children, compared with the 30yrs it's taken me to teach myself how to paint in the most difficult and demanding style, with the toughest canon I could find in the history of art; 19th Century Naturalism, which I knew would give me a niche all my own, IF I could figure it out (I did, and it has, I'm the only person in the Southern Hemisphere that can paint in this style). I also do karate four times a week: yet another hobby that requires ten years AND ten thousand hrs, as a minimum for relative mastery. Plus, I love my Fi child. It is my source of joy-as it is for an INTJ. Not my working 80hrs a week, which is being VERY comfortable in Se. Almost...as if Se, is your child, and that's where you go to play...

Pondering is something that Elon does as well, as can be confirmed from Justine Musk's personal articles. He indulges in emotions way more than what has been suggested regarding ENTJs. I'd say the many stereotypes that persist around a certain type usually devolve if its a unique form of that type. Either ENTJ or INTJ could work. The way he indulge himself with sensation makes me think more INTJ. A good friend of mine is ENTJ and I'm INTJ, she can indulge into sensation but so much rarely than me. I think ENTJ with Se in third position are more mature with it, they do that only when they struggle a lot with their Fi, to forget, INTJ do that everytime they need a release, in a really childish way. It's like "I do that, that and that, so I fucking deserve to do reckless and stupid shits", ENTJ is more "Why did I do that and why people said that I showed an emotion ?". And yes, INTJ can be over-achiever, I'm always doing something, sleep rarely and constantly push me to the limit of my body cause I'm totally ignoring the alarm he gives me, my ENTJ friend is more cautious with her body, she listen to it more but she tends to ignore more often her feeling. And usually I'm more aware of why I'm doing thing, and enjoy explaining my vision, she's more about telling what she does without any explanation. I know that I'm not the usual INTJ on the internet, I'm really people focused, ended up as a leader many time in my life and enjoyed it, cause all of this matched with my vision and how accomplished it. Ni dominant put you in unusual way somtimes I think.

The reverse is Oppenheimer. He is a INTP with a very high developed Ne. That makes him look like an ENTP sometimes, but just logically, you don’t get to be one of the most successful people in the world by intuition. You get successful by logic, and that logic has to be impeccable. However what seperates elon from the rest of the entj is Ni. He masters Ni (probably by the Fi interest in books he had from a younger age). Fe is more of an altruistic, externally directed function which aims to accomplish harmony in the society as opposed to Fi which is more internal and based on personal values and more related to overt display of emotions as personal sentiments.
In other words Fi is emotions in a more pure personal form that comes out involuntary as genuine tears.Fe is more about using your emotions as a tool for doing good in the society by altruistic works, social harmony endeavours etc. Fe is less about tearing up involuntarily during an interview on a topic.

And it seems clear that first and foremost he looks at the bigger picture, the betterment of society for all, and the foresight to see it completed in his mind, before he jumps into execution, he first has the very specific FI goal, and that shows me that he is INTJ.
As for behaviors, these can differ significantly from one person to another even if they share the same type.

As for the energy that was mentioned, INTJs when focused on an objective or goal they are passionate about, they can be more energetic, driven, and motivated than any Extroverted type, they focus all their energy on it... Definitely INTJ with Strong TE combined with FI with a sprinkle of SE...

I also struggle with Se, as I always want to be in my Ni-which takes oxygen away from Se.

also watch how he dressed: no jewelry/expensive sunglasses or even a watch on he's hand and the colors he choose to wear are "boring" and it's look like he don't want to draw attention.(or low awareness of fashion)
Also the way he responds and not adding more subjects show us that he is responsive( introvert).
He's a INTP, and as INTP myself, if I would have millions I would also bought something very expensive just to feel how it's like and likely would not extremely value the shiny things and status after I had it already as much as the ENTJ(or ESTP) would.

Most Entj when they communicate with people, really think how to articulate and put structure into their words due to Te. I can see that his Te/Fi functions are not in his main function stuck. He look more like Ti/Fe. So maybe xNTP type goes better. My guess in that he is ENTP 7w6 ILE .
7w6 sounds counterintuitive, but ENTP 7w6 (due to both 7 and 6 e types being in thinking triad) can be really really bright.
In addition by growing up in an environment interested in business and engineering, and by being an NT type lean on learning new stuff, he learned to be more introverted and manage his time well.
I think that this is the reason we see MUSK as a creative, conscientious being as a E5, and at the same time an opportunistic individual being able to do many things together like E7.
I dont consider him at all an E5, and i have a friend in college that he has the same features. He is smart, quick - witted, he looks geeky like a 5, but at the same time he is social and engaging, ready to debate about everything. He is 100% not like a stereotypical entp 7W8, but he has many common things with it (leans a little more to book smart stuff like INTP due to 6 presence, looke a little less confident, charismatic and dominant due to 8 absence)

Yes, good typing. Finally! Someone with a brain!
There are so many differences between introverts like us and extroverts like Elon.
I have an ENTJ friend and he's way more academically successful and in life in general.
He seems introverted at first as well. But you can easily mistake Te for an introverted function because you can only see it when in action, not in thinking. In thinking you see both functions. But when doing you can really see Te.
Also, his Fi is kinda of childish in my opinion for an INTJ. I for one I have a pretty intricate philosophical framework that makes every belief system to be tested. One of the reasons why we as INTJs don't accomplish that much is because of our conscious Fi. We think deeply about the things that we want. While Fi inferiors like ENTJs just take things for granted.
This kind of purist idealism leads us to focus more on instrumental goals than on terminal goals.
The first is an INTJ primary way of thinking. Strategizing. Thinking about actions that trigger other possible avenues of expansion. An INTJ focuses on the methods.
The latter, on the other hand, focuses on the final destination or end goal. ENTJs focus on their objectives. Everything is tailored towards accomplishing their objectives. They focus on the result. An INTJ would never sacrifice risking to have a bad outcome due to wrong methods used.
Also, INTJs are more stoic. We like to ponder about the deeper things in life. We can get into existential crisis pretty easily due to seeing the meaningless of life.
We also are really critical of others beliefs. Fe PoLR manifests itself as a lack and complete disregard of social conditioning.
We don't like it when we are conditioned to do anything. If we do something is only because we want to. Just like INTPs.
In fact, us INTJs in regards to the extroverted realm, are more akin to INTPs than to ENTJs, as fellow introverts. We both like to take a step back and be the observer. This ensures us the possibility of looking objectively at the situation and detecting potential errors in the methods used. We like to envision before acting, unlike ENTJs.
Also, us INTJs, we feel that it is our duty not so much to control, but to delegate in spreading the message of self awareness in society. To better society not so much by our inventions, but to better it though the message that those may give. Just like Nikola Tesla. He wanted to make society a better and peaceful place, his inventions were his methods that he used in order to attain that objective. He didn't care for himself, for how others would view him or the petty disputes of social conduct.
He knew that his mission is to do anything that he can do so that people will live closer to his ideals of peaceful cooperation.
An INTJ mission is first and foremost to spread this message. We want for society to be cohesive and stable. Our contribution is in making sure that it is developing in the right path.
You can also see this with Nikola Tesla. He knew that his inventions could be used for bad, so he destroyed some of them so that they won't get in the hands of the bad guys to use them for their purposes.
Social cohesion is the upmost important objective of an INTJ. To make sure that society follows our morals and our ideals. Because they are good, and we want the best for ourselves, and like so, we want the same for society at large.
The bias that INTJs are villains is flawed and wrong, and Nikola Tesla is a living proof of the opposite.
Now, the same argument for Elon being an Ni user can be made for Tesla as well, as every action of his was meticulously planned and it was not left to chance like Ne users do. Ni creates it's own luck, it doesn't depend on external luck like Ne.
I hope that this would suffice in regards to our differences between our mirror type, the ENTJ.
Again, great analysis Nathan! It seems as ESFPs are really good analysts. I predicted your typing from the start of the video.
Also, could you do a similar analysis video for Bill Gates and Steve Jobs?
    Thanks in advance and cheers!
    -an INTJ

Usually 5-6 books a day, while writing and watching a show and having a conversation or two, or more books in a day without doing some of that. I would not be comforted by a lack of photos being what dark is, though I would understand it; because, logically, the lack of photos make it harder to see and more easy for something that sees well with less photons being availalbe to sneak up on me. The understanding does not change the danger of the dark. Toes still get stubbed and coyotes still bite.

Videos like this are why the MBTI won’t ever get into mainstream media. When people try make introverted and extroverted say “oh they can be socially awkward and still be an extrovert.” it just shows how unreliable and poor the validation is. MBTI channels like this use stereotypes. I’m unsubscribing because channels like this just divide the MBTI community even further and further make the MBTI look unreliable. INTPs can stick to things. If Elon Musk is an extrovert then I guess Abraham Lincoln is ENTP, Warren Buffet is an ESTJ just because he owns a company and talks to people, and it’s ridiculous how much people divide about it. Yes you are correct, cultural norms should be kept in mind although the IMEs are universally applicable the *WAY* how they are utilized is likely not. The link established between is that different cultures may utilize IMEs differently(and yes it may impact their decisions/beliefs) but they are still using the same thing. For example your hands can be used in more than one way.
I think truth lost to interpretation is more likely an occurrence in words conveyed in abstract fashion that are open to interpretation rather than concrete/literal ones such as a Biography that a person has go in detail about himself for others to pickup on it rather than an abstract thought/theory lacking experience and only imaginary so I doubt much is lost.
the Ti subtype of LSI can look like LII, the creative function is not as visible as the base function(especially if the person is likely concealing it). Although as even this video suggests Elon is very dedicated and unwilling to make compromises towards his visions (Ni HA) this points towards Ne PoLR since he is not open minded.
To answer your initial question in a better way, I would say it is unlikely since LSIs according to Gulenko who I deem to be a credible source are good at witty humor too which is what people attribute to his Ne but that is the extent of it. Elon does value Ni as a more prominent aspect of who he is(or at least claims to be), while the demonstrative is strong it still isn't a function of value. He values efficiency (first principle approach) and is thinking about how to advance humanity (SpaceX, sustainable energy generation and transport) he’s good at explaining his thoughts (why he does the things the way he does and for what purpose), isnt that clearly dominant Te? Also if one read the interview he gave to Rolling Stone in 2017 where he said he hates to be alone (I don’t remember the article very well anymore), one could see that his inferior function is Fi; wanting to be in a relationship really bad but having issues to make it work. I’m not sure if INTJs care to be in a relationship really bad and hate being alone.

I think Elon Musk is very hard to type. He is a very complex individual and his behaviour has changed much between early-career Musk and later-career Musk.
After a lot of time reading into him, I think he is an ENTP who looks like he values Ni, but actually doesn't. He has managed to bring out Ni in support of Ne motivations. ENTJ does not explain the full range of data available on Musk, but better explains a limited amount of public data in a set period of time (when he was working ridiculously hard to get his businesses set up, and telling everyone about future disasters). In contrast, ENTP is able to explain the full range of data (how he has become very distracted since with a broad range of other, seemingly frivolous and unlikely projects, and also his desire to give up personal property in order to placate public criticism), while accepting that at some points in his career, he has not been fully sincere or perhaps simply not aware of WHY he is doing what he is doing.
Additionally ENTP with Fi as the blind spot, and Si as the inferior function, much better describes his insufficiencies in his personal life than ENTJ. He needs physical, supportive company, hates to feel physically alone, but frequently overlooks matters of personal boundaries and attitudes.

One that needs a slap to recalibrate.... "With great power comes great responsibility."
