- Flowers and Foliage Episode 13: How to Paint a Watercolour Summer Wildflower Wreath
Every few episodes I will throw in a paint along that incorporates what we've learnt over the past few tutorials. It's so important to have fun and use your new flower painting skills for creative projects like this. So here is a lovely wreath painting using the Summer flowers we have learnt: buttercup, daisies, brambles, blackberries, blossom and lavender.

So pretty Harriet. Thank you for your detailed instructions.
You are so welcome!
Those blackberries really do come to life. Beautiful
That's very kind of you, thank you Margaret.
oh so pretty, love your art
Thank you! Cheers!
I’m really enjoying your tutorials Harriet. I wonder if you could do some more zoom ins, especially with the lighter coloured pieces. Thanks for your cheery smile and wonderful teaching!
Hi Wendy, we do in newer videos

Yes! Spring is on its way!
So beautiful! I’m so happy that I came across you on RUclips as your style of painting is achievable for me and allows me to access painting what I love.
Thank you so much 😀
So pretty. Love your way of teaching, great tutorial
Thank you! Cheers!
Very Pretty! thanks for sharing and making it look so easy, I'm sure when I try it will look like a kindergarten painting! LOL! Can't wait to try the blackberries though, I love the way you have figured out how to simplify and loosen the different flowers, that's what I am working on, I am far too detailed! Shelley
Thanks so much Lawrence, I'm sure you'll create something beautiful. It's all about practise! But it's great that you're trying out something different with this looser approach. You can always layer up detail
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
This is so pretty! I love it! Two things: 1. What color do you use to paint the shadows on the daisies? and 2. Could you please film the closeups from above rather than from the side? I can’t see what you’re working on. Thank you so much! And thanks for taking the time to create these beautiful and helpful videos! 💝💖💝
Hi Gina thanks so much for your feedback, we're gradually improving our angles and the light to make sure the detail shows up so I will have a think about this. Shadows on daisies is a very dilute blue and brown mix. I used Prussian Blue and burnt sienna.
Beautiful 🥰🎨
Thank you! Cheers!
This is so pretty. It looks to sophisticated but u make everything easy .Thanks..... I question to ask :If I can use camlin poster colors for painting as watercolors. Please do give feedback ❤
Edit : if u could do a review video of those colors..... Mmmm
Hi Nalini, thanks for your message. I'm not sure that you would get the same seamless colour blends with poster paint colours so I wouldn't recommend using them as substitutes for watercolour. But always worth experimenting to see what you come out with.
So beautiful! How do you erase the pencil marks above de water color? It’s impossible to me
Hi Nadia, it's important that the initial pencil marks are super faint. I usually rub them out lightly at the start before painting so I can only see the faintest bit. Then in painting with a translucent, watery mix, the pencil still stands a good chance of being rubbed out after. I use a putty rubber and an HB pencil.
