As usual, simple yet elegant. I am 'famous' for my tuna salad. Red onion, green onion, hardboiled egg, celery, dill pickle, capers, mayo. I'm going to try this and save myself a lot of time! Gracias Albert
I'll definitely have to try this. I've always make my tuna the way my mum taught me. Finely chopped onions, can of tuna, black pepper, mayo and vinegar
Canadian looking to find a way to spice up my ordinary tuna sandwich. Came across your video by accident. I've never used a fresh baguette before and the taste test with the crunch at the end won me over. Tried one tonight and it was delicious. Never going back to ordinary bread. Thank you
I reserve all fish oils for my cats. It's a healthy treat, stretches your $$$, and helps prevent hair obstructions. It's also great for making medications more palatable. You can store the oil in your freezer, but should mark it with date frozen.
I do not tolerate mayonnaise even in tiny amounts, but have found that nonfat Greek (aka full cream) yogurt works as a good substitute. So next time I make my low-carb sandwich rolls I'll give this a try, adjusted for my peculiar physiology.
Albert: Delicious! Canned tuna in olive oil - my favorite of all *"bachelor foods."* 😋 I can't wait to make this one. Gotta go get... a baguette. Thanks again, and have a great weekend. (Fan from San Francisco, California.) *!!~
Good morning Alberto, we had a tune mayo and lettuce sandwich just yesterday, it is one of our favourite sandwiches. It is always delicious and nutritious. It was made no as exotic as your recipe today, I will definitely try the extra ingredients. Did not think olives will compliment the tune, but, there you go, never too old to learn something new and tasty. Thank you for sharing, stay healthy.
This!!! Tuna or salmon sandwiches are so versatile. I also love adding diced apple, grapes, or mandarin orange for contrast/variety/change of pace. Yummmm...Duke's mayo is the BEST!
We just finished our tuna sandwich. It was really nice. We had fish soup as a starter ( from a tin :( ). It was really a full meal. Thx for video. Greetings Rolf & Elle from Holland
Awesome-looking sandwich, will definitely try it. I've always been a fan of tuna sandwiches, and I've found that keeping the tuna and mayo separate accentuates both flavors.
Happy Father’s Day to you too. Thank you for your incredible tuna sandwich. Looks wonderful especially with the garlic mayo. I’ll be making it soon with my homemade bread. Today I’m making your paella with shrimp and topped with grilled salmon. since i had that available. Plenty of extra virgin Spanish olive oil, smoked paprika and topped with fresh oregano, basil leaves and thyme, peas and chopped green beans. I also intend to make your beans and zucchini topped with poached eggs. A good protein packed dish would be great for breakfast. Any suggestions for a Spanish cheesecake would be appreciated. Have a great day. Joe.
Oh wow that looks fantastic.😋 That's a Dagwood Special for sure. I love that idea for spicing up mayo. I would add one more thing to mine and that's a nice dollap of spicy brown mustard or Dijon mustard on the other slice of bread. Yum Yum! 🙂
As a bit of trivia, in most Spanish bakeries and bars where you can buy ready-made sandwiches, this one is labeled "vegetable sandwich" for some bizarre reason.
We just finished our tuna sandwich. It was delicious. Thx for the video. We had fish soup (from a tin :) ) as a starter and a big sandwich after that. We really enjoyed that. Have a great evening. Rolf & Elle from Holland.
Looks so much better than the usual American version of mixing mashed up tuna and mayonnaise. Presentation really does make things seem to taste better. I'll bet it's easier to eat in a pita pocket bread, though. LOL
I've made a similar version of this sandwich but the aioli is a "must try." One thing - those olives look like California olives that come out of a can. I'll use a different kind.
Love it, I gave bread and rice up for Lent but look forward to having this after Easter.
Sounds great! Much love :)
I've given up bread also (for other reasons) so I'm going to try this on a low-carb tortilla.
Tuna salad sandwich is my first choice . I love tuna. The type of tuna I use makes all the difference. Big difference. Yours looks fabulous.
Thank you! Much love :)

Beautiful sandwich.I’m going to try it. Thank you
Much love :)
Looks scrumptious! My only thought is: use the olive oil from the cans of tuna for the garlic aioli. Will boost the tuna flavor! Thank you, SOAF!
I think he didn't use it because the tuna flavor might overpower the other flavors

You totally can, I just prefer to use a high-quality EVOO to make the garlic mayo aioli, much love :)
Wow this looks so good. Definitely going to make this tomorrow, so simple yet very healthy and sounds delicious! Thanks

What an amazing combo for a sandwich. Thank you, never regretted subscribing.

@@afn-bd2ro Thanks for your concern, I'm sure it's delicious, but I'm allergic to it and become very sick when exposed.

Ohh I can make this but I would leave the top banquette, otherwise you can't take a bite without losing all the greens, lol. Awesome sandwich. 👏😆❤️

Out of curiosity, why wouldn't you use the oil from the tuna to make the sauce (since it would enhance the tuna flavour)?
I rather use a high-quality EVOO to make the garlic mayo aioli, but you can totally use the olive oil from the tuna :) Much love
😋

I don't eat mayonnaise. Growing up, my aunt would make me tuna with olive oil and lemon. I will try this but no mayo.
Sounds great! Much love :)
So the message I am getting is if I use an Italian tuna in olive oil or extra virgin olive oil the sandwich is gong to suck … interesting
Yup!
EPIC??????
Does look good but I’ll probably mix my mayo up with the tuna
Not my taste. But beautifully made and tastes certainly many.

I "hate/cannot stand" olives............. black, green, doesn't matter............... :(
